Congratulations - you just illustrated some of the features of this pedal that were hard to grok from other sites demonstrations and did it clearly and half the time. Bravo!
Andy, you're great!!! Not only the best reviews but even the greatest - and not the same - riffs and songs...Go on man, keep us informed!!!! Greetings from Greece...
I can tell you first hand that these are some of the best guys in the industry to do business with! David Koltai is so passionate about his products, you can tell his heart is in every one he sells. This is hands down the best looping pedal I've ever heard. Great products, and the innovation never stops cooking. Once they invent something cool, they continually improve upon it. The really cool thing is they build improvements to the products you've already bought and let you update them! Highly recommend this looper, and anything else Pigtronix builds!
My buddy had the tc ditto and after hearing the Pigtronix, he returned his tc. The sound of the tc was just too "sterile" compared to teh Pigtronix, although there were more features on the tc. To me, it's all about the sonic quality...
STRATMAN firdaus This is from Premier Guitar review--There’s no audible difference between pass-through tone and a direct guitar-to-amp signal, and that precious headroom is no doubt a product of the 18V DC power supply.. Andy: Really appreciate your videos. Look forward to them whether they're Lick of the Day or product demos. I've come to rely on you for product selection/purchase. I just purchased the Infinity Looper and it is unbelievable! Getting ready to purchase several Catalinbread pedals from Pro Guitar Shop in the next couple of days because of your demos. Keep 'em coming! Nice work!
Normally when you close a loop, it goes into the PLAY state. If you close a loop using the UNDO switch, then it goes straight into the OVERDUB state so that there is no break between the end of the loop and the beginning of the first overdub.
Cool, acts like the looper system David Gilmore uses. I always wanted the expression pedal control like he has. This pedal utilized by a talented and innovative player like Andy is the coolest thing ever!! Great! demo Andy.
Maybe they got tired of people complaining that the video didn't have the proper tone and seemed too much like an ad, instead of shutting up and just enjoying how to play some badass riffs. But you know people can't just be happy with what they get for free.
Cool looper with some unique features (like the multiplier; split & parallel, etc.), but I'm just so accustom to the individual track volume and pan sliders per loop... like the EHX 2880, 45000, etc... They have all the charm of a classic Tascam 4 track cassette recorder (PORTA-Studio).
Almost! I am looking for the perfect live looper, one that you can do a tap track on acoustic, add a rhythm track, start and stop them independently, and play on top. If this does that it's unclear as this is a stacking video. Everything points to the Boomerang III as the best out there. If this was 2-300 I'd think about trying to work with it, but it's priced the same as the Boomerang. Thanks for the video, the more I investigate these the more the decision becomes clear.
JP solomusic hey man did you end up getting the Boomerang 3? I'm looking at this one vs the Boomerang 3 but unfortunately can't find any merchants that carry the Boomerang 3. 0_0
Bugger... makes my Boss RC20 seem totally crap now ! Not really :0) but this looper definitely takes looping to another level. Of course the best bit of kit to have is imagination !
Hey guys, could u tell me the name of the song in the background in this video?Right after the very first time he uses the pedal and stops to explain.I love the riff,i'd really like to learn it.
Andy, or anyone else who could offer some advice: which of the ehx 45000/2880 or the infinity would you recommend for a guitarist wanting to record full tracks with various different riffs each with their own many overdubs? or if any helpful soul could point me in the direction of a different piece of kit which might do this better i'd be very grateful. cheers in advance.
Question here - We play to a click track live with a laptop, and since I'm one guitar player, I need something that can be synced to midi to play a pre-recorded riff at the exact moment the solo comes in, without me touching anything on the pedal at all. Is that possible with this pedal?
anybody know why the infinity looper doesnt come in on the first of the measure after the beat buddy intro? there seems to be no explanation on pigtronix site. the beatbuddy midi is set to always on. its driving me nuts!
@@saintjabroni Nope. Unfortunately, i returned mine due to software bugs, but that was almost a year ago, so I'm sure they've made a lot of updates and improvements. Honestly that new boss looper might be the way to go. Personally, I've given up on the hardware loopers and just liveloop with ableton and a footswitch now.
@@blushingfrieza Thank you for your response. I’m just gonna go with the MXR Clone Looper, seems a solid and crystal clear one (Ditto gets so many fucking complaints it’s scary), even though MXR will no doubt release an upgraded version with a bank feature in the future. 😑 Oh and stereo... 😑
@@saintjabroni yeah i was lucky enough to read a ton of bad reviews on the ditto b4 i was about to buy one. Can't believe how many ppl get stuck with that thing. Good luck in your musical endeavors friend!
What should be made clear is he's using lots of other effects, not just the looper. The looper can't add any effects so beware if you want to "sound" like this with a looper you need additional effects hardware.
+Dan Jack-son Yes but when you use him as a slave on midi he sync but does not obey when you stop the master, he continue playing. Infinity as slave on midi stops when the master stop.
He said "analog audio path". In reality I believe he meant "analog audio DRY path", which is very different. The recording of course is being done in the digital domain, and upon playback there is mixing of the wet signal with the dry.
But what they're showing is no different than most looper pedals. Why is it almost $400? What else does it do? You're better of with a Boss looper for half the price and has million banks and hours and hours of recording time so you can record whole songs and be a one man band.
andys demos are the best-most informative and they answer what most of us would be asking
Andy sure is a tasteful player ... Love checking out all of PGS video demos ...
Congratulations - you just illustrated some of the features of this pedal that were hard to grok from other sites demonstrations and did it clearly and half the time. Bravo!
Even when I don't care about the song (which is most of the time) I watch it cuz Andy is so cool.
Andy, you're great!!! Not only the best reviews but even the greatest - and not the same - riffs and songs...Go on man, keep us informed!!!!
Greetings from Greece...
We care! Dude always gives me another song to obsess over and learn top to bottom. He basically decides my garage bands setlists...love that guy.
this guy always plays very nice tasteful riffs, best demos on youtube
Dude these little jams are amazing

Do you think this is still the best looper out there? What do you think of the ditto x2 (true bypass) from tc electronics compared to the infinity?
My buddy had the tc ditto and after hearing the Pigtronix, he returned his tc. The sound of the tc was just too "sterile" compared to teh Pigtronix, although there were more features on the tc. To me, it's all about the sonic quality...

Andy is a real guitar pro! How I've not been subscribed? 🤔 Just after this video.🤩 Thanks for the short but impressive and informative video.
Fantastic demo and playing Andy! I am in the market for a looper now and this one was top on my list - I think you just sealed the deal.
No person could have demoed this pedal better. Period

You truly are a wonderfully talented player, Andy. I could listen to you all day.

5:09 Loop Aging that is worth the cost of admission

That is amazing Andy, and a really
great looper also.
Great Demo Andy, Sounds like a Pretty awesome Looper..-Great sound quality and nice features.
You should demo the infinity 3 for comparison!
Another amazing demo - keep 'em coming.
Excellent video, thanks for creating and posting, much appreciated : )
These things just sound Afreakin'mazing!!
Pigtronix as glorious as usual!
We know. Andy has only so many hours in a day. Look for a lesson tomorrow. And most of all, thanks for actually caring.
Andy should really do a video on his picking technique. Would really love to learn to play like that!
Beautiful playing.
OMG this pedal is useful and awesome !!thanks 4 the video !!=)
Hey guys, remember when PGS was doing riff of the days? Good times... good times...

Was that the ballad of sir frankie crisp at the end? Epic song.
Pigtronix are wizards!
Qué maravilla! Pedal increíble pero las canciones además suenan tremendas.
wow ... expression pedal goodness!
Andy rocks!

Dave Knudson needs a few of these...
what is the main difference between this version and the infinity 3?
definitely curious about the quality of the A/D conversion/audio between this and the latest version of the boomerang.
thanks for the demo.
that is an amazing pedal :)

Hi Andy, nice playing. What guitar model is this G&L btw? Is this the S-500? Thanks.
We see Andy playing with tons of different guitars , which ones are his ? I think les paul with seymour duncans are his , right ?
Awesome
Sweet, some day! :-)

how is it for looping vocals? Can I have both guitar and mic inputs ready for both looping simultaneously and separately?
This is exactly why the Ditto is going to sell so well LOL
Great demo as always! You guys gonna make me poor! :)
So cool! This one's on my G.A.S short list... :)
How long did it take you to figure this thing out? Great demo.
What's the song in the background around starting at 1:25?

what is background track around 2:30 onward?
Do you have infinite amount of overdubs on each loop track? Like, for example the Dittox2 or the EHX 45000? Thanks
Which quality is better: pigtronix or boss rc-500?
Which song is the one at 4:40 (circa)?
is it safe to use this as a splitter to two amps when not looping?
One loop to bind them
Does this work as a delay pedal on it's own?
Ditto looper ftw
fucking awesome
Up to now, I always thought they were called Pigatronix ... whoops.
Can you use two instruments with this pedal? eg. a guitar and a synth?
Its got two inputs so, yeah. Dont have one yet but might order soon
1:13 I think you were enjoying that.
anybody know why the infinity looper doesnt come in on the first of the measure after the beat buddy intro? there seems to be no explanation on pigtronix site. the beatbuddy midi is set to always on. its driving me nuts!
Return the pigtronix if you still can. The people who made beat buddy came out with the best looper ever called Aeros
@@blushingfrieza Aeros, best looper ever...that a fact? Real question.

One would be hard pressed to find a better guitar player on youtube..seriously.
i second that.. :)
I was hoping he was playing some rheingold at the beginning

I would imagine it would be pretty hard to that though. lots of production. Perhaps they should have done riff of the week instead
Can someone tell me the name of the Song that Andy plays at 04:17? Please!... It's amazing!
Did you ever find out? I too love what he's doing there!
Sounds like a derivation on the melody to "I won't back down". Sounds like the same chords though, with the exception of throwing in a sus4 on one.
It make me think to Unstookie Titled from the Babyshambles
Andy, you should hook up with Reggie Watts.
Want.
great tool. shit is expensive tho
oops time goes by and now TC Electronics Ditto X4 is killer
+Dan Jack-son Yes but when you use him as a slave on midi he sync but does not obey when you stop the master, he continue playing. Infinity as slave on midi stops when the master stop.
right?!
All Andy needs to do now is sing over the top of all of that...
How can it have an "analog audio path" when it records digitally?
Your guitar stays analog while playing live, on playback of course it is digital.
He said "analog audio path". In reality I believe he meant "analog audio DRY path", which is very different. The recording of course is being done in the digital domain, and upon playback there is mixing of the wet signal with the dry.
boomerang iii is sweeter
Its whales!!
why do all these reviews always loop guitar?? as if that's the only signal you can send down a jack cable!
Loops are so confusing, you can do similar, less fancy, stuff with just a long delay
G
was not a fan.

better be ready to put on your shoes in your own living room. I hate pedals with these kind of switches.
