Phil is a good friend of mine, I am glad to say. I have seen him a lot through the years, shared the stage with him a little bit, roadied a couple of times, etc. I have to say that I really enjoy watching the crowd's response to him now almost as much as I enjoy watching and listening to him! He really is a loop master. It requires a lot of thinking ahead. He is REALLY good at doing that. :) He also REALLY likes the Infinity Looper.
I've had the pleasure of seeing him four times. pretty sure the first time was in Orlando at Jesus '80, then Murray Hill Theater in Jacksonville three times.
I am 63 years of age. I have long enjoyed this man's heart as it shows in his God given talent. what an amazing thing God can do if only we would give ourselves to Him
I bought an Infinity looper based largely on Phil's use of it, plus my own research. I'm very happy with it! Now if I could just use it as well as he does....lol practice practice practice! Mr. Keaggy is an awesome player and performer, and he loves to pass his energy along. Thanks
I like it when a looper demo shows it being used to play something that isn't structured around the looper itself. We need more loopers that can be used that way.
Phil I could listen to you play for hours ... and thanks to the magic of youtube i have done that ! Great playing and looks like an awesome product. May just have to buy one. I hope more companies will use you to demo their gear!
We lived on a farm in Hubbard, Ohio, which had a big water pump, and I was climbing up on it. As I was kneeling on top of the platform, it broke and the faucets came crashing down on my finger and cut it off. I can remember it very vividly. They tried to sew it on, but it didn't take, so I grew up with nine fingers. I used to be red when I'd play in front of people because I believed they were looking at my hand, which they probably weren't
Maybe Jimi said this about players that impressed him, I heard he said it about Rory Gallagher... I know Clapton has said somthing like it in recent years! Whatevers right, Phil is an incredible musician on the guitar :-)
Cody Mudrack ;yes,he is. An accident from when he was just a kid , if I remember correctly. Makes his God given talent all the more interesting to be sure
I heard Hendrix was asked if he was the greatest guitar player in the world? He replied, "Go ask Phil Keaggy." Anybody know if that's true? Can anyone give me a source on that if its true?
I went to his show and heard him say he drops half note when performing, does DADGAD and sometimes just drops the top to D. There is a standard tuning video "wind and the wheat" on RUclips
Search Adam Cord.. he has a very nice book featuring many of Phil's acoustic pieces worked out (with the help of Phil) Also, you can go to Phil's website for info and ordering!
Wind and the wheat dosent sound like the beatles? , but I know what you mean , from phills song writing instead of instrumental slap stick guitar jams, phill was the first to introduce percussion on acoustic, he said he stole ideas from Michael hedges new age micro purple dot hippie ass,
Best guitar player I've ever seen...
I just found the best guitar player on the world. Now I can die happy.

I've seen him a dozen times since the 70's. He's so good, I don't know what to say.
I like it when a looper demo shows it being used to play something that isn't structured around the looper itself. We need more loopers that can be used that way.

I love the addition of the PIP foot pedal - thanks for that!
To those who are asking, Phil is playing a Jim Olson guitar. Its a custom shop out of St. Paul Minnesota.

Phil is the pioneer of looping. In the 70's he was using multiple delays to create long loops.

In an interview with Phil he said that he never heard Jimi say that. I think it's just a rumor.
Man, I wish I could just loop what he's playing and leave it going in the background.
Is he missing his middle finger of his right hand?
Cody Mudrack ;yes,he is. An accident from when he was just a kid , if I remember correctly. Makes his God given talent all the more interesting to be sure
Is Awesome Product, How much is the price cost?
Reminds me of mattrach's style composition
Oh I'm so sorry, didn't mean to bring it up if I had all the bad memories.
What happened to his middle finger? I had no clue it was missing?!?
it takes real talent to play a real instrumentand
this guy has it in aces

Search Adam Cord.. he has a very nice book featuring many of Phil's acoustic pieces worked out (with the help of Phil) Also, you can go to Phil's website for info and ordering!
Ravana Devadas no such an article. you simply must live, eat, sleep & breath your God given talent for 50 years or so
Wind and the wheat dosent sound like the beatles? , but I know what you mean , from phills song writing instead of instrumental slap stick guitar jams, phill was the first to introduce percussion on acoustic, he said he stole ideas from Michael hedges new age micro purple dot hippie ass,
nope :/ he "said" that about a couple different artists. I wish it were true tho!
Time..
Same as Jerry Garcia :)
shit...that's..Olsen...O_o
He sounds (voice wise) and looks a bit like Alex Lifeson, lol...
And when he sings sounds like Paul McCartney at 60's...
Babe Ian go a leave you any one?
Yes he is unfortunately
that creepy grin of his looks like he's trying to lure a child into his van
