I had noticed that there was already plenty of footage directly out there from the great shield but I figured I would include some of the more odd and fun parts of this game. Including a ref cam that made an appearance lol I was shocked that the tech quality looked decent. Thank you for watching and do not forget to grab that subscribe button

If I recall correctly, the play before the one where Hampton bulldozes through the middle and strips the ball from QB Johnson, Casey was questionably flagged for defensive holding (or some other rarely called penalty on a nose tackle), which fired him UP! He was ENRAGED!
The cameras caught it all, and MNF did a great job featuring it. It was my favorite part of that game - and one of my favorite moments of all time, I guess - because I still vividly remember it to this day...
If you get a chance, take a look. Casey Hampton will have you cheesin' and cheering!

Bettis, THE BUS, will forever be my favorite player. His manner on and off the field was a class act. I saw a special where they filmed him doing his routine in getting ready for Sunday games. He went through sheer torture to prepare. His knees were shot but he showed up and gave it his all. Bettis also knew when to go out.. he went out a SB champion with the game being played in his home town of Detroit.

That’s what they were. They had a coach that coached the team they were playing the year before in the Superbowl. Warren Sapp was and is a punk and Gruden and the whole team should have a huge asterisk beside their names when talking about Superbowl champs. That was a sham of a Super Bowl if I’ve ever seen one. I vividly remember watching this game. Seeing Sapp disrespectfully skip through the Steelers’ warm ups and then seeing Jerome push him I remember saying to my buddies Sapp just lost the game for the Bucs. They poo pooed what I said. That’s when I asked them to bet me. One guy said he’ll bet me twenty bucks. I so greatly enjoyed taking his money.
Say what you will about coach Cowher’s style, but there is no denying that his teams were physically intimidating. They walked onto the field expecting to win when other teams entered a game hoping not to lose.

It probably would’ve without a doubt since the Raiders got cursed by Gruden’s knowledge of their offense. I’m not sure Pittsburgh would’ve won though based on how much the Bucs defense was on fire in the playoffs that year, but I imagine it wouldn’t have been as much of a blowout.

@@LiamDeege Growing up in the Burgh, and then living in Tampa. I'm a lifer Steelers fan, but I did enjoy Tony Dungy (former Steeler) build that amazing Defense in Tampa. Yes, I guess credit goes to Gruden for that SB win, But most of us know that was the D, Dungy and Monte Kiffin built. And with some irony, Coach Tomlin, then in Tampa (defensive backs), would go on to be the HC in Pittsburgh, and win SB 43 in this very stadium.

Had such high hopes when King came in: to add a running/playmaker element to a pretty good offence. Alas, he was too slow on the delivery, relegating Alstott to a starting role- not his forte. But hey, that was some Steeler team, eh?! Troy joined them the next season.
