Thank you for the comparison. Exactly what I was looking for. Short video with all the necessary information. 😊
Agreed! Appreciate this review.
Glad it was helpful!
I second that
Great video and demonstration. One idea for any future sound comparisons: AFTER explaining and demonstrating them one by one like you did, maybe then play them in a row so we can hear them back to back for a more direct comparison (without an explanation between the click tests). Thanks for the video!
Great suggestion! I felt like the video was getting kind of long and I actually made a separate video that had no talking and just listening to the sounds: ruclips.net/video/oLYvlai0iK4/видео.html
Thanks for the video! Very helpful. Linear might be the best option for me. I want a longer keystroke travel but not necessarily the resistance. Demonstration in your video of red switches reminds me of Apple Mac full-size keyboard from the early 2000s.
Yup I think you would like the reds
2:13 Blue
2:25 Brown
2:36 Red
Thanks for this video! Got the red ones, as this is the first time going to a mechanical (meaning, after the good old days where all was mechanical) and I feel that the noise will annoy me on the other two types. Will try to post here once I have it.
Good choice. Curious to hear your thoughts and if you agree with my findings!
Super informative, cheers. Think I’ll go for the brown switches as I want some feedback. The blues seem too ‘clacky’ for my taste.
Good plan. Brown switches are my fave
the strangest thing is that i liked the tactile mx mechanical when i first used it and i did very critical work while typing on it, but my fingers got tired, and i am now hankering for linear and wondering if I should get another mx mechanical, maybe the mini, and linear switch. I know, first world problems
Thanks for the video. Being french, I use AZERTY keyboards that are available only in blue from Logitech in any version (PC or Mac).... I would have liked red keys...
That’s too bad. They are weird about which models come with different switches.
Thanks for the vid. FYI you have the same affiliate link for the full size and mini keyboard.
You are a life saver!! I’ve got some work to do to find all the videos I made with the wrong links 😬
Great video. My keyboard just died. Now I'm in the hunt for a new keyboard. Mostly productivity, must be able to connect to two devices. Got a Mx Master 2S at work. So I plan to get a Mx Master 3s, and another mx master keyboard. Hard to decide.
My favorite is the MX Keys Mini
I've tried all 3 and the blues feel the best by far to me.
They're fast for sure
This is annoying. Trying to order a keyboard online and having these 3 options. I need to play with it before I can buy.
Yeah I figured I would like browns or red the best and brown ended up being my favorite
so I ordered 2 and am about to return 1.
Nice vid, I own the mx master keyboard with the scissor switch and wanted to know what mechanical switches would be closest to the one I own
If you do make more videos like this in the future can you ass a desk mat while testing the keyboard? Thank you.
Interesting idea. Just to get a more isolated sound?
I really don't like the brown switch at all. Tried it out in Best Buy. There is no satisfaction in the typing as there is no resistance as it is quiet. Feels empty. But that blue switch is so satisfying. That clicky sound and the resistance feels like I am accomplishing something and I want to do more. Never tried out the red as that was not available at the stores I tried this keyboard.
Are you sure it was brown? They do still have resistance in the middle.
@@adamtalkstech Yeah with that MX Mechanical keyboard at Best Buy I was trying out some of the keys were missing showing the brown switch beneath. Just too smooth. I needed that clicky resistant noise from the blue switch. This was at B&H Photo at NYC where they had the blue switch on display.
All I can say is oh my goodness. Never knew picking out a keyboard is getting this complicated. LOL. In the end I got the MX Mini.
The brown's the best one.
Sounds perfect to me 😅
Blues are the worst
nice informative video, but i cant but help that alot of the sound test has an echo from your table, which make all the keystrokes louder than they should.
I see what you're saying, I kind of debated the best way to film it and record the audio and I tried a few different setups and felt like this version of it best represented the real world use and sound. Putting it on a kitchen counter or a couch would yield different results for sure.
Thanks for this mate. Really helpful as I presently use the MX Keys and looking to downsize to a mechanical without the number pad this time around.
Wonder what magic Logitech has when making PC peripherals
Be sure to check my comparison review on the Mx keys mini to mechanical mini when you’re making your decision too!
good video exactly what i wanted to know in a short time
Thanks for checking it out. Which ones are you going with?
oops 2 months late but i went with the middle option @@adamtalkstech
Well now I know why I could never find the click version for Mac lol...I should've paid more attention
Yeah it’s confusing.
After watching your review, I got the blue one.
Good choice!!!
Thanks for your great thorough review .. I am coming from mx s keyboard background, so what do you recommend for me ? Which one is closer to the mx s keyboard experience ?? Also , do you know by any chance if the keycaps are customisable ? Thank you 🙏
Keycaps are not customizable. I think you would probably like the reds or browns if you want a little less resistance. The reds have the least resistance and are quieter.
Thank you for your response ! I’ve checked online on many sites and vids , seems that most of caps are swappable with low profile standard caps with exception of spacebar and few other buttons ! On the red vs brown buttons I’m honestly lost 😅 I don’t wanna bother everyone around me specially that I type allot .. I have two keyboards now mx s that I’m satisfied but looking for more and the apple Magic Keyboard which came with my macmini and hate big times … do you think going with the tactile is gonna be a better choice since I read the linear is very mushy ?? Thank you once again 🙏
I much preferred the Tactiles to the others! the blues are very loud. @@thair
Niicce, thanks for the review, and keep up the good work!
Thanks, will do!
Great comparision. Nice review!
Thanks for checking it out!
which one is least prone to typos? None of them, I'd guess. The regular MX. Looking back, I wish I got that. But you know what they say about more money than brains. I thought, hey this one costs more and has slick marketing. Must be better, somehow. Twice the cost for an inferior keyboard. I don't do gaming, never really made that connection that they're targeted at gamers or whatever, the marketing didn't seem that way. I'm a bozo. The only reason I got it is because I went with the full size for my new Mac then realized I wanted a smaller keyboard.
Man, thanks so much for this video. Really good! Just bought the tactile brown one :)
Good choice!! Hope you enjoy.
I don’t see options for different keys on Amazon, how is this identified?
May be your region. The blue and brown switches aren’t available with ISO (from what I can see). I want the brown, and have to get an ANSI layout from the Logitech website (in the UK).
do tactile switches need more finger pressure for typing than linear red? or is there no diffrence?
Maybe slightly but not really
I’ve been in office environments where someone with a mechanical keyboard, specially the gaming type can be extremely annoying. Do you think the brown switch is still too loud for an office? As someone said, this tests often bump the volume to make a point but it can be misleading for true sound experience.
Yes volume is boosted a little but my wife can hear me type across the house with brown switches
excellent review. what mouse do you use with the MX Mechanical Mini?
I really like the MX Master 3S
Thanks man this was an awesome video!
Glad you liked it!
Thank you for this video! Super helpful.
Glad to help! Thanks for watching
Super stuff. Exactly the info required.
Glad it was helpful!
brown sounds louder than blue in the video
Strange. Maybe I leveled them out incorrectly. Blue is louder irl
Hi,
Where can I find the scissor key switches keyboard. I really want it. Thanks.
That one is also linked in description. Mx keys mini or keys s if you want number pad
Thanks for this video mate!
Thanks for checking it out! What keyboards should I get next?
@@adamtalkstech bo idea bro, not in the keyboard game 😂
Ha believe me it's a wild world. I look at all kinds of tech though so if you ever have any ideas let me know!! @@chinesetarzan
I have mx 3s and its dead silent please help me choose which switch is the quietiest?
I want to match the board to my 3s mouse silent. I love flat sound to my 3s and am skeptics which is better red or brown? I want flat sound.
Red is quietest
@@adamtalkstech does the sound compliments with 3s with the red?
Thank you very much!!
Thanks for watching!
I got the brown, and it is so mushy; returning it tmr..., also the build quality feels cheap, the board feels hollow. I really have better typing experience using the classic mx keyboard. Not sure if I wanna give blue switches a try, but yeah, this keyboard is disappointing for me. T_T
Ah sorry you didn't like it. Hope you like your next one better!
@@adamtalkstech I bought a keychron K10 instead, no complain other than the annoying rattling stabilizer.... gotta mod it when i have time
I just got my brown tactile mini and I have to say, the keys feel really heavy to type on compared to my GMMK 60% with brown keys. I feel like I either want more click or lighter action.. the brown seem to be the worst of both words in this keyboard ... I wish I was one of those people that just returns things with no guilt, I want to try and red and the blue now.
Hmm... I'm not sure why they feel heavy. You might like the Reds but I felt like the reds are too easy to press.
I have to say, I'm getting used to them, but I still prefer my GMMK w/ brown gaterons. It' s funny how once you go mechanical, you realize how fussy you can be. I used to just use whatever keyboard I happened to have.@@adamtalkstech
Good video, thanks for comparison
Thanks for watching. Welcome to the channel
I love blue
What Logitech scissor keyboard do you show in the video?
Mx keys mini!
@@adamtalkstech legend thank you, your video put me off mechanical keyboards haha. Nothing on your part, just not my cup of tea!
I understand. I use the Mx keys mini as my daily driver
which is best for long typing sessions
I’d go brown or red.

I'm actually hard pressed to hear the difference
