Thanks! Great to see Tim :) Today I was once again surprised and impressed by the T4, which picked up a new install of Kontakt in Logic X, and the Maverick Piano controls were very well configured with sliders and knobs ALREADY! I had to do nothing besides the initial T4 Logic install, which is very simple.
I just got a Numa C2x, with Fatar TP/9 piano, which I like alot, but for many things, like strings etc, the new Nektar action is far superior. Longer travel, softer springs, super cushy aftertouch. Utterly unique action. The pads are fantastic too. For pianos I prefer the TP/9 Piano, which is very snappy. Both actions get dull as you reach the top edge, unlike a real Hammond, or the good hammer actions. Nearly all synth actions seem to suffer this :(
Hi, Thanks for your videos. I tried to follow your step to import plugins into the Nektarine. but after importing them , plugins don't appear in the list or i don't see them anywhere. Why it happens? Thanks
It's my understanding that they've upgraded the T series but not the P. Does the P series have the 127 step, high range dynamics, velocity, etc as the T keys do?
Would be great if someone did a test with the actual values for aftertouch as in a real demonstartion with values from 1-127. I can tell everyone as a Kontrol S88MK2 owner aftertouch starts no lower than 5, which sucks. Best aftertouch I've come across so far is K Board Pro 4 and Linnstrument. K Board very very slightly better, but both are great. Unfortunately, neither is a regular piano keyboard.
Having a Novation Impulse 49 I can testify that the aftertouch implementation on it is either nothing or a hammer on the head which is almost useless for any expressive play. This looks very promising.
can you ask how he did this aftertouch, i think i figure it out, setting the midicc to 1 but then i get a really nice slow soft but in a few seconds it jumps to loud on bbc orchestra plugin, what did he use for his strings ?
Hi, I just got a new Nektar LX61 that has the lights and Power on, but I can't get any sound in Reaper. I'm trying the midi options, but I'm lost. Got a new PC with Windows 10, but Nektar is dead. It's creating some problem somewhere. Any hints or ideas of what I can check i Reaper please? Got to bring it to life somehow.. Should I use Panorama or download some different driver? Thank you for you help. Michael.
Michael Hadac Check all Audio MIDI connections in your utilities folder. Also make sure MIDI is turned on for the port of the controller,I.e.do this for preferences in all DAWs and software plugins.Good luck.I have the LX+88 and its a cool controller that kicks butt on Arturia Analog Lab3/4.
Michael Hadac Coolbeans-I’ve fort a similar problem with my Korg Taktile Triton. This controller part is non- existent .The sounds of the Triton are great but can’t controll software just hardware synths. They Tell you this $350 later!Im not to bother but Korg dropped the ball.Korg of all people.Oh well, I digress.I got Bitwig demo with my Nektar and it seems straight forward. Thanks and keep doing it!!!
Hi to everyone, can someone help me about T4? I can't control channel strip in Cubase, EQ, compressor ect. But with P series I can easily open Chanel strip and shoose fx all from MIDI controller without touching mouse
Don't bother if you use Ableton, there's no integration at all and won't be able to use the nektarine with it's VST mapping capabilities. Literally just a plain old generic midi with very limited functions.
I modded python scripts giving all the main controls (macros, all 12 sends, full transport, clip launch, rec, overdub & many many more) here for live10 & live11 for the T4/6 also a howto: google audiosex pro.. search.. selected track control for ableton live
Pff..that product guy pretending 1-127 dynamic, aftertouch, a simple chord memory and of all things, a hold function are exiting new features in almost 2019. Dude, that stuff has been around since like the mid eighties. Don't know why Tim plays along acting so excited about what are basic functions since ages. Is this channel sponsored by Nektar ?
I do believe the point was that the full velocity curve is accessible. I notice this in the Korg Kronos hammer action and some other boards - they just do better capturing nuances. I returned an Akai MAX because it seemed like it only had three velocity levels no matter how I edited the curves. (even though the action of the keys felt great) I always tend to believe most cheap controllers lack sensitivity but I could be wrong (M-Audio, etc.). If this has the sensitivity he demos, that's great. The funny thing is - I actually had a Panorama (the white and red one), looked beautiful, but the keys just sucked, for me. I didn't really futz with it because not only was it not responsive, the keys just didn't feel very good. I replaced it with the Novation (the last version before the one they just came out with), and that has a great key feel, on part with any top synth's keyboard. Also, the screen was so old-fashioned looking, it was useless to me. I do tend to get sucked into "hands on control" when the truth is, the trackball is so much faster most of the time. (I kind of want the new NI Mk2 Kontrol, whose screens DO seem usable, albeit only for NKS plugins.) So I do agree with you actually - they're kind of making a big deal out of what looks like it should have come out at least a decade ago. This looks cheaper than the old Panorama, and actually looks too much like M-Audio to me.
Plus the price - always hard to justify. Unless it truly is great action, for $300, would rather go for either the Komplete for a bit more, or a used nice synth. But if it really delivers in the action of the keys, hey, could be perfect for a lot of people!

Can you provide more presentation on the chord learn feature? I bought the Nektar T6 version.
It's my understanding that they've upgraded the T series but not the P. Does the P series have the 127 step, high range dynamics, velocity, etc as the T keys do?
No
The chord function its just 135 or u can do some 7 or 9 11etc ?.

Hey, Nick! Will you be reviewing new Waldorf Quantum synth?
Improved Bitwig integration from the original Panorama?

Hey guys im stuck between buying the panorama T6 and LX 61+ which should i get im looking for control and feel
panorama T6
can you ask how he did this aftertouch, i think i figure it out, setting the midicc to 1 but then i get a really nice slow soft but in a few seconds it jumps to loud on bbc orchestra plugin, what did he use for his strings ?
thanks for no reply
is it still available on market
So, there’s longer throw in the aftertouch? How long is it compared to the usual minimal AT travel?
not a physically longer throw but a more responsive curve
All right, cheers!
Nice, can he program my new T6 ? please
Can somebody tell me what eisel mean.. (seen on control edit screen ..Back/Eisel)..? thx
I think a p4 or p6 or p1 would be a better buy for me due to the extra knobs this is not much cheaper

You need to select impact lx61+ from midi input.

@@diamondcole4132 - I use Bitwig. Like it better then Reaper I think. Reaper is too complicated when you want to import some sounds.. M.
