Ive recently been eyeing up glissa to build and then i see this deck tech. Seems like the universe is trying to tell me something. Thank you guys for all the great suggestions. Much appreciated. Peace out Tribescouts
This deck is all about 3 elements, Draw engines, Creature Destroying engines (not single use trigger sorceries/instants, *unless those are blatant 2 for ones or better, and third some level of Self Mill Engines beyond just artifacts that help themselves to the GY. Once you find that balance you can utilize the strengths of this commander to it's fullest potential and add subthemes like reanimator, you are destroying creatures left and right why not capitalize on that, remember we are limited to BG and artifacts, sometimes Red/White/Blue creatures can be fantastic. Also don't sleep on cards like Smallpox, causes everyone to sac a creature, discard a card, and sac a land, turning it into a dumping ground for Morbid triggers to capitalize on but also reanimator targets while punishing all your opponents. Cards like Eldest Reborn and Yawgmoth's Vile Offering are potent cheap spells for this deck. Call to the Grave gives you triggers all day. Ripple of Undeath is a card draw engine and self mill. Nowhere to run pings a creature -3/-3 and gives you the ability to target hexproof and avoid ward costs. Also any list without Eldrazi Monument is a meme, you are constantly killing creatures so naturally your deck is going wider and Eldrazi monuments gives the squad some evasion and indestructable, making pretty much most of your boardwipes one sided. Don't fall for the full artifact trap, you get better synergy with some diversity of card types. Also this deck does scale well, you may be drawing too many cards, don't sleep on a few play extra lands per turn type effects, it'll help the decks overall ceiling.
The homie Kuro. Love his vibe when playing on stream. Also love this deck. Seeing golgari artifacts feels weird but also amazing too. That Necron deck from war hammer is so perfect for this whole theme.
@18:45 Varrac Battlehorn synergizes with Glissa herself. It doesn't do it well, but, whatever. Trample+Deathtouch+Familiar Ground means that blocking Glissa only prevents 1 point of damage. IMO the Familiar Ground effect is suboptimal here. Even if they block your 22/3 Cranial Plating Glissa with 22 tokens, that's still a net win. With 22 artifacts in hand you should be able to win anyway. Don't get me wrong. Longbow is still superior as an option when comparing them without Plating, but having Plating+Trample gives you an alternate wincon at the cost of 2 cards that should still be useful attached to other creatures. Battlehorn is probably the worst choose for the effect though, at the same CMC/Equip cost Shadowspear can remove hexproof and indestructible as an activated ability or Horned Helm allows instant speed equipping, so you can move both Helm and Plating in response to blockers. Power Fist costs more to equip but gives Slith ability. Haunted Cloak costs 1 more to put into play but gives haste, vigilance, and trample. IMO even Leyline Ax would be a better option, cause 4 CMC+3 Equip to get +1/+1 table and double strike on a deathtouch commander isn't the worst thing I've ever spent mana on.
Never played commander before, and I've barely played magic. Looked through the card list for commanders to find decks that were a little bit different since thats how I like to play card games. Took one look at Glissa, and went yup thats the one.
Beezy told me the Moxfield ad was at 31:43 Edit: Good guy Beezy, telling me the ad was between the actual Moxfield ad and the super secret second Moxfield ad so I wouldn't be a cheater.
When it comes to Duplicant versus Noxious Gearhulk, I will almost always choose Duplicant because its easier to cast (6 generic vs 4BB) and it exiles, instead of destroying because you can always recur the creature from the graveyard where its almost impossible to get things from back from exile. When it comes to destroying permanents, then I want Spine of Ish Sah because it recures itself. As an artifact, it also can't be beaten by a traditional creature removal spells that Noxious is susceptible to.
I prefer noxious in Glissa as her ability requires an opponents’ creature to die to trigger. Has ran much smoother the last several years than duplicant
duplicant isn't great for this deck, it doesn't cause a Glissa trigger, sure it exiles something, but it's not actually copying what it removes either, just a generic power toughness creature type. I'd take Gearhulk all day as it is also a artifact creatures, forces a trigger and is a source of lifegain which black often uses as a resource.
If you are playing Viridian Longbow might as well play Sorcerer's Wand as well instead of Infernal Grasp (its an artifact, you can get it out of the graveyard, and you can hold the table hostage with it).
@@NitpickingNerds Would an artifact-based wipe like Oblivion Stone be better, due to being recurrable with Glissa? Offhand, I can't think of any one-sided artifact board wipes.
I had viridian longbow in the deck and I never really liked it. Sure it is good removal when glissa is on the bord but EVERYONE knows that. Glissa is a value engine and prone to removal, but if you make her removal on a stick, she never survived a full turn rotation. Instaly all removal goes to her.
Phyrexian Zombie Elf? Imagine someone with Elesh Norn Saga part 3 trying to say “Glissa Dies too” then the Glissa player corrects them. “Actually she’s phyrexian”. Reading the cards does not explain the cards
I tried glissa and if you want a graveyard commander stick with meren of clan nel toth not only is she stronger her effect is easier fire off cause killing your own things is easier then your opponents cause if your killing your own things you have sac outlets an artifact graveyard deck sounds cool but it's to much trouble to do something that is the easiest thing to do which is kill shit
Hell yeah, love to see Glissa, such a great deck
You are the motivation for the changes I made! I only mentioned you 3 times lol
Is it just me or is beezy finally wearing a long sleeved shirt 😮
The only difference imo
Crazy. I've had Glissa for like 10 years and literally just decided to build a deck for her literally last week. Crazy, thank you.
What are the odds? 2 to 1? I would say so!
8:37 I mean...I can't say I really expected that. But I accept it
You can also use Drivnod to double your Glissa triggers.
Cool to see y’all at Magic Con! It seemed like y’all were flooded with games!
We were jamming all weekend!

Loving the hair cut beezy
He's looking a bit short
Beezy is trying something new
Beezy wears glasses now? You think you know people 😂
Get well soon bezzy.😢
Is that the boy Kuro? Goated video already.

Glad that you guys have a great friend in Kuro to sub in, he's great
I just finished building my own Glissa deck today! So pumped to see it in action!

Best Beezy has ever looked. Plus, the best advice from him.
Beezy straight up grew a beard! Looking good! 😩👌
Longer video today. Let's make the next Moxfield guess 28:47.
Can't wait to learn more about Glissa.
Dang. Ya'll did it about a minute sooner. My guesses are getting super close though. Love it. Everyone should use Moxfield.

Wow! Beezy got super tan down at Commandfest Orlando!

I'm very fond of this series.
Why is every printed Glissa insane 🤣
Cause she cool
HONESTLY!
I don't have 20 field of the dead, i have 2, but i have like 165 nesting grounds. 😆
Phyrexian Scriptures isn't just a slow board wipe - it's a one sided wipe for this deck, due to all the artifact creatures.
It can be that is fair but it is still on delay and can be answered giving it a lot of downside
@@NitpickingNerds Would an artifact-based wipe like Oblivion Stone be better, due to being recurrable with Glissa? Offhand, I can't think of any one-sided artifact board wipes.
Ive never been sad to see golgari charm when i draw it in my Sidisi deck. All the modes are super useful
Hermit Druid looks really good in this deck.
dude stole the thumb thing, bros not long for this world once Beezy finds out
I will end him
She was my commander before i knew what commander was
I love my glissa deck I can't wait to see what y'all are adding to her arsenal
Cherries is the only one that can see out of the 2d plane XD
Love Beezy’s new glasses!

Beezy’s new haircut looks good
What I don’t understand is removing Expedition Map for Wayfarers Bauble but adding Field of the Dead later on…smh
Out of curiosity, for a commander tune up, does a person need to be subscribed for three months or is it for one month? How does that work out?
Beezy is looking good today.
Excuse me Sarinth is amazing in Lonis too thx 😤
Me, watching in mexican while embracing my $80 budget Glissa deck: :c
No Amber! Lets go Beezy!!
Amber was OUTA there as soon as we started filming lol
Beezy looks different 🤔

The deck list only shows 88 cards
Meria takes offense to being called mini Urza.
The best sleeves is clearly katana sleeves. Unmatched quality and the corners don’t poke your fucking fingers
600 is power level 7? I guess my decks are 3-4.
The deck itself didnt get to 600, it was just the budget limit. We were quite a bit away from it too!
What happened to the other guy?
+1s shuffle scuffle when?
Sounds like a good one!
Bro beezy looks different... maybe is the light
Did beezy get fired?!!
Just sick lol
I love glissa.
Me too!
you said urza's bauble butt
