First off I'm 40 years old. I haven't rode BMX since 1989. I remember renting the movie RAD. I love these videos. I just purchased a BMX last week. I want to get back into it again. I'm a skater from the late 80's. But I think both are like peas and carrots. Just wanted to say these tips are really helpful. I know I can do most of this stuff because I did some of this as a kid. I love this dude. He's real, informative, and had humor in his videos. Great stuff. Thank you!

Brilliant video; I am totally new to BMX and in my late 40’s. Been riding BMX for one week. Thank you for breaking it down for an old man who just wants to learn and enjoy.
So im a dude in his early thirties and my gf is in her mid twenties, and we LOVE your videos! We just got bikes so these how to's are super helpful to us since we dont have much access to other riders or even a park yet. Keep it up man, youre the best!!!
Best bike channel I've seen in a while. Peak humor and also great info shared. Just picking up bmx after 7+ years of "unintentional abandonment" and I must say, this channel does a really good job brushing up skills.
37 first BMX yesterday! Went out today doing a few bunny hops and ended up on my ass. I usually ride MTB but my daughter is getting in to Bmx so I figured I could cruise around with her. It’s quite a learning curve. Bmx bikes I find a lot less forgiving. I could do wheelies on my 29er, but the Bmx has such small tires that the slightest bit too far and you loop out. I was not expecting it, and my legs being so close to the ground I didn’t have time to get them down. I definitely learned from that mistake! It’s going to be an adventure for sure, but I’m looking forward to it. The content on this channel is top notch for beginners, thank you for all your hard work!
Im getting back into BMX since riding in the late 80s / early 90s - way to teach the kiddo a thing or two! Yours and Adam's vids are awesome - and I appreciate the "Fam Friendly" nature. Cheers bud! Keep it up
Same here brother! I used to ride back in 80s/90s now teaching my 3 kids how to do some tricks. This 42 year old got some very surprised looks the other day at local skatepark when I was doing some decent bunny hops and carving up the quarter and pool sections...love it! Spencer has inspired me with this video get my manuals down!
6:46 if you have old elbows then reverse gripping one grip handle is the way to go. BMX has changed so much. Wish I still had that spirit of not caring about falling. I just do simple tricks on my old BMX bike with a big sprocket now. When the bike buying frenzy dies down Im getting a new one.
Great How To Video.... I would like to compliment you on the hate mail videos. They were so funny. Please do more. I do believe everybody really does like Chad.
I’ve skateboarded since I was little. I got into mountain biking kinda thinking I’d eventually try BMX, but after hitting some jumps with a more stable suspension bike. As a trucker I see more skate parks than trails. I bought an old school style bike on Facebook for 100$ and I landed an air over coping today! I feel super retro like a bmx bandit lol
awesome video!!! but you missed the footjam tailwhip!! was one of the first tricks I learned after bunny hops and manuals and a bit of fakie. Im looking forward to re learn that trick! It should be like riding a bike! haha
Seriously brother , Diggin the vids , pay credit where credit is due , you can actually ride , and your vids and sense of humour are funny as shit .... Totally worth watching !!!!! Shout out from Australia!!!!! If you read this shout back at Australia!!!!! Yewwwww ✌🏽
Spencer im 46yrs old and watch All your videos specially Florida swamp fest DJ abc uk crate king use to ride a haro Master back when i was in my teens and 20s
Once I was trying a foot jam and haven't done one in a while... I was going too fast and my foot literally got jammed, I wasn't hurt but it was really hard to take out
So funny that your shout out the one guy that wants to learn how to hop into foot jams, me🤣I'm super glad I found these older videos❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥I'm probably gonna watch the whole series
got any tips for getting out of a double peg grind or feeble when i get onto a ledge and grind it i find it really hard to hop of the ledge and usually get out of it by riding it out but have been trying to hop out so i can hop onto the ledge after i grind it but i cant seem to get a good pop like i would if i was just hopping from the ground.
I just picked up an old bmx for free and wanna start riding. Also wanna do a paint job on it tho, the old paint is a little chipped and rusted ... got any tips to set up my bike and how to repaint like the frame and handlebars and stuff? Also, it came with brakes but on YT I see a lot of bikes wihout brakes, how come? Thanks for the helpful vid!
I got a question to spencer. I did a bunnyhop and something was cracking really loud as i landed. I saw nothing that is cracked or anything. Do you know what it might be? My headset is perfectly tighten and my wheels are thighten too. It came fromt the handlebars
I broke my elbow a couple of months ago and due to the type of break the doctors reckon my arm might never straighten again. Will I ever be able to manual without my arms locked straight?
ive been watching ur vids and am thinking to get to street bmxing... i do currently only own a bmx race bike, would it be suitable for doing tricks with those lightweight parts (not the strongest) im afraid something would snap
i got my first half barspin two days ago, first try! but i cant do barspins yet, hopefully I'll get it in a few days.. anyway, thanks for the video spencer!
I love these how to vids. Can't wait to try some of these. I've also got some hate mail comin your way so just be prepared for the roasts in there cause I put in a lot of effort to make the insults extra 🔥
Never too old to start really. I started last year at 35. If you don't do any physical activity right now, expect to get sore. It's pretty tiring at first until your body gets used to it.
This video made me want to start thinking about doing bmx. But when I was younger I saw how dangerous it was then I grew up and learned everything is dangerous so I’m starting whenever I get a good bike
Would like to see the process of learning how to backflip or flare (I know how to would just like to see (someone else how they learnt it) in video format.)
The flatland style tricks are almost easier for me, since I used do them between like 86 - 91I did street ride, but not as much. Its so funny that last trick I can pretty much do , but the other ones would be harder for me.
I am 43 years old, i purchase a Wtp Crysis 2 week ago. It s very hard for me 😬😲😢 But i like this and i love my bike ! Do you think a bar less taller was a good idea? (My bar is 9.5 inch, 65 feet for my body)

Thanks man. Good content. Great personality and attitude towards learning

The Footjam was my fave trick in the 80s, but this is the first time I’m seeing it done with a hop. We used to just roll into it.

Watched this video, ended up tire riding pretty lengthy isolated curbs that day. Good overall video for the basics to gain bike control.

Cosmic Steez they don’t have to be 100% straight it can have a slight bend
But you have to me mega strong
Dont listen to the doctors
yeah its just a lil harder
So cool how you turned a boring leaf covered curb into a trick spot. Good video. I learned stuff.

I'm bad ad COD and COD:Mobile
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your vids are quite helpful, and a real pleasure to watch. Cheers.
I’m thinking of getting a raw Sunday frame. How long did you have yours when it first showed signs of rusting
Why is one of your grips longer than the other 😂
because if u know anything about bmxing, grips move from pressure
775 Video actually if you knew anything you’d know that the grip IS actually longer than the other! They sell super long grips as well’.
Probably bar spin hand is the longer grip
Hubert Gonzales probably because if there WERE brakes then the clamp could fit on the bar
Thanks Spencer... appreciate these types of vids man.
