I get a kick out of all of these armchair car experts in the comments on all of these videos. My brother in law used to be one of those guys, except he was an actual mechanic who did the work every day. Anyway, he always used to basically tell me Toyota was the ONLY brand worth buying. Told me how reliable they were and so on. Then, all of the sudden, Toyota had 2 or 3 of the BIGGEST RECALLS IN HISTORY within just a few years. He didn't say much about Toyota for a little while lol.
The thing is, if you take care of your vehicle and you're aware of things that can go wrong, you're most likely going to be fine. I think the thing that gets ignored with Jeeps is that they're an offroad vehicle, and just about EVERY Wrangler owner is GOING to take them offroad at some point. I don't think this treatment gets factored in by some of these reliability ratings. The simple fact that people beat the shit out of these vehicles.

Yeah.. and not to mention all the mods they make. The non-drivetrain one's are not that big of a deal (put all the decals and ducks on the jeep you want).. but when folks throw on huge tires, lift the jeep, put huge bumpers and winches on them adding to the weight, and then get surprised when things break. Gotta pay to play they say !!

That's easy. Don't. Just go out and buy virtually any other 4x4...........

Yeah, I know. Want one that's a convertible though.. and Bronco's are too expensive.

@@The.Garage.Studio Then go out and by and 1970's Range Rover and cut the roof off with and angle grinder. It is going to be better off road and still, slightly, more reliable.

The wrangler has consistently been one of the most unreliable cars in the market for decades. Just don't buy one! It is and always has been crap! Not even a new one 💩
