I Flew With Ryanair... (Again)

- While I was in the UK this past summer I made a side trip to Poland, and Ryanair is usually the most convenient way to get there.
Having posted a video earlier this year sharing my Ryanair flights in 2019 and 2020, I thought it'd be worth doing another updated one with a 2022 twist to it!
Here's a flight with Buzz (Ryanair's Polish subsidiary) from Edinburgh to Wrocław!

Hey Alex you should fly Harbor air next It's a seaplane airline it's in Vancouver
Been on harbour air and it was amazing
I was going to suggest this! Was in Victoria last week and ended up watching a few takeoffs and landings of theirs, super cool
Let's hope Alex features my comment in his next video
I've been on harbor air its was cool smooth flying 😎
I’d love to see that
The sales on board are important to Ryanair but even more important to the cabin crew. For a persuasive crew there commission is a big part to their total income. A legacy carriers commission is a nice to have bit on the side. At Ryanair it’s the difference between Ramen all month and real food!!
0:00 The last time that awesome intro music was played on this channel.
Ryan air is so friendly for college student budget who wants to travelling👌🏻
Just flew with Ryanair from Standsted to Szczecin, Poland and had an amazing experience. Great video!
Good to see Edinburgh again.....thanks!
Wahey another trip-report with my favorite Low-cost carrier haha. Lovely video mate. Always great to have you over in Europe. You sitting in a 'normal' seat is going to be interesting lol. ✈✈
Another good Video Thanks Alex
Nice video definitely regret not flying with them while in Frankfurt lol, will be interesting to see the planes when they get the split’s retrofit.
I actually just flew from Bergamo BGY to Budapest BUD with Ryanair, first time flying Ryanair- it was great! Cheap and cheerful. Ontime, clean, and €2.99 coffee wasn't too bad either.
Of course, the Ryanair 737 was a huge step down from the Swiss (LX) A330 business class that brought me from YUL-ZRH, and then ZRH-MXP on an E-195-E2
I was just in Wroclaw traveling from Bristol with Ryanair! Fanatic place, enjoy!
When I went to Poland I used EasyJet on the way there and Ryanair on the way back. I'd be keen to see if you can try them, or Wizz who emerged from the pandemic in a better way but the times of their flights are often ghastly!
Nice video! Do NOT regret choosing to take a different airline seeing this review…
You've learned to fly behind the motors. I like the back rows. You bop around like a ping pong ball and it's more interesting. I like Ryanair's printed TV. Maybe it will catch on.
I will be looking out for the regular seat review!
Thank you for flying RyanAir. Last year, over 90% of our flights arrived on time
That was honestly one of their better landings.
"Washrooms are free.......... for now" Alex please dont give Michael any ideas hahaha
That would be called the Pee Fee...
Actually, Rede Expresos bus in Portugal charges people 1 euro to use the washroom on the bus. Such a thing does exist.
@@A_Canadian_In_Poland wow that's nuts.
Wroclaw has to be one of the nicest airports I've ever travelled to.
Why can't smaller Canadian airports like YHM/YKF have terminals like WRO :(
Id love to see you fly swoop!!
It would've been interesting to see you on one of those packed MAX 8 200s!
Thanks!
OMG YOUR'E LUCKY TO BE ALIVE!!!
At least - when they pack the MAX’es full of passengers, utilizing all the emergency doors, we don’t have the issue of that "unplugged" emergency exit door coming off. 😅
Keep up the good work maybe you could fly with jet 2 holidays?
The landing was pretty good
Logan Air in Scotland.
It could be a special experience
1:43 I was literally about to comment on why that was haha
worth checking out Wizz Air who have a large presence in central/eastern europe next time youre in Europe.
your final comments sum up the whole ULCC/LCC concept that seems to go over many peoples heads. Low expectations for a low fare ticket and you cant go wrong, these airlines really are just running buses with wings.
Nice video 😼✈️
Despite the extra seats in the same length of fuselage, the Ryanair 737-8200 (Ryanair are very careful not to use the 'MAX' moniker even though a MAX is what it is) seems no different to any of the 737-800s with the Boeing Sky interior. I believe they made the space for the extra seats by reducing the size of the galleys.
Will you ever fly to EMA (East Midlands airport) it is my home airport and I love your vids it would be a pleasure to see you at EMA
Did you get charged for the boarding card printing due to visa check?
Personally Edinburgh could stand a modification of the check in area...
Ryanair coffee is brilliant. 5Euros for the use of the air stairs isn’t so haha
nice video, the 737-800 BSI i dont like it because its to bright for me. The 8200 is not that bad for passengers but for the crew it is terrible, there is no space to do anything
Wrocław is very near where my grandparents live :0
I’m going to be at this airport in a few weeks it is weird seeing the airport I go to every year on social media and I fly from Glasgow not Edinburgh
I flew on a max 8200 it seemed fine to me. You should try it lol
It’s necessary to have a pcr test or vaccine?
Hey Alex, can you try Ryanair UK?
Surprised you didn't comment that this 737-800 has it's own built-in air stirs. I wonder if that's a standard feature RyanAir always gets. Being that this plane was boarded both front and rear by stairs vs jetway. Why not delete the built-in air stairs and use portable air stairs? Do they tend to fly into unimproved airports that have limited air stairs available? Or is this a way that they can guarantee to board front and rear at the same time? i.e. faster turn around. I've seen this done at Burbank airport, but they always have a ramp version of the air stars at the front, for wheelchairs, and others who need the gentle grade of the ramp to get up into the airplane. While the rear usually just had the regular air stairs. I almost prefer it, it's so much faster. Plus I get to see the airplane up close.
I have been told it is a cost cutting measure because airports charge for use of their air stairs. So it makes sense for them to have the built in starts to save a few quid each flight over the planes lifespan. They are the only airline which has these as far as I am aware
It's more a time factor they're fully independent when to board/deboard and don't have to wait for ground staff bringing stairs
that landing at 1:35 was surprisingly smooth for ryanair
All of their landings are perfectly fine. It's just that many airports that they are using have a pretty short runway.
@@Martin_Pritulayou are correct or it can be if they have to do a fast landing because the next plane could be landing 🎉🎉
Hey Alex! I love your videos! This was an amazing trip report. #avgeek #ryanair #alexpraglowskiaviation
i don't get why people hate ryanair yes it may be funny but does not mean you need to hate it when i went on a flight yesterday (recently) we were jolting and shaking heavily but the pilots were skilled enough to make it actually really smooth, the reason its not smooth when its calm is theres no air coming against the plane so it comes down quicker than expected so dont take first impressions
Next time Wizzair. It's trying really hard t offer worse expirence than Ryanair (apart of sometimes using better airports) and is getting more and more succesfull at it every year.
Alright Alex, here’s the big question, assuming both go the destinations you want, Easy Jet or Ryan Air?
Liked the video 👍🏻
I think by all measurements EasyJet is better.
@@simondahl5437 Agreed.
I did too, but that was most uncomfortable flight in my life
What date did you take that flight on?
2022
i have flown with ryanair for the last 10 years everything was ok
Would be Great if Buffalo. aquired Ryan Air !
Friede sei mit dir, Bruder. Bitte, wurden Ryanair-Flüge von Wien nach Agadir (Marokko) für den Monat Juli gestrichen? Danke. Ich hoffe, wer Informationen hat, kann mir helfen. Danke.
Das Internet ist dein Freund…
Not surprising that they carry more than 150 million every year.
I am a regular Ryanair flyer and will continue to be.
Alex you should fly harbour air out of Vancouver, exceptional sea plane service and lots of fun
They changed now they butter
Can do esayjet
All that stuff like scratch cards and intensive duty free + yellow Color of seats and etc - it reminds me about some travelling circus 😂🎉🤡🤡
I was on the sunexpress flight that same day much nicer then ryanair
I don't think regulators/authorities will ever let Ryanair (or any other airline) charge for using the bathroom on the plane.
Rede Expresos bus in Portugal charges people 1 euro to use the washroom on the bus. Such a thing does exist.
Michael o'leary is on record many times saying they will never change for the toilet 🚻.. it was a PR stunt used about 10 year's ago that saved Ryanair Millions it advertisements and still is today..
I don't really like Ryanair, but they connect places no one else does.
i will have my first flight in a few days with Ryanair. Can you explain why you dont like Ryanair?
3:32 the safety instructions make it look like the crouching man (third row, far right) is farting,
If Tucson was being served out of Waterloo, Toronto, or Hamilton I think they’ll have more success. London and windsor just seem to be too arbitrary
We want jet service out of peterbough we have 7,000 ft runway all we get is Canada north flying to Ottawa
why no jetbridge? its right there
Ryanair 737’s have stairs built in to aircraft so no need to go to the hassle of attaching airbridge.
@@createandfly4327 And it's cheaper for them to do so too.
@@createandfly4327 When I was in Barcelona they are contracted with the jet bridges, I believe this is included with the package that Ryanair bought from AENA Barcelona airport.
I flew Ryanair and the flight itself was just a bit more "airliney" than usual (worse), but what I really didn't like was not knowing how to do all the things before the flight so that I could fly as I needed without paying for extras. I am a traveler and thus have no access to a printer. Would I need to talk to a customer service person at the airport? Etc. They are great at keeping newbies confused and thus paying more.
thanks for white socks
I bet my own life most people skipped to the landing part just because it's a RYANAIR flight..!!
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooóoooo😮😮😮😮😮😮
I never went on a plane
Are these people all bots?? Bro why so long messages
Well some of them are bots
Their 737-800 looks more comfortably spacious than I thought as a ULCC. As a safety card collector, I wouldn’t like not being able to get one from one of their 738’s/MAX 200’s.
Actually, beware of this because you could get fined if caught. To you it's maybe "just a safety card" but imagine what would happen if every passenger took one safety card. That safety card is a crucial safety equipment and the flight couldn't depart without them, or you could cost a passenger their seat on the next flight because if enough safety cards were taken and crew runs out of replacements, that seat can no longer be occupied by a passenger. I'm a flight attendant and we once had a fully booked flight and one card missing with replacements waiting for us at our home base. It was quite a predicament. So don't mess with that 🤦♀️
How do they accommodate people with disabilities?
Hello DPNA traveller here, you only need disabilities with the airport moist of the time, so you can get through easily, I recommend a sunflower lanyard and book assistance. Ryanair is fine with disabled people, specially if someone has taken your disabled seat then they'll move them for you, do not give up on them as you have the rights to sit there due to EU regulations.
FIY AIR CANADA!
Ryanair is the world's most dangerous airline. Flying Ryanair has been proven to have severe effects on passengers' mental health 🤣
Alex, I would NOT recommend you try a standard Ryanair seat next time. At only 28 inches of pitch, and with you being well over 6 feet tall, they'd have to lube you up with a gallon of axel grease and pry you out with a crowbar and I'm sure there's an extra fee for that!
All kidding aside, flying FR isn't that bad if you know what you're doing. They're the dominant carrier at my hometown airport LPL, so I fly them frequently. Like learning to ride a bike or navigating through U.S. Immigration as a foreigner, it takes a few tries to properly get the hang of it. (1) Accept the fact that after all the UNAVOIDABLE add-on fees you won't be flying for much less than on a legacy carrier; (2) always pay extra for the "regular" fare if not checking bags and the "plus" fare if checking bags; (3) if you're taller than 5'10"/180cm like me then pay extra to sit in the exit row; (4) always pay extra for "fast track" - it greatly expedites and de-stresses the security and boarding processes; and (5) always decline their offers to purchase insurance - it's a ripoff and your credit card will already provide the same coverage.
Always late , always delayed , incompetence personified. One pilot said to me if you want to fly steerage, fly Ryanair. Yip back to Loganair.
It is the European Spirit 😂 😂
For cheap p.ople
