    Nice rig. Im working on my own and was curious about how you got the rear sprockets notches to line up with the tank track.

      Thanks! Yes that was kind of a fussy job. For me worked the following:
      1. Create a cylinder (without notches).
      2. Align the the tracks perfectly on match with the cylinder's outer surface.
      3. Add notches to the cylinder that are matching the spacing between the tracks.
      Hope that helps!

      @@MarcelAdamCG Thank you that really helps, I'm new to this sort of thing in blender so this is uncharted territory. Now are your tracks one solid object or does each individual piece have its own origin?

    • @MarcelAdamCG
      @MarcelAdamCG  3 года назад

      @@areforreal5212 They have to be all individual Objects. If not already done, i recommend you watching the tank tutorial by McGavish. He walks you through the process quite nicely.

    Did you give the tank speed with an animation or dynamic controller? I search for a solution to give velocity/speed to a motor with keyboard control, not with animation. How can I do that?

    • @MarcelAdamCG
      @MarcelAdamCG  3 года назад

      I did it with animation. Maybe it would be possible to code something, but i don't know. If you want dynamic control you might consider bringing your rig into a real time engine like Unreal, Unity or Godot.

    Muito bom, eu sou do brasil, e gostaria de aprender mais sobre esse assunto a parte, que é a suspensão e as esteiras no Blender.

      Leandro foi você que criou projeto .blend "Esteira Caterpillar" e publicou um vídeo demonstrativo do projeto com o link para download? Por favor diz que sim, eu procuro a muito tempo reencontrar o canal desse cara e não acho mais, acho que por algum motivo ele privou os vídeos. Eu tô te perguntando isso porque sou inscrito no seu canal (eu tinha me inscrito no canal dele) e você comentou em um vídeo que contém semelhanças no projeto. Acho que é você mesmo quem procuro kkk

    Hi, I want to make a personal simulation game similar to Tank-Force, Armored-Warfare, War-Thunder with realistic looking tanks & environment. Which FREE S/w shall i learn?

    • @MarcelAdamCG
      @MarcelAdamCG  3 года назад

      I recommend blender for modeling. And Unreal, Godot or Unity are all capable game engines, which are free for small studios

      @@MarcelAdamCG So we can export & use a Blender model tank in Unity, Unreal, etc? Which S/w to create terrain, buildings, etc?

    • @MarcelAdamCG
      @MarcelAdamCG  3 года назад

      @@rajat9619 Yes. Unreal already comes with a pretty good terrain tool. So you would build i directly inside of unreal. Buildings would also be modelled in blender.

      Oh and just a heads-up: game dev has a pretty high learning curve. So i highly recommend doing many tutorials and smaller projects. I find it great, that you want to make a game like war thunder. Just want to be clear that you need several month and beyond of training. So be patient! After a while it gets really awesome! ;)
