    Also one of the few who could beat Earnhardt toe to toe in that 1986-1987 span. If Richmond runs a full 1987, Dale Sr doesn't get his record 11 win season that's a fact.

    Met Tim in 84 at Rockingham, was riding a scooter around the infield campground and stopped and had couple beers and a hamburger with my dad and his friends i was 14, i thought that was the coolest shit ever will never forget it, funny seeing this i just was showing a friend my Winston cup trucker hat he signed. Just shows you the talent he had in 86 out of 12 races, he won 6 and finished second in the other 4, that's total domination right there, nobody else has come close to that. And fk NASCAR for what they did to Tim, they set him up and lied and falsified drug test results, then tried to sabotage his career, bastards.

      Nascar was dirty in this situation but Tim brought a lot of it on himself also. So there a lot of guilty parties in what happened.

    • @grimmettcleaningservices7003
      @grimmettcleaningservices7003 2 года назад

      @@ragingbull154 exactly. Whenever somebody says NASCAR screwed tim, they always assume that we're blaming NASCAR for him getting aids. It's Tim's on fault for me and a responsible and not wearing protection, in terms of them getting AIDS and dying. But from a NASCAR standpoint, the 30 for 30 makes it fairly evident that NASCAR thought that he had AIDS, an instituted the drug policy as a backdoor way to get rid of him. I'm only 42, but I can remember how big the stigma of AIDS was before magic announced he had it.
      There's a difference between feeling sorry for Tim Richmond and expressing the fact that NASCAR dicked him over. I don't feel extremely sorry for Tim richmond, but that doesn't mean that NASCAR didn't screw him over. Honestly, I feel bad for the woman that he was dating that still has aids, as well as the lady I saw on 60 minutes that believes Tim gave it to her on purpose. Now, if you were to tell me that NASCAR knew that Tim Richmond was giving AIDS to women but they somehow or without AIDS before December of 1986, then at least it's understandable. The fact that they asked Tim Richmond for his medical records even after that drug test shows that that was the real reason drug policy in the first place
