I have a stock '85 K20 truck with a replacement engine (350M) with once piece rear main. My original engine has a two piece main. Will my automatic transmission still bolt up correctly to the new block with one one-piece rear main?
Hope you get the small amount of metal shavings out before installing the now one . I am rebuilding my 1986 Corvette engine. I noticed that it didn’t have the “U” shape gasket between the block and the metal ring that holds the rubber ring gasket. Does it really need one of them before I install the metal housing?
@@lukasgarrison8505 thank you for your support. I've got a '69 nova; I'm at the beginning stages, collecting parts and gathering a lot of info. It needs a lot of work, but its my early retirement gift to myself. Its just sitting in a trailer waiting on me.
A 4" ABS cap fits PERFECTLY over the seal FYI.

Your setup is different, you have a u shaped paper gasket, a metal ring, and a one piece seal?
Waiting for more videos, keep them coming!
