A shame, I really thought we would finally get a controller with both sticks at the top... I was ready to buy this in addition to another high end controller with gyro, just for that feature alone
@@CraftBasti It would've been a neat and unique feature for sure! I find it's unfortunate that they didn't design it that way because for the right people, that would've been gamechanger as there are little to no options to do so.
The only Hall effect PS5 controller that I have seen, granted there aren’t many options, that has a combination of good build quality, good price, or good performance other than the Nacon Pro 5. I’ve been using it wired with PS5 the past 5 months(only for COD and BF2042), and I couldn’t be happier with the software available on the computer and performance from the FPS PRO mode(available through software app). I’ll stick with it until a reputable company with a GOOD QA dept makes a better one.
The idea behind it is that many pro players want the controller to be as light as possible. With that said, I've opened PS5 controllers, I saw the haptic motor, it's deceivingly small, despite still holding "some" weight. In short, they made a controller for a specific market, I can't blame them. Still, I am of the same opinion as you, I wish it was still part of that product.
Still watiching the video, but one thing that seems to be missed: the "unique" way the triggers are configured is because it's to allow for them to be adjustable to any height you want.
I couldn’t really tell so forgive me if this was already answered, but can the bumpers and triggers be configured into L3 and R3 buttons? Example, the HORI Fighting Commander turns what would be L1 and L2 into L3 and R3.
I do believe so, I haven't tested the exact example that you put in but in the software, you can remap basically every button, there are no reasons why this wouldn't work.
This controller is designed with EVO players in mind. You've seen them throw their precious controllers in rage? This Victrix Pro cannot survive such abuse. Whose fault is it? The player. Time to buy a new one beyotch.
Hey man, I recently got the Elite v2 controller for fighting games and had that controller essentially die on me with the bumpers not being responsive and half the paddle buttons on the back losing sensitivity too. I was wondering if you think this is a good alternative for that in respects to fighting games. It looks like it meets all the criteria I'm looking for but I'm curious on how the sensitivity for the D PAD is. Specifically the diagonal inputs. I always struggle to hit those cleanly on the elite, it either doesn't register or goes from diagonal briefly to side or down input, which really messes up combos and what not. So how does the diagonal feel? I saw some DP's when you were playing street fighter, how does that feel? Smooth? Thanks for the review though!
It was surprisingly good, especially using the d-pad that the controller comes default with. I wasn’t expecting the result I got. The gliding was smooth, the precision was shockingly good, paired with that FightPad, it’s a fighting game dream if being honest. In fact, I’d say the Victrix is the best elite controller I’ve used for fighting games, and it is much better at being elite for those than it is for shooters, it’s great for that too don’t get me wrong, just, it’s unique and phenomenal for fighting games.
@ what I find is that it’s all a seperate purchase, kinda wild to me but probably going to go ahead and buy one regardless. Great video man better than most I’ve seen. The feedback I needed
I think that they have specific builds dedicated to either console and pc because when I got mine it was advertised as a Sony make and works without delay on my ps5
Does this work with a steam deck? I don't see any reason why it shouldn't but the last time I had a controller like this where you could swap out the buttons I had to install firmware
Cool this is a thing now straight from pdp. Got some 3rd party HE modules, but it was just the module so had to install them myself. They work great tho
If they do, I'm unaware, but I've always been confused as to if they fully launched the hall-effect module tbh, it seems hard to find, everytime I check it's sold out or nowhere to be found.
Can I use this controller on the ps5 with the Xbox Hall effects ? If I but the ps controller and buy the Hall effects and place it on there will it still work ?
Great video. The ps5 controller hurts my hand. I found the series x controller to be way more comfortable. Having said that would u recommend the victrix or the nacon revolution for ps5?
Sadly, I never used the Nacon Revolution so I wouldn't be able to compare one to the other but I can say for certainty that the Victrix Pro is a great controller for someone wanting these specific types of products.
Except for their locked 125hz polling rate...lol I Loved the feel of this roller for the price. I came from Scuffs and BB my whole comp fps life. When they died and I didn't want to wait 6 - 8 weeks to get my roller back, I found the $70 Gambit by them and LOVED IT. After seeing the BFG I thought, I love this little 500hz, four button roller so much, that their premium pro roller has to be 10x better. Well, it was in every category but the latency. It's atrociously slow. Way behind my stock PS4 rollers and four times slower than my Gambit. I 110% felt the sluggish difference. Also the average rates were all over the place from 8 - 12 ms on testing. My stock Xbox One controller held a constant 8 ms at least. So, this is a Ps5 controller somehow slower than a standard Xbox controller. I went back to the Gambit and just waiting on a BB now. lol
And your comment is exactly why it grinds my gears when elitists complain about latency on high polled controllers. Yes latency is important, but so is polling rate EVEN if latency is average. In the best of worlds, I want both obviously but some people will compensate latency as long as the polling rate is there and to me, you sound exactly like that person based off of your experience with the Victrix BFG. I get what you're saying, sadly the licensed PS5 world is pretty much only second to the 1st party solutions, I always wondered if that was a cap on Sony's end or just that manufacturers didn't focus on that. Check out my reviews on the HexGaming Phantom Pro controller, you might find what you're looking for there. Oh and by the way, BB's advantage is the same as HexGaming, they don't call it outloud but you can confirm in their FAQ section, they build ON TOP of a pre-existing Dualsense controller, that's why they are reliable like the official ones but HexGaming Phantom completely destroys BB as far as a "pre-build" is concerned. Depends on what you want really. Cheers!

I wouldn't effectively be able to confirm that information but I would recommend the Gamepadla website for that specific information. There is a vast database of controller tested and more get added regularly. Cheers!
I would guarantee so, as it is licensed by Microsoft themselves, with that said, so does this one, as long as you are on the PC mode. Steam sees it as an X-Input controller, that's pretty much a near flawless compatibility over any of the popular storefronts. Outside of much older games, I wouldn't have any concerns. If you wish to play on PS4 or PS5 mode (to have the buttons match), that's where your mileage may vary.
Honestly, and that may come as a surprised but if you're looking for a Pro controller specifically for Xbox, which I assume you are. I wouldn't rule out the Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra. @@edssszy With pleasure. If you want something that can do both PS5 and PC, while retaining PS5 features, whilst adding Elite ones (and is not the Dualsense Edge), I could also recommend looking up HexGaming. Nah I just flip the whole module around and have it as a ps5 controller set up but sadly I can't get them new hall effect modules they don't ship to aus
When using this controller for fighting games especially street fighter 6 it shows major flaws. The triggers are a pain. They are super sensitive to the touch. And you can change the sensitivity but that means adjusting the trigger stops which sounds like a good idea. No. Mid match the slightest touch on the sliders for the trigger stops can make them go off. Meaning you are mid match trying to hit the trigger and it doesn't work, or you're fighting to get the trigger stop back into the the spot you had it. For other games this controller does the job though. I actually love this controller but the trigger stops is what really kills me.
They have some of the aggressive-most trigger switches, I get what you're saying. The sensitivity on this thing is bonker, I don't think it even has half a millimeter of travel distance. Feels like I could blow wind and actuate them with that... So yeah, accidentle pushes are prone, at least for me, I'm twitchy when I play. That's why I find the 6-buttons array to be my preferred method, personally.
I believe gyro to still be recognized only by a subset of competitives but I totally get your point. Anyone that invested time to tame gyro know that it considerably pushes the envelope forward.
I hope you're having a lot of fun and learning at Uni, before you know it, you'll blink, be making way more money and it'll be a distant memory. Happy gaming!
🫡 I wonder when their hall effect modules are gonna be back in stock because for owners of this game controller, it's pretty much a necessary buy from where I stand, the clarity of those sticks are ::chefskiss::. It's arguably some of the best hall sensors I've seen but we are a bit held back by no curve adjustment and 125hz polling rate. I wonder if they could software correct any of those two in the future, that would make this controller that much more better if the latency can stay amazing.
