I generally dont care about fade outside. I definitely prefer to have a solid end point. But think of it like this. Hes being swallowed, while screaming "Are you in pain like I am." Hes sliding deeper into the throat of this being. Therefore it grows quieter, slowly fading into nothing.
I'm usually torn between wether i like or hate fadeouts in songs, but I think this one was lazy. Yeah you could interpret it as the singer being swallowed, thus muting his voice. But in that case it would have been cooler of them to fade out the instruments first, leaving the vocalist isolatetd and then do the fade out, or something like that. This fade out just felt like "yeah we don't know how to end the song so let's just fade out". They could definitely play more with the concept of "sliding deeper into the throat of the being", could make for a much cooler and expressive ending for the song
His vocal breaks in Bloodsport (from the room below) are so raw and emotional it really helps convey the feelings. It's their most beautiful song in my opinion
