- Todays video will be about the iconic GG1. Anyone in the real or model train world knows of the GG1. Today we are pulling 2 R50B reefer's, a fantastic Lionel baggage car ( good friend RJ trains found for me ), and 11 scale passengers
All post production editing done by Sam's trains.

Enjoyed the video. That is a great train you put together behind the GG1. Awesome looking layout. Very nice indeed! Bill B.
Thank you. I have since changed a few buildings, Im upgrading some scenery and going to repaint the back wall blue rather than white and shopping for backdrop. I want to make it is good as I can. You always have something new to learn.
Omg 😲 👀👀💖💖what a beauty.
Thank you! I just got it last year. I've had the cars. Its a great engine and pulls crazy. I appreciate your compliment. Thank you for watching.
Beautiful
Thank You, the GG1 is one of the most iconic engines in history.
Excellent! 👏😌
Thank you for watching. It was alot of fun making this video. The GG1 is one of my favorites.
It's unfortunate more of them didn't survive...especially when by the time they were being scrapped people really knew better about preserving locomotives, unlike decades past. Thanks for running it for us...very impressive rendition in miniature! T4
I agree. The biggest sin of all is there are no NYC Hudson's. Couple Mohawks but no Hudson's. Thankful 16 of the GG1's are still with us.
@@BobsOGaugeTrains Yes...I especially wish the Dreyfuss Hudson was still around, and examples of the many Otto Kuhler Hudsons as well. So many great steamers lost! Have a great rest of the weekend, Bob! T4
there are 16 remaining, which is very, very good.
Great video Bob, what speaks of railroading better than the GG1. This is a beautiful locomotive, thanks for posting.
Thank you for watching as well. I agree both in the real train world and toy train world everyone knows the GG1.
Nice!
Thank you for checking my channel out. If you have any questions or something you would like to see reach out anytime. Thanks for watching!
Great running locomotive you have there bob. The Tuscan GG-1 has alwaysbeen my favorite
Thank you Michael. Tuscan is my favorite as well. But everyone has the five stripe I went with the solid strip and love it. Thanks for watching.
Love the history lesson!
Thank you for watching. I did have to do some research on the GG1 but I also learned some things so it was fun to do.
Nice video and Engine Bob, thanks for the history on it..👍
Thanks for watching. I try to look up a little about each locomotive and I usually end up learning something as well as having fun.
Nice gg1!
Thank you for watching. The GG1 went through several production delays I was glad when it finally arrived.
It's amazing what you know and how you do that
Its didn't come easy Bob. trial and error and alot of research.
Very Nice GG1. Jebb wants one if these. What Proto Sound is this one? Thanks, Matt
Hi Matt thanks for watching. The GG1 is a fantastic engine. This particular one is protosound 3. Either protosound 2 or 3 would be fine.
Bill which catalog was your MTH GG1 was it in 2013 or 2019 with PS3
Thanks
Hi Tom it was 2019 with PS3
