Fame sounds not nice in the slightest bit. I like to act the energy, human emotions are immensely powerful and I love the idea of creating a character a fantasias world. And I’d love to meet such immense amount of people!
OMG I had the exact same experience! I booked my very first audition within my first 7 months of being here! I too thought it would be easy and didn't book anything else for another 3 years! lmbo I just made a video about this on my page. So glad someone else understands this journey. That says a lot! I can't believe it. Thanks for sharing lol
Great advice, esp. for newbies to the acting world.I would emphasize start training in theater whereever they are right now.Take as many classes in school, get as much theater experience as possible. LA is a type of Mecca for entertainment, but it can also be a soul -crushing juggernaut for so many delusional young people who have no idea what this town is like. Again, great job Angie. :)
What I love about your videos is that it is so clear, not hard to watch and wonderful quality! unlike other acting classes on RUclips *cough* Wendy *cough*.... thank you for doing this!
Anyone that rags on Wendy's videos clearly does not need to be in this business. Info is way more important than you getting 1080p. Lord have mercy. **eye roll**
@@EverHeartK98 You are so misinformed it's not even funny. I am one of her students and she is none of the above. Might wanna check your facts before you go around with that incorrect information anymore. Either you are being told the wrong information or you are just jealous because you can't afford her program. Either way, you are 100% wrong.
The part about not having to be an extrovert was very inspiring for me, because I've felt like acting seems like smth outgoing extroverts would have way easier for. Thank you, this really helped as I'm an introvert myself.
Very good advices! Thank you for this. I used to act in my country Peru. I would like to say that I am actress, but I don’t feel to say myself that yet... even if I act many times in tv shows there, and in a humble way I can say I was good, I dis a good job., but I left it because I became a mom, and I moved here to USA and I am 100% housewife and mom specially. I’m so in love of my kids. But at some point, I miss so much to act . I see the tv shows here and movies and something inside me says you need to go for it! I want to come back to this wonderful and career that I left behind. I would like to know how to start sending my resume , I have not idea where to send it, what are the castings places, directors... anyways, It will take time to find them , but I will do it, this is what I want and one of my passions. Thank for your honesty and the encouragement. Many blessings!
First time seeing one of your videos and I love this! Can't wait to view more, I'm trying to soak up all the knowledge and training that's available to me. I hope you cover the subject of online classes, I'm a little sceptical about them. Thanks for sharing!
Hey Ashly! I probably won't be doing one, since I personally haven't taken any myself. But the studios I've listed below are reputable and I'd be their classes are great! Maybe you could call around and see if you can sit in on one for free to see if you like it.
I can’t wait to show my daughter all of your videos. Thanks for sharing all of this info. I was kind of feeling frustrated about this on her behalf. She’s probably not even fazed about this. She’s only 12 and we’re trying to figure this out.
I collect 'no'-s my entire life in every area, I don't think it counts though, I'm 31, not even close to my goals, feeling like I turned all the stones (within my power) by now
Magda Ty hey, don’t say that!! Everyone has a passion and if you really want something, you should go for it. A thousand no’s may add up to the best “yes” of your life! Don’t doubt yourself. You. Rock.
Hey Angie, just discovered your videos and thank you, they are so helpful. A little about me and why I’m here- I did some minor stunt work for a few tv shows and movies years ago, but was frustrated that I was never given a chance to act, auditions seemed difficult to come by as my resume mostly read stunt work. I’m 34 now and realizing that I really, really want to act, and am becoming intensely focused on picking up where I left off. My question is, do you think being a large, athletic dude (6’4, 230 lbs) with a stunt/martial arts/ stage fighting background is enough to entice casting directors and agents and maybe get a chance at certain kinds of roles? Thanks so much!
Hi Ashanti! I started at Stella Adler Academy in LA and then took ongoing acting classes at a few different places. I have a video on Acting Classes; some of mine are in there. :)
There will probably have to be times where you choose one over the other... but keep in mind, the traveling team isn't a long term thing. An acting career can be.
I get it and understand what you say that it takes forever and it’s a marathon but I see influencers that literally do nothing but be pretty and get these opportunities that others work for so why can’t someone else cheat through the system.
It is pretty nerve wracking! But you have to just embrace it and find ways to deal with it. If you fight it, it only gets worse. Remember that they brought you in for a reason. They WANT you there! They want you to do well.
Hi Kimberly! I'm from Vegas too!! I'm just barley starting to take my acting career into action. I've wanted to be an actress since I was your age but, always put it aside (I wish I started early). I suggest you taking theater in school (middle/high school). Also Google acting classes in your area and see a place that fits for you! I wish you the best of luck!! Don't give up on your dreams :)
I have a Question , the one acting class is very expensive and the other is way less expensive. Normally I would say the very expensive ones are better, but is that true? Cause a lot of times the more expensive one doesn’t have a lot of classes.
Hi, I wouldn't be as concerned with the price of the class... I think it's more important to see what kinds of other actors are taking class there - are they working, etc. Also, very important to connect with and understand the teacher.
Most of the kids in my high school drama club were introverts as well. I am also an introvert.

Thanks for this :)
You are so awesome and beautiful and inspiring! Thanks 😊, Simona xx

I absolutely do think you would be a castable type! Embrace what you have to offer them.
Did you go to school for acting if so where do you recommend going?
Hi Ashanti! I started at Stella Adler Academy in LA and then took ongoing acting classes at a few different places. I have a video on Acting Classes; some of mine are in there. :)
Will I still be able to continue playing my travel team sport
There will probably have to be times where you choose one over the other... but keep in mind, the traveling team isn't a long term thing. An acting career can be.
Can I ask which is better for actors backstage? Or FameStreet?
I've never heard of Fame Street. Backstage is legit, but you should really look at Actors Access.
I get it and understand what you say that it takes forever and it’s a marathon but I see influencers that literally do nothing but be pretty and get these opportunities that others work for so why can’t someone else cheat through the system.
You will never be as nervous as you are in an audition room

Where can i hear the podcast? And what is it called again? btw GREAT video!!!
It's called Making It with Riki Lindhome! Not sure where it's still available, maybe on the Podcast app or Spotify.
I was in a few famous shows and movies and I'd to make so many alt accounts. I NEEE MY PRIVACY.
For me i Just want to act, being "famous" isn't something intresting tp me i only want to act, that's it
I don't notice the topic, I just watch this to notice her beauty :))
the thing is i want to be an actor buuuuuut im like the most shy person so idk
same I can't talk lmao-

Believe it or not, I'm an introvert too. But as an actor you can kind of slip into someone else's skin and play!
I love uuuuu

I do lots of things, i also want to be a welder and build the big boaty boats. But I decided I like this too. So what.
