NASCRAFT BK didn't help, but there's 2 other things that the #24 could've done that could've helped him get into the final 4: 1) He could've chose the inside line for the restart. The Keselowski thing most likely wouldn't have happened, and the inside line was usually the preferred line. Even if Keselowski got around Jeff to win, Jeff's 2nd place finish would've eventually given him enough points to get into the final 4. I mean, that could've been 3 straight top-2 finishes. 2) He could've taken the left side tires first when he was on pit road so that he could've had a better chance of beating the pace car off pit road. That could've at least got him some positions back. I mean, he missed the final 4 by 1 point.
NASCRAFT That would've got just as much infamy as the 2013 Richmond scandal, though. I don't really blame Newman, though. Personally, if I were in his shoes, I'd probably do the same thing. The Chase should've never been made, and that's the exact reason why.
@@rcracer8872 jeff won way more races against harder competition than Dale did...And wouldve won the same championships if the format wouldve stayed the same as Earnhardt's did...Sorry...Gordon was way more talented
Awesome job. The new part really captures the ups and downs of his final season. That win at Martinsville was incredible to watch, and will be difficult to beat.
+Fozz Gate haha NASCAR is in so much denial about where the sport is headed, they are too insecure with themselves to listen to the REAL fans. That discussion page on their channel is flooded with fans like me that are beyond frustrated with the direction the sport is going.

I love how Brad pointed out Jeff being a 7 time champ if NASCAR didn't change the format. He had a shot at having 8. I just wish Jeff could have driven the COT better. he struggles with it from 2008-2010. I feel like the loss to JJ in 2007 got into his head. he didn't seem the same from 2008-2015. idt he had more than 4wins in a season and that only happened in '11 and '14. the other years were either 0 ,1, or 2.
I wouldn't say raw end. he was still better than Jr, Casey, Kasey, and Mark. Jeff did pick JJ and he kind of has 10 championships when you think about it. Jeff said he just couldn't get a good handle on the COT unlike the guys at RFR, JGR, and JJ. Jimmie was the reason HMS was even talked about from 2008-2010.

Even Brad Daugherty agrees that Jeff Gordon should be a 7-time champion.
Yeah if they didn't change the chase format he would have 6-7 championships
Plus Keselowski ruined it for us in 2014

this is so well made
Adam Fisher thanks!
That Martinsville win was AWESOME!
A true champion of the sport.
I think during 2001, Jeff Gordon did a great job even in 2014. If Dale Sr saw Jeff win the 2001 Nascar season, He'd be proud.
1. Petty 2. Pearson 3. Earnhardt 4. Gordon
Richard Petty, Dale Earnhardt and Jeff Gordon. The 2016 NASCAR Sprint Unlimited looked like a Busch Series race. I'm going back to watch WWE.

If Evernham wouldve stayed, and the points format wouldve stayed the same. Jeff would be a 10 time Nascar champion...
Hahahahaha no he wouldn't besides my favorite driver all-time Dale Earnhardt won 7 jeff only 4
How many did Earnhardt win after 1994 exactly? Oh yeah that's right! Wonder Boy put an end to that.
Man if evernham would have never left...
He would be second all time in wins that's for sure and who knows how many more championships.
