RNG manipulation with a new game and dead battery is a lot easier, but if you wanna go the "legit" route you can just check it with a lot of pokemon everyday
@@kab4333alt I'm referring to the 2 different "legit" methods that I've seen. One method involves saving your game on the ocean route, catching 5 pokemon, swimming over to see if the island is there, and then reset if not, repeat until island appears. The other, more conventional method, is the one you mentioned where you just fill up a few PC boxes and start checking all of them with the sailor everyday until he sees the island.
