Love this game. Can't wait to see the new features from the Kickstarter implemented. Thanks for the procedures. My memory for doing these things is hopeless :P

In my field, Amber is a Caution and Red is a Warning. White and Cyan are usually indications of conditions.

Been playing this since the initial demo, its a great title that's going to only get better with development funding. When I say to folks about wanting to play a "real trek"-type title, this is it.

wow as a 3D environment student I am seriously impressed by the ship interior, it looks fantastic!

If you haven't already, I highly recommend looking through the dev livestreams. The last 2 have been detailing how the ship is being built, which sounds like would be right in your area of interest. The interior isn't just for show, each panel is attached to hardpoints on a fully modeled interior frame. Every panel, floor, and overhead can be removed (or damaged) to access systems run behind it. (There's a link in the desc.)

This game is looking utterly great, yeah it's a demo but it's already showing a great deal of promise, really is just like being aboard the starship "Enterprise", wonder what William Shatner would say if he saw this game being played, might smile with affection. It's a great thought that comes to mind when you think this could be Sci-fact in the future instead of Sci-fi. To think our descendants will be looking at this in the future and wondering what we're thinking and dreaming at this particular moment. Great procedures shown in this one, only someone who is ex forces can get through all this without making any mistakes, great episode.. loved it, stay safe and happy gaming mate 👍

Thanks! Like I mentioned in the Discord, as other ship's systems become complete I'll be excited to move to other departments to showcase those.

24:00 Definitely need to change the display for battery time remaining. If you have hours, and not enough room, don't show the seconds. 1h21m is more useful than being misleading about the 21m just to get the seconds.

Just wait until other systems are added like life support and such. Those will need to be secured and shutdown as well. One thing, I would think should be add is battery operated local lighting for when ship's power is offline. An actual mechanical switch or breaker for at least the startup capacitor system would make some sense. It would be one of the few, if not the only system on the ship that actually needs to be physically switched off to preserve its charge.
It would also make more sense for the emergency solar system to be wired into the startup capacitors more directly. Not to mention, having another power generator on the ship besides solar and the main reactor.
However, I get that its a tech demo, not anywhere close to anything like the final simulation.

    "We point, we shoot."
Ouch, that brought back a 23 year old memory the time I almost scrammed the plant on my first EO watch in Prototype.

That's about the time I was in prototype, too. In retrospect, that's the place to make such mistakes and learn from them. When I dumped a reactor (as a mechanic, no less) it was out to sea and was quite the whoopsie

@@devinhorner2358 0006, 635. If you were on shift that night, EVERYBODY knew about it.
And yeah, there are lots of other stories from doing that at sea, with hilarity (depending on your definition) ensuing.

While You are talking about input agergater breakers you should probably shut them down or isolate them first before shutting down the reactor, because all though input breakers are closed when they went offline, when you restore main power to the input breakers your have a huge load already going into the input breakers, also I would recommend when on the bridge switch to emergency lighting this will lower the outpost drain on all decks, also its a good idea once the reactor is shutdown, put it in isolation mode so if there is a surge in the electrical lines as you are shutting down the breakers it ain't going to travel back down to the reactor, to where it could jump to the warming collant tanks and next thing you know BOOM you now got to replace the reactor the megnetic field coils and the tanks because the surge caused the problem, plus, it might be a good idea to isolate the batteries from the start up so you don't get a electrical surge that travels backwards through the lines to the batteries damaging them.

Its a full Starship simulator. You can travel around a 1:1 generated model of the Milky-way Galaxy. This video was just about the engineering power systems.

Why not just skip the dog and pony show and causing the emergency shutdown
