These are beautifully Gold Numismatic Coins sought after by a rather small group of Collectors. There is a substantial price PREMIUM (over its gold content) attached for each coin, depending on its condition. If oneself is seriously wanting & staking Gold, don't buy this type of gold coins .. go for the ubiquitous Gold Britannia, Gold Maple Leaf, American Gold Eagles and Buffalos etc. It is good to have a couple of these beautiful coins to enjoy .. stacking gold this manner ???

What year was the sov? If you prefer the Brits and don't mind the additional premium keep to them they should still do ok in the long term
