My father’s childhood home in Ethiopia is made out of a mixture of straw, clay and mud. It’s so solid! Throw some drywall over the interior walls, itd be great insulation and you’d never know the walls are “spackled” for lack of better word.
Opossums in the U.S. don't look to have the same type of hair. Couldn't use them. They're too dang cute & don't live long. And the majority of their babies don't make it. But the house is awesome!
The mountain he’s talking about is Ruapehu a NZ ring of fire volcano. Ruhapehu is often obscured by cloud which makes winter skiing quite challenging! NZ/Aotearoa is also known as the land of the long white cloud. Ohakune, where the house is located is a bit touristy though, Raetihi is much nicer. 🩷❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜🖤🤍🤎

Poor Possums! It's inhumane... Other than that, fine design, but the outdoor pond needs cleaning

we love the opossums in ontario as they eat pest like mice, bugs and so on, Love the house though.
Hope possom meat is used as feed for other animals...
Possum makes excellent dog food, my dog loved it. Horrible gamey meat for hoomans though.

It is really amazing how sturdy straw bale homes are! Definitely one straw home that could withstand the big bad wolf! 😅

Ohakune... The mountain is Ruapehu. Also Ngaruhoe and Tongariro.😊 Beautiful in a white coat in the sunshine!
