Been riding for atleast 15 years now. Now is the time to relearn them barspins while on community lockdown. shout out from the philippines! Stay safe 👩🎤👩🎤👩🎤
My neighbor was in the navy and was stationed in the philpine islands. He married a beautiful prostitute. I keep hopeing one day she will go back to her old ways so I can try her out when he is out of town
The reason why it’s hard to 180 barspin the “wrong way” gets into some fun physics! Spinning objects have what is called angular momentum and giving an object angular momentum requires applying a “torque”. If you spin the bars opposite to the direction you 180 (the “right way”) the bike has a lower total angular momentum and so you don’t have to give as big a torque to the bike. Giving a bigger torque to the bike requires you to really muscle the bike and can make you more unstable. BMX is full of cool physics for all you nerds out there.
Dude... Thank you so heckin much for making this video! Over ten years. The mental block of this trick has held me back. Today.. I let go! I caught a mani bar!!! One step closer to the big ol hop bar!!! Much appreciated!! Sincerely, the guy that felt like a wacky, wavy, inflatable, arm tube man. 😂
I remember trying to " no hander" bunny hop when I was 15. I ended up bagging myself very hard, and not trying it again! Hopefully with your video I can push ahead. Thank you Dude! I love your videos! Wes Sept
I have only the weekends to practice barspins, I have watched this vid and Tyra's how to barspin vid over and over. Today I felt like riding so I spent some time practicing barspin while im at it and I finally managed to do a half bar, it felt so good and I also feel like I can do a full barspin this weekend. I'm super hyped, thanks to you and Mikey!
Been riding for well over 10 years, but can't Barspin or Tailwhip yet. I keep trying but never land either one. I've just watched your video, and have realised I'm turning the bars the wrong way. I'm right foot forward, but feel more comfortable pulling the bars with my left hand and now you're telling me that's wrong haha. At 27YO I still am being taking back to school lol. Just spent 2K on new bike parts as my 6YO frame and parts are dusty af and weigh a ton. Here's hoping your video helps me. "Fingers crossed"
I'm going to cut my bars down a bit before trying this, they are fairly wide, and I see that they will hit me, so a quick little zip, and then try your technique. The whole pedal position is really helpful! Wes Sept
I'll be 40 this year. Used to ride all day every day until I was 25. Then just quit because of work, life, and fat. But thinking of getting a 24in bmx and seeing what all I could do. I'm 6'0 so the 20in might not cut it. Although that's what I used to ride.
The little girl riding by on her bike watching you do bar spins breaking her neck looking at it lol so wholesome 😂 she went and got the family to come see ❤
Damn Fredo, you read my mind again!! I was learning hop barspins and I hope this would help!! Quick question: how come whenever I hop for the barspin I can't pinch my seat? My seat is very high but my knees can't pinch em !
I can do double pull up bars both ways, you need to pinch, i learned a hop bar not too long ago, if i dont pinch it goes all sketchy 😂, but try to learn pull up bars and then hop bars, it is better for the muscle memory and confidence
Good video, I agree to learn a pickup bars on the way to bar spins. Actually also a x-up ride would fit in before the pickup bars. I recognized that there is even a smooth transition between pickup bars and real bar spin when to try to lift of your whole body weight of the bike while still having the back wheel on the ground. After doing that, it only needs a little extra lift on the bars before spinning and you have the hop.
This was SOOOOOOO helpful especially staying straight on your bike I can now do a half barspin and I’m so excited to ride more and keep trying THANKS SOOO MUCH
Thanks Alfredo it so hard being left foot forward (aka regular) my left hand was just never the strongest ha I always throw them with my opposite hand (which is my right hand) and the bike leans to the right side ... I hate that! but this video shows me the confidence and support I need to complete that full rotation in my regular form 🤘🏼 #bmxelpaso

I always wanted to learn barspins. From like the late 90s. But I was always worried about catching a open bar end the the gut, off a set of doubles. I'm getting a new bike in a few days. After watching this video maybe I'll try it o. Flat.
Which is a good bike to start off bmx ing not too costly but something which will take a lot of abuse I’m 48 around 5,10 in my day I had a Raleigh burner thanks Russell
I cloud pull up bar perfectly but when i try to do a bar i am just so scared to let my hands off my bars in a bunny hop so i just end up doing bunny hop to x ride
Shout out to Angel from LA thanks for the chrome bars with the glow in the dark grips. The rise on those are just right for me. I’m not hunch backed wile I BMX
My brain hates trying it correctly . Like you I'm left foot forward and spin wrong . Feels safer this way and I get a faster spin , glad to see I'm not alone on doing something but wrong for some reason 😅
I need to film myself. Every time I go to bunny hop barspin I hit my thighs with the bar. I do have pretty big thighs as I am a training olympic lifter. Good tutorial. On the ground I can land it almost every-time. First time riding a bike again in 14 years (29 now).

I have trouble with gripping the seat, I can’t seem to stop it from just slipping out whenever I take my hands off. I have a pretty slick leather seat, but it’s a good size. Is it just a problem of technique or is it actually down to the seat?
Most likely a combination of the slick seat, not pinching properly OR it’s just not high enough so you can’t get a good pinch
Will James you could be throwing the barspin down, so the bike falls to the ground
