The three hacks are:
1) The Bounce test, used to see what is usually causing noises on your bike when you're riding
2) The Wiggle Test, used to see if your cranks, wheels, or headset are loose?
3) The Eyeball test, used to literally see if there are any stress or hairline cranks, dents, or damage to your bike!

I've come across a few bikes when I worked at a bike shop were the everything was tight in the head tube but, it still wiggles. Here with a little bit more close inspection and finding out that the head tube is ovaled out. That come from doing a lot of jumps when the head set is loose.

Yes, overly tight chains can do that! I recommend just keeping it nice and snug
