time to ramble uhh well its very wintery here and you know me im like super influenced by the climate LOL so it was time to make something dark and angsty..... i had this dramatic idea for the comp at like 3am.. i wanted kaeya to be very framed by the composition, almost feel like he's trapped or something is coming over him... at the same time i wanted this like.. diluc POV being indulged in flames in order to represent his fury without showing his face,, almost like diluc (quite literally his hair rlly) merges with the fire.... while showing kaeya in this very scared ''begging for his life'' pose but also being like wait holdup a vISION!! DFJLKDFSJSLFKD as a sign to keep fighting (cuz like idk hes being recognized by the archons ig),, also another reference to my old drawing ''an eye for an eye' 'bc i love the metaphor between the wounded eye and the vision..... MMM metaphors yum yumyu m anyways lots of layers
also i wanted to name this piece "a punishment for a lifetime of lies" as a reference to a literal text in kaeya's vision story but then i thought like.. what is the punishment tho.. and who's being punished?? quite literally you can say kaeya is getting slayed by diluc but also you can say that diluc lost his brother.. or like he did something unimaginable,, he also sort of isolated himself and got this batman personality or something .. idk.. i started to wonder about this bc in my animatics there's always this debate about who did the more awful thing.. like team kaeya vs team diluc.. anyways this is why i love ragbros lore like theres so much space to talk about these two and generally family conflicts are so complex............... ok bye
