I will always be a Packer's 60s fan for life. This coming from a Minnesotan. When Norm Van Brocklin made losers out of the Vikings and cost us Fran Tarkenton, there was always the Green Bay Packers to root for and celebrate. The Ice Bowl will always be my favorite game of all time. I was so proud of Green Bay. I still remember crying when I heard Vince Lombardi has resigned as head coach and losing him in 1970 was heart wrenching. For a moment in time, we lived in Camelot.
@@lewisjones4130 , no problem. I love football and I'm more than happy to post football content for all of the other football fans. Thank you for your kind words
Not only was he a great coach but his ability to motivate people set him apart from others. People really believed in him and the results speak for themselves.
I’m not a Packers fan but I love Lombardi and the players that played FOR him. I also love to watch these old documentaries. Any of the older ones. The Cardinals in the 1925 and ‘47 championships, anything on my Raiders especially Blanda, the Snake, Plunkett, Raiders of the 60’s, 70’s and ‘80s. Watching those old guys especially in muddy uniforms when all football 🏈 was played outside and you NEVER heard of a game being canceled for bad weather.
I'm a D.C. native born after Lombardi's season with Washington. You talk to Washingtonians of a certain generation, though, and they speak of Lombardi with this sad reverence. He said he'd never coach a loser and he made good on that - both in Green Bay and Washington. Had he lived, he would have overseen dynasties in two different cities in two different decades. He was a legend.
Absolutely. Washington would've been the team of the decade in the 70s had Lombardi lived longer. No doubt about it, in my opinion. He's the greatest coach I've ever studied in any sport.
The Packers do a great job making these videos. Fantastic.

Great presentation! Doesn’t get any better!
I don't see how a Lombardi fan can watch this without crying.

24:04 what a generous accolade 👏👏
Ayyy 400 subs
I loved how each player was described.
There had to be some amazing coaches in the league to give even a loss or two to a team with Lombardi and Landry as their coordinators
Lombardi looked like my Dad (quiet, strong).
Never knew that trivia about refs not able to use their whistles.
Me either. Who knew, eh?
Yes I have
We want winners here...psychology. He got em
It’s not just 53 men to be champions Jack vainisi was responsible for putting the 60s packers together 👍
The Stadium should be changed from Lambeau Field to Lombardi Stadium.
important , even as a "want to be christian". to see
If you dont mind me asking what do you mean by "want to be Christian "?
A pfc could get a weekend pass thanks to personal intervention from JFK? That's some pull.

Max McGee looked like he was 62 years old .....he also made a fortune in Chi Chi's restaurants
