    Acquiring a Captain Sisay for my Sisay, Weatherlight Captain deck was probably the single best addition to the deck I've ever made.

    • @CommanderReplay
      @CommanderReplay  5 лет назад +3

      Yeah I feel ya on that. I didn't really think about it at first. It wasn't till later on when I added the original to my Weatherlight, that things started getting crazy. For me tutoring for Urza's ruinous is a big deal because I don't run a lot of removal in mine.

    • @Dalenthas
      @Dalenthas 5 лет назад

      @@CommanderReplay yeah, URB is definitely one of the strongest things that Captain can get that the commander can't. It's also a form of card advantage, and a great way to use your mana that doesn't come in nice WUBRG packages.

      Had a buddy give me a copy of Captain Sisay early this year because I had a five color legendary tribal deck. Was working on that deck even before new Sisay and new Sisay now commands it.

      If I had some money I'd throw it together just for the right matchup. I normally wouldn't play stax but against certain players/decks I'd be willing to try it.
      It seems pretty good and I already have a bunch of the pieces (at least one copy I'm willing to proxy into multiple decks...)

    Questing Beast isn't "The Big Bad Wolf", it's the Questing Beast. A monster from Arthurian Legend that King Pellinore is constantly looking for.

    Loved this video. I'm also Playing Sisay Stax but at a higher tier and more responses. My local meta consists of a ton of cEDH shenanigans and I use sisay as the "Combo Killer". Been very successful so far. Would love to see a profile of this deck

    • @CommanderReplay
      @CommanderReplay  5 лет назад

      Nice. I could definitely use a deck like this in my local, some nasty stuff going on there. I would say this deck isn't too far away from Cedh. Its fast, consistent and efficient. To your point I think a few more points of removal would probably do the trick. All in all, sweet deck. As a pet project at some point, I might try to make a near cedh version of Sisay Weatherlight Captain using Godo Helm or Aurelia Brago as the win cons, we'll see how it goes.

    I raise you one Damping Matrix.

    • @EriKyoto
      @EriKyoto 5 лет назад

      Damping matrix does shut off Sisay, but there is a decent amount of removal in the deck for permanents. Return to dust, generous gift, beast within, krosan grip, aura shards, song of the dryads, council's judgment, urza's ruinous blast, and Freyalise, llanowar's fury. To sum it up, we can handle one hate card easily.

    • @SuperBulian
      @SuperBulian 5 лет назад

      EriKyoto remove my stax piece and then I play a more threatening Enchantment/Artifact to win. Decks don’t have infinity permanent removal.

    • @solidmasterdante
      @solidmasterdante 5 лет назад

      @@SuperBulian lol, what is the statement you're trying to make here? Sometimes decks have multiple ways to do things and they can't all be answered? You can say that about literally anything. This is a "Dies to Doom Blade" argument.

    • @SuperBulian
      @SuperBulian 5 лет назад

      Galvonetta what I’m really saying is you will remove my staxs piece just to function, then I’ll follow up with a permanent that wins the game when you had to use removal just to function. Gg.
