Russ has faced Mahomes 5 times in his career and outperformed him in 4 of those matchups, including in both losses in 2022. That’s what people fail to understand about Russ.
He almost needs a super-tough schedule and matchups to be at his best. It’s almost like he gets bored if he isn’t facing an elite QB and defense. Look up his history. His best games have always been against his stiffest competition.
DangeRussSteelers will be awesome. Tomlin seems to me to be a decent HC and that is all beside a good roster what Russ needs to do his magic... HERE WE GO !
I'm really excited for our Defense. We play a tough schedule. Our Defense is what will lead us to the promise land. Russell Wilson and Justin Fields are a great addition to help the Defense rest, and hopefully he can throw more than 13 TDs. I say that sarcastically because we don't need a Payton Manning type QB. We needed a QB with skill sets both Russ and Justin have. They will keep that clock moving with a great run game they can compliment and wide receivers and tight ends complimenting that run game. You know our boys on D are going to do what they do and setup our offense with great scoring opportunities. The offense just needs capitalize on those opportunities better than they did last season.

Russ doesn’t just have “pole position,” he’s looking at being signed long-term at the end of the season. I know NFL players, and the word out of Pittsburgh is that the players and coaches prefer Russ and have bought into everything he’s doing. There’s a lot of amazing talk coming out of Pittsburgh. I know Broncos fans will say that the energy was the same when he arrived in Denver, but the difference here is that the Steelers have a different culture and everybody in Pittsburgh is a grown man. Tomlin isn’t Hackett, and he’s much more professional than Sean Payton.
Even if Wilson only shows 50% of his last seasons production, he will show 100% better production than the last two seasons of Steelers QB production.

Not impressed with the Steelers, but I hope they do well. They are going to run a conservative offense, yet with a few gadget plays and deep throws that will keep defenses guessing at times. It will either be a hit or a flop. THe key to their success will be the O line.
Getting hope like last year, last year we were in the superbow,l what happen, what always happens slow start. Next year we will clean house again and do it over again it's insane. Mike tomlin will not get us to a superbowl he is a player killer pickens will be gone soon, because we will habe another disappointmenting season.

Yes they did lose a good player other than Johnson. Mason Rudolph was at the very least a very good backup quarterback. Better than Fields and possibly better than Wilson. I know you don’t like him but that’s your opinion!

I agree that Mason is way better than anyone gave him credit for. At least his last few games served as an audition for another team. I didnt agree with the way Mason was treated when Ben left. He had a cannon for an arm at Oklahoma and should've been given more of a chance to be the starter,but they went and got Tribisky and drafted Pickett but to be honest I dont think any QB had a chance in Canadas system. Even Bens last season looked shitty. Canada held the offense back just to run his system. I do believe Wilson/Fields is a much better QB room than we had before. Mason will most likley be a backup no matter where hes at.

Rudolph’s success reminded Pittsburgh of how they want to play and what is successful for us…but he’s not better than Wilson or Fields. That’s just your opinion. Both are better at playing the same game Mason does. There are reasons he will be backing up Will Levis and struggled to beat out Duck Hodges.
