The Steelers’ defense held a team with 3 future hall of famers (4 when Reggie Wayne gets in) to only TEN points. An impressive showing from Tommy Maddox & the offense too! A great all around game in a very young Heinz Field! Love to see it. If you haven’t subscribed yet, just know MORE content is always on the way! The season never ends in Yinzburgh! 🖤💛
Watching this feels like seeing Cowher at work building and completing his championship team.. The offense was one piece away at qb and they added it in 04 with Ben, and the defense was one piece away from being completed and in came Polamalu in 03.
Just because there were no HOfers doesnt mean there were no stars. Joey Porter was certainly a star, as were Hampton and Smith and Jason Gildon was an excellent sack man. Kendrell Bell couldve been an elite LB for a long time if injuries didnt ruin his career.
I'm not Tomlin hater, but Cowher knew how to build a team. All those studs on the offensive and defensive line. Nobody ever ran on us and we could always run on them.
Okay I'm going to say this. When Madden left Monday night football. It just wasn't the same. I know I saw this game. I loved watching Monday night football. Especially with The Steelers!!!
I loved how madden use to care about it player base and added little things that would actually happen on the football field. Then again, only Tom Brady is allowed to change the play at the line anymore. Lol
A completely forgotten about night in my brain. It's as if I just watched this for the first time. Awesome game. WHO RIDE?!?!?! 6:59 a great Madden moment and nostalgic as hell. BOOM!
Man, I really miss the Steelers having a good head coach and a tough, physical, dominant defense, it's been a long time since we had that feared, intimidating type of defense.
Tommy was in the zone and ken drill bell was a tank he went to the Chiefs what happened to him and I am sure this is the season tommy brought us back against the browns in the playoffs
Back when the head coach didn't rely on the front 4. This was great defense, 2024 we have a good defense, but this defense blitzed, and it was a scheme blitz unlike now. There is clearly not enough blitzing in our defense right now at all

Do you have the 1996 game against Miami
Hell im surprised Wayne isn't in already the guy was a BEAST at WR
Joey Porter gave attitude and toughness to our defenses of the 2000s. I hated that he left.
That defense…Jesus. No one was ready.
Bill Cowher and MNF home games- name a more iconic duo
Brady and gronk
That was perfectly said.
Mike Tomlin and MNF home games
Mike Tomlin and losing playoff games
@@Ryan-zt2xw Bill cowher and losing playoff games 💯
Love that you included player intros at the beginning. Puts me right back there like I'm watching the highlights for the first time!
These are the types of games I love. A Steeler Team that play up to (or Out Plays) the best of the NFL!
I’m by no means a tomlin defender but we’ve been exceptionally good against great teams in his coaching era
I get all giddy when I get a notification haha Here We Go Yinz!!
Wow, I really appreciate you having the notifications on too 🥺🖤💛
I was in the stadium for this one. The crowd was electric that night.
Love John Madden's play calling. #Here We Go Steelers
Peeezy with the block!
I can still name that O-line from memory...🖤💛
The crowd was going nuts!
LOVE that RB Trio....The Bus, Zereoue & FUUUUU!
I Love These Videos.
Thank you for watching! 🖤💛
ThT play calling was 🔥🔥🔥. Indy defense was off balance the whole night!
"Fuuuuuuuu", "Heeeeaaaattttthhhh", "Muuuuutttthhhhhh", we certainly do like our one syllable chantable last named players

And to only pull in two rings is what’s really impressive.
Dont forget Ike Taylor and Chris Hope.
Mike Logan with the steal...
Such a great game.
Defense on fire
What terrific talent on both sides. That Colts Offense was LOADED. Glenn, Saturday and Diem were All Pros. Harrison, Wayne and the Missle Quadry? Wow.
2002 Maddox is one of the best seasons in Steeler QB history, literally(going by the numbers) career years for both Hines and Plex
was my first steelers game I "watched", and also my first night alive lol
People forget Plexico before madden, I remember I remember
Maddox throwing dimes
What a dominant Steeler game!
Amos zerowae was awesome....
One of the first players I knew watching the steelers
It would have been interesting to see what Tommy's ceiling could have BEN .... :)
This steeler team was full of energy.
The 2022 steelers need to do the same.
Run the ball and hit people in the mouth
My buddies and I rarely uttered the name Tommy Maddox. We called him XFL MVP.
Shot out to Dick LeBeau. That defense was nasty.
Loved it!!! Great team! HERE WE GO!!!
That D was scary good.
That defense was so good and what's amazing is that there are no HoFers on it. They just played as a unit with no individual stars.
Just because there were no HOfers doesnt mean there were no stars. Joey Porter was certainly a star, as were Hampton and Smith and Jason Gildon was an excellent sack man. Kendrell Bell couldve been an elite LB for a long time if injuries didnt ruin his career.

2002 games are always my favorite
I wish Pittsburgh steel rolled like this! ✨
Touchdown Tommy Maddox had a great game.
Lee mays nailed that dude!!!
How stacked was the colts offense and the steelers d shut them down
Okay I'm going to say this. When Madden left Monday night football. It just wasn't the same. I know I saw this game. I loved watching Monday night football. Especially with The Steelers!!!
when tommy was on, he was unstoppable
In 02 we went 10-5-1 we won the wildcard n loss in the divisional game by 3 freakin point 🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛💯💪🏿
In OT.
@@davidgalinat4257 yes both games by three point YIKEZ
I member playing manning on madden the dude would audible like 7 times before the snap. Lol
Felt like he would never hike the ball! 😂😂
@@ItzYinzburgh yeh man
It was written in the code surely tochange the damn play

I love me some tommy maddox!!! Colts getting beat up by a car salesman lol.
@@wesleypepple7525 ahhh it was one of those

6:59 a great Madden moment and nostalgic as hell. BOOM!
WE RIDE 😈😈
One wonders how many footballs Hines Ward gave to fans? Seems he did it in just about every touchdown.
Can you PLEASE get a bunch of Big Ben clips scrambling around in the pocket and put Benny Hill music over it
I remember Maddox he was pretty good.
I remember this game. Brent Alexander's finest hour
Jesus, after seeing the Indy offense introductions... that is freakin scary... Peyton Manning, Edrigen James, Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne....
Not for that d!
The D was ON FIRE that game I remember watching it, the Edge was DULL that night.
October 21 2002. My 22nd birthday. Ill never forget. Landed in jail 10 days later for 6 months.
I have never seen anyone play the 5-tech spot better than Aaron Smith...and that includes Cam Heyward
More Maddox era games dude, guy was awesome!
The good old days when we were actually physically imposing...
9:33 madden had to get his love affair with Brett farve in. Classic madden in the late 90s and 2000s lol. Rip coach.
Man, I really miss the Steelers having a good head coach and a tough, physical, dominant defense, it's been a long time since we had that feared, intimidating type of defense.
Well the nfl activity seems to be against tough and physical defense with all the rules going into the offense favor for the past decade
Tommy was in the zone and ken drill bell was a tank he went to the Chiefs what happened to him and I am sure this is the season tommy brought us back against the browns in the playoffs
KENDRELL BELL career was never the same after injurys. Are last rookie defense player of the year.
Tommy Maddox is looked back upon as a joke and that's bullshit.
RIP John Madden

Who was the defensive coordinator then?
We’ve always owned the Colts
ALWAYS!
LeBeau > Manning. it is as simple as that.
Sure miss having a run stop defense .lol
Mike Tomlin & MNF
