  • I have been wanting to do a video for Tim Richmond for a long time, so here it is. I know it is a random upload, but I just felt like doing it. I do not own the footage, music, or audio. The song is "Walking on a Dream" by Empire of the Sun.

    Tim Richmond:
A Man who star Shined so bright of a promising career.
A Man who really put Hendrick Motorsports on the map in the mid 80s. A Man who had a good ride with a Cup of coffee in the big time.
A Man who had an electrifying personality in the garage and a take no prisoners attitude on the track.

I'm an old school Bill Elliott fan, but man did I love watching Tim and Earnhardt going back and forth as well. If he didn't get hiv/aids, he would have probably won 2 or 3 titles. great tribute to an amazing driver, rip brother

Fantastic video. My dad grew up as a Tim Richmond/Neil Bonnett fan. Great job, wish I couldve watched him race.

What a great video you put together for one of the first so called playboys of NASCAR. By playboy, it's definitely not meant to be an offensive label cause _boy could he play_ with some of the greats and held his own. Awesome talent... thanks again for the upload, was really enjoyable.

I've followed the sport since the early "70's and anyone that wants to dog up NASCAR, watch some clips of Dale,Sr & Tim running wheel to wheel that's stock car racing. There's only one driver the intimidator couldn't intimidate & that was TR.

X- DRUNK id say ole DW gave Dale a run for his money. Darrell wasn’t afraid to knock dale sideways either.

I'm not DW wasn't a great driver, he wasn't the driver Dale Sr. was or Richmond, he had a habit of putting people in the wall when he knew he couldn't beat them.

DW and Richard Petty were the two most vocal drivers regarding whether Tim should have been allowed to race sick. They both ended their careers as also rans getting into the field with champions provisionals nearly every week. Dale and Tim went out at the top of their game like the best always do.

Dale and tim had a tight friendship. Tim would get mad cause dale wouldn't go 2 la and party. U never wanna go party dale! All u want2do is bale hay and play with your chickens!

Yes. I remember when they wrecked each other in Pocono and Tim helped Dale down the track. Dale had broken his leg but was trying to hide it from NASCAR and Tim got on the media saying he had a " charley horse" covering for him. Found out later Dale quietly had surgery on it early that week and drove again the following weekend. NASCAR never found out about it until much later. Dale was the only one to protest to France Sr. when they pulled Tim's license.

Had Tim lived...Earnhardt, Gordon would have a hard time reaching the number of championships they did...and...what if Davey Allison had...well...you get the idea....Damn they were all Champions.......some did not recieve a trophy

Nascar would've been so much better in the 90's with Davey, Kulwicki, & Richmond. No one wouldve ever expected all 3 dying away from a race car

I still find it ironic that the only driver who stuck up for Tim Richmond, when he was going through his hardships with NASCAR, and campaigned to get his job back was Dale Earnhardt, the driver who benefited the most from Tim being gone.

They say the king of rock and roll was elvis.. they won't talk about chuck berry.. they say Dale was the man, they won't talk about Tim Richmond.
