    I switched to leverless a week ago and created a short highlight video featuring clips I've captured with it. While the results aren't outstanding yet, I'm gradually getting back to my old form.

    After one week, I feel somewhat comfortable with the leverless controller, but not entirely.
    My combo adaptability is lacking with this controller, as I still have to consciously think about the buttons while performing my combo routes, which feels very weird to me.
    You'll see me using suboptimal combos and sometimes making input mistakes because I'm not fully used to it yet.
    And my punishment has suffered quite a bit from the change as well, since the muscle memory from using a pad doesn’t work here anymore.
    However, I did train my Taunt Jet Uppers a lot this week and I think it has paid off. I was mainly focusing on practicing it in matches, that’s why you see me use them so often at the wall.

    • @LawFury
      @LawFury  Месяц назад +1

      @@gelosaurus Thanks my man! I do the Wavu like this: qcf > up > qcf > up >...
      The qcf input needs to come right after pressing up, in order for you to stay linear. What I mean by that is you don't need to press up immediately after performing qcf, but you have to do qcf immediately after pressing up. Otherwise, you'll always do a tiny sidestep in between. I could do a video on that topic if that's what you originally meant with the comment though ❤

      @@krustyalabaster2314 I only have experience with PS4 and PS5 controllers, and I can tell you that doing it to this extent without sidestepping and keeping it linear is almost impossible at this speed. I'm not sure about Lever, though. I can imagine it being even harder there. I bought myself a small budget leverless controller, the Haute42 G16, and I'm pretty satisfied with it for now.

    • @LawFury
      @LawFury  Месяц назад +2

      Aye, thanks my man! To be honest, I couldn't do it to this extent on ds4/ds5 either! It's very hard to perform this so quickly and precisely that you don't sidestep, because sidestepping in between slows down your forward momentum, making it less effective. At the same time, you have to be able to cancel the Slither Step Wavu and block, so the control has to be on point to use this seriously in real games. But pressuring with it is so satisfying haha

    • @LawFury
      @LawFury  Месяц назад +1

      It functions somewhat like a taunt dash, where you try to intimidate your opponent and make him nervous, bringing him to press buttons. The advantage of this over the taunt dash is that the slither step can evade high attacks and you have access to his WS moves, such as the i12 WS3 knee ch launcher. In my opinion, it's pretty hard for your opponent to see what type of an attack you'll throw out, cause you can at any point use out the WS3 i12 ch launcher or cancel and go into normal moves. However, it comes with a cost. it's hard to input and if not performed perfectly, you can get clipped or become very vulnerable very quickly.

    • @LawFury
      @LawFury  Месяц назад

      I've only had a few instances where it didn't come out correctly. I think this is mainly because I need to practice proper quarter-circle motions on the leverless controller. Unlike the PS4 pad, where I could just roll my thumb from down to any side, the leverless requires more precise execution.

      I can totally understand your thought process and I was thinking exactly the same about this topic. But after experiencing hand cramps and pain from using a keyboard for only 2-3 days, I gave leverless a try, and I gotta say, for now, I've never once truly felt pain like I did on the keyboard. The buttons are pretty big, so you don't need the fine precision you usually need for the small keys of a keyboard and they are ergonomically placed well for me. I gotta admit though, I could not spend 200-300 for a leverless. I bought a budget one for 60€.
