The 85 bears and 76 raiders were moreso the beneficiary of the stars aligned right for them in both seasons ,not coincidental the raiders never advanced past the conference championship any other time during the 70's . The Raiders were better than the Steelers in 1976 and proved it wasn't a fluke in Week 2 of the 1977 season, the Raiders third consecutive victory over Pittsburgh‐-IN PITTSBURGH. The Steelers never beat the Raider again until 1984.
There were probably four all time great teams in the 70s. Miami, Pittsburgh,Oakland and Dallas but I think the 75 Steelers and 77 Cowboys were the two best.

Losing to more seasoned teams, Steelers twice and the Baltimore Colts. After Super Bowl 13 it was over for Dallas in terms of Super Bowl appearnces until 1992. The 1975 Steelers team was one of the greatest teams. Those Miami teams in 1972 and 1973 were pretty great. Kudos to the Redskins for keepin it at 14 to 7 in Super Bowl 7 despite their offense scoring no points. That Dolphins team was unbeatable and would have killed many other opponents in that Super Bowl. The 1976 Oakland Raiders were probably the best Super Bowl team of the 70s
