Why did we install the Heat Pump? - In this update, I explain 4 reasons why we installed the Heat Pump instead of staying with a gas boiler.
We installed a heat pump in April 24 by our energy provider, Octopus Energy.
We are on the Octopus Intelligent tariff which allows to charge at a cheaper rate between the hours of 2330 - 0530 in the morning and the heat pump heats how water at this period. We also charge our 2 electric cars between this period giving us cheaper bills.

Whilst everyone will have different priorities for changing, I think your four touch on the most common and best reasons for making a change. And it seems you have succeeded in each area. Not smelling diesel fumes shows just how nasty they actually are. London is already breathing better air because of the ULE Zone. Hopefully you can get MMI figures sorted so you can see exactly your SCOP figures. Look forward to your next video post.

The app is very odd. My Mum had a fault on her installation where the immersion would stay on. The app said she was using say 70 kWh a day. I couldn’t match that up to the Octopus app for the same day, it said less.
So app is over stating, that's helpful to know as it didn't make sense. Thank you for confirming. How is mum getting on?
2:46 Is the difference that the display is showing just central heating, but the app includes hot water too? If you turn the right knob it should show a total.
Not sure mate, l can promise you l did do total as l edited but it was for both heating and climate
