    I've just discovered an amazingly perfect pair of socks. As I work toe upwards, there's a chain that needs to be worked mid way to create the upper part. Since I'm working with such a fine black colour, I really struggle with making this a foundation chain. So I'm using this as a way to turn the requested chain into a foundation chain that a) I can see better, and doesn't twist, and b) it adds a slight pop of colour - I love this! It's so simple, too! Thanks! 🩷

    Love this technique, definitely going to use it so much! It looks SO much easier than the "standard" i-cord method I've seen. Fab tutorial.

    Thank you so much for the video! This technique is really great! It is making me consider changing the handles that have been halfway sewn onto a beautiful crochet bag I made and using leftover yarn from the bag instead 😍 I immediately thought of those annoying pleather handles and now I want this instead. I took them off a bag I really liked but they're what's been keeping me from finishing the project for MONTHS since needles can't really go through at all😕

      I know, you can’t go back to pleather once you make these. You’re welcome, thanks for watching 😊

    Do these cords make long lasting straps for crossbody bags? I'm looking for some way to make sturdy straps that don't stretch too much over time, because I'm not confident that the single crochet/slip stitch method will last too long for the bags I've made for my sisters and niece.

    • @KnitcroAddict
      @KnitcroAddict  2 года назад +1

      It really depends on the yarn. I think these made with cotton or other natural fibers will last a long time, and won’t stretch too much. Synthetics have a tendency to stretch
