It's a very sensible choice if you want a very reliable and long-lasting low maintenance watch that looks smart and conservative - and unlikely to go out of style.
That’s exactly how I see the Gentleman 😁 i love the Aqua Terra, the silver dial with blue hands/indices is my dream piece. This is an excellent alternative. How are you liking yours after a year or so now?
Good looking watch, Rob, thanks for the nice review. Even without it on your wrist in the dark, if you feel for crown, if it's on the right, then 12:00 is in the correct position
I own the Visodate. I have only been complimented twice by strangers on my watch. The first time was my Visodate. It's a beautiful watch. Similar to this, but not as technically accomplished. Great value for the price. Underrated watches.
Picked up at Macy’s few months ago blue dial for $629 sale price. Nice watch wish I would of waited for the PRK Powermatic. But still overall happy with the watch.
I think the PRX would get very tired very quickly. My first reaction of footage was wow! Now I'm like.... Meh..... I'd much prefer the gentlemen. Would love to see it with fully brushed bracelet.
Good thing it has true half links because I could never get a proper fit on my Movado Luno Sport with their three-quarter sized links and now I am stuck with that watch.
Really nice watch, you really can't go wrong with this one. The only thing I would have preferred would be a solid caseback, to make it a little thinner. Nothing to see there anyways though it does look like it might use etachron. Nice review, thanks.
Is this bracelet anything like the prx bracelet? I ask cuz I hated the prx bracelet with all the sharp edges. Is this one more smooth and better made? Thx
Do you think this watch is too small for an 8" wrist? What do you think of the Tissot gent XL classic (42mm) and swissmatic (43mm)? I like the dial finish much more on this powermatic, but id love any recommendations on similar watches in bigger dial sizes.
I have see several reviews about this model and in all of them i heared only good things. In my opinion this watch is overpriced. Starting from the movement its a downgrated 2824 (from 28800 bph to 21600 bph) and the 80 hours power reserve means for me thinner and more sensitive main spring. As for the case, the the back cover is pressed down and is cheaper instead of screw down cover and the batterfly clasp doent give the ability of micro adjustment. Ok the watch is shiny but it is not in the good watch class for collectors. This is my opinion and sorry for my english as i am Greek. Thank you.
I like Rob's videos for actual footage of watches, but I'm realizing I don't actually learn anything new on this channel, its a lot of the same "its kinda like uh, or maybe..." Try to learn more about the watches you are reviewing, don't just crank out content for the sake of it.
Just to change the narrative criticising seiko atm. How can tissot charge so much just for casing a movement they haven’t designed or created. Only altered and beautified. Very lazy
Total BS. Tissot is part of the Swatch group and the movement is ETA, and therefore Swatch. And Tissot prices very competitively for this watch, which is on a par with much higher grade brands.
Stunning watch. I own blue dial and admiring every moment of wearing it.
This is a great watch - almost on a par with Rolex for a fraction of the price. I have the blue face version and it's stunning.

My buddy got one in blue recently, and it's running +1sec/day. He's quite impressed.
I got the blue one with leather strap and it's also exactly +1sec/day :)!!! love it!
@@HajoBenzin1 same here, +1sec a day with some days +0. It's a good reliable watch.
is it running 1 sec a day forwards or afterwards? i didn't get that
Same here :-) +1 sec/day. Great watch!
I got one of these back in the spring ... love it ! I call it the poor man's Aquaterra 😁

@@thisoldbelair i love it wear almost everyday
@@phillyeli215 great to hear, thanks for the reply 👍
Tissot are not exactly "cheap". But cheaper than an Omega. So , point made.
This ones the plain Jane of the Tissot series however great movement and design. Thx Rob!
Most especially when one thinks of the ongoing QC issues and raised prices of Seiko, Tissot is hard to beat.
Great looking watch. Looks even better in person because of the way the light plays with the case polishing and indices.

I've had this watch. Really nice watch for the money.
Tissot offers high quality at an affordable price
Have one in green, and it is worth buying.
Also a car and watch enthusiast here. Two expensive hobbies to have!
Watches take up way less space. My watch garage is getting full though.

As nice as it is to see auto movements, a thin watch is better. I agrre
I love blue dial..
If this watch was 38mm or smaller I would be very interested
So funny….Purolator just delivered the exact same watch I bought online over the weekend!
Website Link???
A Rolex Killer
"Snort".
Needs a No date version
Is this bracelet anything like the prx bracelet? I ask cuz I hated the prx bracelet with all the sharp edges. Is this one more smooth and better made? Thx
It's waaay better than that flimsy shxt on the PRX.
Excellent video as always.. Question: It sure looks like it has a pressed in caseback, is this true or is it a screwdown?
Snap on (pressed)
Nice DJ41

is the bracelet screw down or push pin?
Hi, is it possible to put a jubilee style bracelet on this watch?
Its hard too find a jubilee bracelet with 21 mm width
This Gentleman or the Citizen NB1050?
Can the case back come off?
For those who cannot afford Rolex Date just.
Pfft. A date just? That’s just for schmucks that can’t afford an F.P Journe 🤦♂️
Between you two, I think that accounts for several billion people 😄
Broke my mumbai special mechanical watch because I opened the case and started messing with the innards. ☹
Nice one! 👍😊
Is it me or is that watch a copy of Casio Oceanus S100? ( mechanic instead of quartz but almost same dial, same case, same polish, same bracelet )
Crown at the right =12 o'clock straight up. Duh!
Not a bad looking watch, just doesn't stand out for me. Cheers 👍🏻👍🏻
Imagine this as 38mm.
This watch is, cheaper alternative for tag heuer Carrera Calibre 5. For this money, is prope choice.
1st. good stuff!
🥇
No taper on bracelet and clasp are big let downs
21-19 is a taper
If ....This is square ....It would be nice.

Thanks for the tip. I am gonna keep doing insane amount of vids to show them quick and very little depth. Sorry that doesn’t work for you.
