      How long since they performed together?

    • @gchance
      @gchance 7 лет назад +4

      Lou & Mick performed together a few years ago at the Songwriter's Hall of Fame... HOWEVER, this is the first time all these original members (Mick, Lou, Ian McDonald, & Al Greenwood) have collectively played together since 1980.

      Thanks for the info. Amazed to find out how rare it was. 1980? I was a Junior in HS!

    Lou sounded really great! So glad they finally made it, if only for three songs. Hopefully next time he'll do more! Thanks for sharing this.

      I kind of know the back story. Lou had health and getting along with Mick issues. But how rare was this? How long since they played together? What about the other two members who came out for the encore?

    • @111littlesisterful
      @111littlesisterful 7 лет назад +1

      I think Ian and Al were a bit neglected. I wish the band had played songs from the first 3 albums with them instead of I Want to Know What Love Is. Both had already left (I think they were fired in 1980) by then so it was not the best choice. Starrider or Cold as Ice would have been great, or Feels like the First Time. I could also say that 3 songs are not enough but I wanted to say something positive. And BTW Lou was not the only one who had getting along with Mick issues. But that was yesterday.

      Thanks for the info. Can you tell me when the last time Lou played with the band? I'm a rock fan, and love this bands music, but not hard core enough to know all this. Great show last night. I am still high on the music 12 hours later!

      One other thing, how did you find the video? It has to be posted somewhere to get almost 5,000 views over night. I don't care, just curious.

      The only thing I'm sure of is the four of them hadn't played all together since 1979 or 1980. Lou definitively left the band in 2003. So yes it was a unique concert to attend! It must have been awesome, you're really lucky!

      Man, I bought the upper seats for $17.50 as I am just a casual fan. Really mad at myself for not spending more to get up front. Great night.

    This is AWESOME....The only thing wrong is Foreigner's Kelly Hanson being up there while Lou is onstage...Kelly is totally the man for this band, he fits perfectly with Foreigner and his vocals are amazing and his job is secure.... i find it totally disrespectful for him to be up there for the 3 songs that Lou did that night, he wasn't needed at all....he should have been offstage and let Lou do his thing with his old band.....Kelly wouldn't even this position if it wasn't for Lou Gramm and we all know that.....i hate when frontman do this to the "original" singers who gave us killer music from our youth.....Lou got a very warm welcome from a huge crowd and Kelly JUST had to be there to steal Lou's thunder which i thought was disgusting and sad on his part.....Lou was great and maybe doesn't have it like he did in the old days but it's also extremely hard at his age to out run father time.....Kelly totally sucks for doing this which just show his insecurity and lack of respect for a "rock legend".....bring on the negative comments but you'll agree with me if your a REAL FAN!!....I love them both but love LOU just a little more :)

      PTM I agree was thinking the same thing he should have let do the 3 songs and stood back with respect he really grandstanded

      Do you really think Kelly "forced" his way on the stage while Lou sang? Trust me, please trust me, Lou welcomed him there (mutual respect) and Mick (FOUNDER of Foreigner) demanded it be so. Just relax and enjoy it, OK?

    • @aintnohater2983
      @aintnohater2983 7 лет назад

      Kelly was EXTREMELY respectful. If you can't see that then you don't WANT to see it. Relax.

      PTM I agree completely have some respect I also thought he was grandstanding he should be thankful for all those hit songs that Lou Gramm made hits with his voice

    I wish Journey would do at least one song like this with Steve Perry. It's pretty sad that he wouldn't sing with them at their Hall of Fame induction.

    I really like and respect Kelly as a singer (to tell the truth,he is in a better form than Lou nowdays),but he indeed should have left the stage for Lou,or stick to the backing vocals only.

    • @aintnohater2983
      @aintnohater2983 7 лет назад

      Mick insisted and Lou welcomed Kelly on the stage. If Lou isn't hating why are you??

      Aintno Hater Me? I like Kelly a lot. I think he was the best man to replace Lou. I just said that I wish there was more of Lou on that particular night. Because that was for one night only.
