@@Pensadosplace Damn, that would be sooo dope! Please ask about what he does to get Ariana Grandes vocals to sit so perfectly in a dense mix, and in general what's in his vocal chain, and also what he does to the drums and bass to punch so hard and work together so well. Thanks love your show!
what pensado does stays foreven , even his influence on people . i love the way he respects and learn again from people he teached in the past .. incredible .
Dave did you Work at Full Sail University Back In 2010? I could have sworn you were one my instructors in lab. If so congrats on all your success with your channel. I’ve come a long way since then. I’m now a multi platinum producer. Salute to you brother.
Yung Shad Beatz can you please mentor me? I’ve been making beats for years and am a mixing engineer. I just don’t know how to go about monetizing/selling my music.
@@DjSuperK I thought he was using a trim-plugin to duck the volume at the beginning of the 808 when the kick hits at the same time? Isn't that sidechaining, or do you actually need to have a compressor in order to sidechain (serious question :))?
Pepsi challenge , before and after should be obtainable for the public. As a mix engineer, I'd love for new clients being able to research to hear what I can do for thier music.
Try it yourself. Take an 808 sample and a kick sample. Trim the attack of the 808 and you'll be left with 1.5 to 2 db more headroom. Its a neat trick but sidechain should still be the go to for most day to day scenarios.
your content elevated my production to another level. thank you
This is hands my favourite episode, you can def hear Jaycen's confidence in his mixes... Fearless, bold, professional, love it!
Would we ever see Serben Ghenea on the show?
Im waiting for that also
Also would love that!

Do you guys hear that!!!!! Trim a bit of the 808 to give the kick room!!!!! Wow So simple yet I never thought about that!!!
It's basically sidechaining without a compressor
Lil FrontDoorCarpet no lol it’s basically just removing the beginning of the 808 wave file

43:33 INCREDIBLE
25:14 What does he mean by "it give me about 2db of headroom" ? Is 2db because he trim the front of the 808 so after he get 2db headroom ?
Yeah
Try it yourself.
