- Ryanair review - Low cost airlines like RyanAir, Easy Jet, Jetstar, Tiger Airlines you name them we have all had problems with them. Here are some things I do to avoid the limitless amount of extra charges these dodgy airlines try and pile onto you when you fly with them.

my brother and I did exactly what you did, we wore our extra clothes and put our heavy souvenirs in our jackets, even my Europe travel book, the Ryanair check in lady was laughing so hard she blindly checked us in without trouble :) :)
Mad respect! Gotta do what you gotta do! 😂
Some great tips here guys, was just about to push the button on paying for seats we thought we had already paid for. You have a new subscriber, keep them coming/
🙏 Thanks for watching, glad it was helpful ☺
Thank you. We are total newbies to cheap airliners. This video was an education!!!👌👍
Glad I could help, I wish I knew about the boardin pass thing before I went to Europe
Great video - really made me laugh - we need more like you! I'm a Brit, an oldie (just turned 75) and resident in Belgium since 1974. I'm travelling to Manchester U.K. and then on to Yorkshire and Edinburgh for a few days early next month. I've never travelled with Ryanair before. Like you I've gone for the bare bones option for €32,98 return. I'll think of you as I rock up to Bruxelles/Charleroi airport in a few weeks time and I'll let you know how I got on! Keep up the good work.
Thanks so much for watching and the kind words! Great to see our generational gap united under our mission to save some cash from Ryan air! 😂 All the best with your trip! I hope Ryan air don't make your trip too stressful, flying can be so unpleasant! All the best ✌️ ☺
I just flew with Ryanair, and I have to say my experience was wonderful. From buying tickets/luggage/seats to check in/boarding/baggage claim.. all went very smoothly. We had on time departure and early arrival on all flights.
From what I’ve read previously, I was expecting cramped and very uncomfortable seats, rude and unfair check in/gate agents, measuring tapes and scales at the gate but none of that was true for my flights. Everyone was nice and friendly, seats were comfortable enough for a short flight and no one was measuring any bags, in fact most passengers had WAY larger carry ons and WAY larger personal items than allowed, but everyone boarded with no questions asked. Not sure if it matters but all my flights were within Spain.
Oh good to know! thanks for sharing, yeah maybe you got lucky or I got unlucky haha,
I flew from Barcelona to the Uk and had the opposite experience. Apparently my carry on was too large for the first time ever!! I was charged £50 to keep it but it was grabbed by the baggage handler just before I entered the plane itself. My mistake for not having locks on it as it had all of my valuables in it including quite a sum of money. Needless to say when I arrived in the Uk, all of my money had been stolen! Ryanair nor airport staff wanted to know. First and last time with Ryanair- never ever again!! Never had this experience with easyJet though- love them.
@@curtisp471 i got a nice story to i booked a flight with ryanair and all was done i was by the gate to board only i was not allowed to board bdw im from europe the reason was because i did not use a passport but if you travel in euope as a EU citizen you can only use your ID card or atleast that is with all other Airlines but it would appear not for ryanair so i was not allowed to board the plane gone was it and my vacation i shall never ever fly with this company again because it just violates european laws for european citizens
What bag do you have that you packed. Can you send link
With Ryanair, the price you see on their website is the base fare for a flight. You get somewhere to sit, and are allowed to take a little bit with you. If you want all the extras, you decide if you wsnt them or not. This includes check in at the Airport.
Wow! I love your attitude! This is such a great video! Thanks! Hate the rip off artistes!
I always, always, ALWAYS, carry printed 2 copies of everything. One copy is used and abused, the other is tucked away safely in my bag. Awesome video as usual. Happy travels. P.S. heading to Da Nang to celebrate Tet with my partner and her family. 6 weeks of awesomeness.
Fantastic mate! enjoy!!!! thanks so much for watching my vids and the support :D
@@PhilosophiesofTravel Did you hear about the Lion Air plane going down? In indo, a few weeks ago. There was a fault with the aircraft, the engineers passed it, when it should have been grounded. Dodgy tickets aren't the only thing to worry about. But life is for the living. Rock on. 7 weeks to Vietnam, can't wait. You guys make my day.
@@MuttsWithGuts Vietnam! Awesome that's gonna be awesome! Enjoy!
Hey mate......cheers for that. Gonna fly with these guys with 5 kids and a wife. Thanks for the heads up. You probably saved us a chunk of change.
Simply genius. Thanks for sharing.
Appreciate the video. It's Monday. Fly Thursday AM. Bought flight tickets a month. Know their a rip off but never thought to look for ways to avoid the rip off madness. So thanks.
You're welcome good luck I hope they work for you!
This helped me tremendously mate. Thanks for the video.
🙏 So glad it could help! Have the best trip! Good luck 🤞
Great video! It's really a battle with these companies..
We also had to pay for the checkin, and we tried to do the checkin earlier through the website, but there is a dark pattern saying that it was too early for checking and that we could either pay for doing the checkin earlier or do it later in the airport..
I wonder if someone tried to sue them for that pattern and succeeded to get refund
I tried to reclaim with my credit card company to no avail after 3-4 months they refunded me then they paid it back to Ryan air nx time I will go to a small claims. Court….
thanks bro very informative!!
Nicely pitched tips. People use as much or as little of them as need be. But it's nice to equalise things and to be frank...it's actually fun to try and down budget the budget airline. In fact they should consult with you!
Richy Orosun 😂 yes you nailed it! Being up front and have some fun with it! 🙏 Thanks for watching the video ☺
@6:30 : What was the yellow tag which RyanAir staff was trying to apply on small baggage ?
Excellent, thanks!
Very helpful! MAny thanks!
🙏 Thanks for watching ☺
Great tips. The last one won't work for me, though, as the flights on my route always seems to be completely booked up. So in order to get an aisle seat I have recently pre-booked my seats and gone priority.
Thanks for watching ☺ Yeah always a bit of a gamble, if you gotta have the Isle booking might be the best way to go!
I'm struggling to print the boarding pass.. no option on their app..
I've screen shot it too print, will this be acceptable?
I am glad I have viewed your show. Thanks.
I am trying to book Ryanair one way MAD-RAK in Jan2020 and the lowest base price per person is very tempting USD16.58 which include one small cabin bag .
I have a medium backpack besides a small roller bag and my wife has a medium handbag and a small roller bag; we both carry US passports. Would we be OK when we have our printed documents stamp at the counter?
Do they straightly enforce the (40cm x 20cm x 25cm) bag size and 7 Kg and backpack is not counted as an extra bag?
Good questions, yeah check in and print before you get there. And yeah they enforce the bag size heavily but not teh weight as much. If you go to check in desk they will weight, and at gate they will check the size of any suspiciously looking bigger bag, you can slip by, but if it's a wheely bag and you havnt paid for the 2 cabin bags it's a high chance they get you. If you're bringing a wheel bag, I'd get the "premium thing"
thanks, I think I shall buy one lowest basic($17) and one plus($65), then it is still cheaper than other choice.@@PhilosophiesofTravel

Hi Philosophy of travel
Thanks so much for your videos......Question:
I'm currentlly in Egypt, but from the USA
I've noticed that upon trying to book with Ryanair they don't have travel insurance for my country........how do you cover your flight
With my passport I have to get to check-in desk for visa check. It is gonna be my first flight with Ryanair and I am really nervous as I wanted to save and took priority instead of check in luggage. There will be approximately 15 kg of luggage (I bring Italian food to family). I did it multiple times with Wizz Air and was checked only once without having priority (bag was too big) but pretended to be poor student without extra penny. If you don't want your bag to be taken away to the hold (sometimes they do it just on the apron), say you have Li-on battery inside. Worked for me, they NEVER ask to repack, as it may take additional 5 minutes.
This airline literally whacked 110€ from me in January. I didn’t know I was supposed to checkin online and when I got to the airport, almost late too, they charged me for late checkin and I paid 55€. Knowing very well I’ve not checked-in my return flight, which was 8hrs later, they willfully didn’t say a word about it. Me, ignorant.. not good at this things... I had to pay same amount again while returning.
A flight from Barcelona to Mallorca and back that initially costed 22€.. I finally had to pay 132€. 😡 😠 😡 . Ryanair: bloody, lynching, bastards. Never again.
Thanks for putting this info out here for folks to learn.
Mate I feel you! Actually same thing happened to us in Barcelona too! So annoying!! Anything to get money out of people.
Good job bro. The true is they advertise tickets with good price and don’t tell you about real cost. You will find out about it when it will be too late. Of course nothing is free but be honest with customers. I had same situation with boarding pass on the airport and there was no internet connection.
💯 Yeh you said it perfectly! Just be honest Ryan air, that's all we ask.
Most of the time their tickets are even not so cheap. Their normal price is between £120 and £230 for standard ticket that I can look to buy for no more than £15 and you have same rights like for this of 15 and will be treated same shit way...
@@botbot2233 geees that sucks! Ryan Air sucks so bad, Im making a round 2 video about them as we speak haha
I've flown with them like 12 times with no issue. You just need to make sure not to click something that you do not want when booking and check in online. That's it. If you're going for the low cost then just say no to anything they peddle to you after that - insurance, you can buy yourself or if you're a EU citizen, you can anyway get care abroad (in an EU country) for the same price as locals due to EU laws. Food - might not need, if only 2 hour flight, seat allocation - if you're travelling alone, why bother? Etc. Ok, there's also bag dimensions but I always take a backpack which is rather flexible and you can make it fit the required dimensions :D Of course, do the online check-in - I mean they have an app for that, with your boarding pass and all. The most important thing is to indicate your details, name etc. correctly but you don't need to be a super genius to get it right, just be attentive. I wouldn't use them to go on a longer vacation somewhere, where you have to deal with bags etc., but if you want a weekend in Berlin, London or wherever and there's a 25-30 euro ticket... I just dust off my backpack, put in some clothes and book the tickets. As people say, they're essentially a bus for 1000 km flights. You get what you pay for and maybe I'm lucky but they've never been super late when I was flying, although I have to say the landing was rough once... but nothing serious. And that happens with all from time to time in bad weather.
Well done, you've nailed this Ryan air hoop jumping thing! Keep it up!
From France. Very good job done, very informative ! But How did you avoid security control of your luggage ??
OUps ! Silly question . hahaha
I would like to ask you whether you recommend us buying a travel insurance, which includes compensation for a cancellation of the flight, or is that thing useless, cause I think the company is obliged to give us the money back, if the flight is cancelled?
Great video cheers 👍
Thanks for watching
Thank you soo much for these information. I have a question, i am an indian travelling to Dublin from Edinburgh in few days. Is there any additional procedures that i have go through??
just make sure you have printed your boarding pass and checked in online, I think thats the most important thing to avoid paying more at the airport. Good luck :)
Good stuff 👍
Thanks for watching
Solid video. Good tips. Thanks!
Thanks mate! Thanks for watching ☺
Thanks for your informative video - I've just booked my first flight with Ryanair (however, through an intermediary), and when you look at the conditions - it's a minefield. Cabin luggage 40x25x20 and 3kgs max, although I'm allowed 20kgs checked. Normally I travel with ca. 6-7kgs cabin and no checked luggage so it looks like they're losing out - because now - I will take my 3kgs cabin and my 45+10L backpack and fill it (probably 10kgs) which means they have to pay for the handling etc... Seems like false economy to me... However, how nice it will be not to have to play baggage mule...
I have had difficulties at some airports with smart phone boarding cards - some officials really want to see paper/card and won't accept images - so it's to the check-in anyway to get something printed out... Something analogue for them to hold... That being said, it's always worked out somehow...
The only time I've had to pay excess was on a British Airways flight when I was 2kgs over... It was the Christmas cake my Gran had baked for me... Probably the most expensive cake in the world... But it tasted very good... In Cairo... In 45°C...
What an experience! Yeah such a mine field, I always try to avoid Ryan air but some how always flying with them 😂
I am looking at their website now and they don't mention AT ALL the 3 kg rule for carry on! They just say dimensions and completely neglect telling you the weight.
Pretty shitty of them since they probably hope we carry more then 3 kg so they can charge us extra!
@@Ivanus59 Negative. the personal item has no weight restriction. However, if you consider that the personal item measures just a little more than a shoebox you are not going to cram more than a little weight into it. Just put a change of clothes in it and deal with it.
Thankyou very much for this helpful video but I got one question. I fly with Ryanair next week so I checked in online. Do I have to go to the check-in desk or is this not necessary? I have only have handluggage, no suitcase.

whatever you say is true!!! They are such a rip off! And so helpful and unfriendly!! We were flying in from Paris to get to Venice, and before that my parents got mugged in Paris, we lost all our money!! And my dad even got an asthma attack from that. Being in a lot of distress with no internet connection, we couldn’t check in to our flight. When we arrived at the airport late by 5 mins, they wouldn’t help us and charged us €275 euros to get our boarding pass printed. Asked for a refund of the penalty but they wouldn’t consider our situation. Such a sad and unhappy experience.
Wow that's horrible and stressful! I can't think of anything worse before the added stress of flying Ryan air! Sorry to hear 🙏
Does it really matter seriously what colour the interior of the plane is as long as u get good deal and comfy flight
I have booked the Ryanair for the first time and flight is in another 8 hours. I haven't done the check in yet. Thank god now I know, I will do it
yes!!! dont forget!!! 3 hours before minimum, Good luck! :D
@@PhilosophiesofTravel I did escape that but they asked me take the print out of the boarding pass and that one page was 10 euros.
Hi i want to take a backpack as carry on luggage that is bigger than is allowed. Will they check the size?
Well there is always a risk, but I like to live on the edge! From my experience, if you don't bring your check-in bag to the counter, (just check in online) and make sure you line up towards the end of the line, as you board, and just in general, avoid the staff, you should be fine. But there is always a bit of a risk. Worst case scenario they weigh your bag, it is over weight and you go and put on all your clothes if you don't want to pay their crazy baggage prices 😉 hope that helps. ✌️
Philosophies of Travel thanks for the advice! Glad i dont have to go to the check in.

Passengers on this booking who are travelling with Non-EU ID documents will be required to print their boarding pass and present it at the ticket desk to have their documents checked and stamped upon arrival at the airport.
However there is no where you can print it
I was looking for RyanAir reviews/tips. I found a flight in RyanAir for a ludicrous 12 Euros from Paris to Venice (1100 Kms). Same distance in US in an ultra economy flight (say Frontier) would at the very least be 10 times that price no matter how early you book. Thanks and cheers mate (is that how they say it in Australia?! :-))
Mate bargain!! Jump through those hoops and enjoy the savings! Yeh you got it mate! You'll fit right in here 😉 ✌️
Ryanair never flew to Paris. The airport is a NO WHERE NEAR PARIS or its region
I always use my phone as the boarding pass and only print it out if needed. I pretend that my backpack is super light so they don’t weigh it and sort of hide it behind me. I avoid that too..I just board last. Luckily, I’m short- 5 ‘2. Pays to be this height 😂
😂 Nice one! Gotta have those tricks up your sleeve
2:54 i booked my ticket with a 20kg extra luggage. After watching this video i checked in online. I have boarding pass but what to do with the luggage? Do i have to pay extra for the luggage if i go to the counter?
Did you pay extra to check any bags? If you're already checked in with your boarding pass they won't charge you for that.
Are you flying with a priority bag ??
What do the labels on the luggage mean?
now its small bags only with random selections for rip off 45.99 charges if you go over this
did you have non priority baggage? wondering if I can get away with it for my travel backpack
No we didnt have priority baggage... I think it comes down to how big your bag looks and how sneaky you are haha, but I believe in you! good luck! :)

So we have to have a printed boarding pass and passports checked (non-eu). We didn't want to pay to pick a seat but it will only allow us to checkin online for our departing flight since it is now within 48 hrs. It won't let us check-in for return flight for free random seats bc it is longer than 48 hours. So they expect us to find a printer in a foreign country to print off mandatory boarding pass?! Grr...ended up paying to pick seats on return bc I didn't want to risk not finding said printer. Bogus.

how did it end up going?
Great video mate. I'm using Ryanair next month and wondering if I should use their own travel insurance. Is it worth it it should I get insured by a different company? If so which ones are the best?
Hope all goes well, check in online before you get there so you don't get screwed 😂. As far as the airline travel insurance my natural instinct just isn't to trust them. I always go someone else. Are you going on holiday? Or just commuting? I never get the airline insurance when just going around the country because most of what they scare you about so you buy their insurance is actually covered under your consumer protections. As far as I know...
Philosophies of Travel Yeah I will defo check in and take a print out to the airport. It's absolutely ridiculous that I will have to find an internet cafe or somewhere while I'm abroad to print it out for my return flight as well. What that fuck?
I'm going on holiday for a week and Ryanair is currently offering me about £12 for it's basic insurance. For me the most important aspect is obviously medical and the basic package covers £2.5m which sounds great but from the reviews I've seen online quite a few people seem to have had bad experiences getting unsured by them.
I'm just not sure if its a case of too many people not reading the small print or if Ryanair genuinely don't stick to the coverage that they offer.
The thing that I don’t get is I did print my boarding pass and there’s no something called a “ticket “???
Guess this might sound a bit lame but This is my first time solo traveling from Bratislava to Paris through Ryan air (online booking)

Oh & whats wrong with me? Whats wrong with you? Some of us change our underwear daily so need a larger backpack - unlike you who clearly turns his inside out after the 3rd day. If you want to pay for my bag and seat be my guest.. if not then mind your damn business b*tch.
P.S Big shoutout to @philosophiesoftravel for giving me the insight to saving £100+ on my weekend away!
Thanks for the video - I like the kind of guerilla war slant you had on it all.... made me smile
Re: "What did I just pay for"? You paid for the cost of the check-in staff, and the rental of check-in coutners and equipment form the airport. Their costs would be a lot higher if all 180 people on the flight checked in at the counter. They charge so much so that next time you won't do it again - either you will check in in advance or you won't fly with them again. Either way - no big queues at checkin...
....*and* thanks to you, no-one watching this video will forget to check in in advance either.. Thank you for showing everyone how much a mistake like this hurts instead of pretending you are perfect. We've all been there and it's not fun.... Did they not send you reminder SMS & email telling you to check in? If not that's pretty shabby on their part. I went the bloatware app, it sent me reminders almost non-stop for 2 days when I didn't check in for a flight which I had decided not to take. I'm not sure it hoovers up any more or less personal data than using the website from your phone. Maybe not such good advice to the general public not to download it.
Re printing vs mobile - I think if you don't have an EU/EEA Passport you *do* need to print your boarding pass on paper (according to their website)- but you seemed to do fine without out & you sound very Australian - or maybe you are a dual national?
Finally - 7kg is the limit in Australia/NZ, but in Europe it is 10kg - even on Ryanair. Everyone has been a kilo over here and there in their time, but maybe though if you are trying to bring 20kg with you when the limit is 10kg, it is time to accept reality that you are beyond carry-on and you should pay to check a bag or get rid of some stuff.
All that aside - enjoyed your vid - thx a lot, I am sure lots of people who have watched it will benefit!
😂 Thanks for watching ☺ You sure know your way around a Ryan air flight! There is something systemically wrong if you need to know all this so you don't lose hundreds of dollars in hidden and obscured costs. So let the war continue 😂
My biggest problem is they have found a way around essentially "false advertising" they advertise a fare price that almost nobody pays by the end. That's the definition of false advertising and in many countries illegal. They put all the responsibility on the consumer and blame them when they deliberately set up difficult systems that reasonable people find it difficult to follow... Unless you're a Ryan air pro to have their bloatware app 😂 but now I'm a pro like you so I shouldn't get caught out again 😉 thanks for the comment and info!
@@PhilosophiesofTravel I do get where you are coming from. It's got a real bait-and-switch feel to it, and people get caught out.
The flipside us that their strict policies mean that the operation is extremely efficient and that makes them cheap.
Next time you are trying to check in with another airline at an actual desk, and you are stuck behind someone completely hopeless, who turns what should be a couple of minutes into a 15 minute drama, you might think of how Ryanair's more or less enforced inline check-in has eliminated that scenario
Also, removing the yellow tags is a very stupid thing to do.
The amount of the bags with these tags has a specific influence on the trim setting of the elevator on the back of the airplane because they are stored in the cargo compartment, a specific part of the plane.
When you remove the tags and put the bags in the overhead lockers instead, the calculations are off (not even speaking of the fact that you will cramp the overhead lockers).
Now imagine this happens often and is added to other calculation differences, worst case scenario the trim setting is so far off that the plane won't take off and you end up driving into a house (alternatively, a tail strike).
If you are caught doing this you will likely be removed from the flight as well.
Thanks for the opinion. Obviously I don't agree. If the calculations were as you say, so sensitive, then they would weight all passengers also. And it would matter in what section I put my bag.
@@PhilosophiesofTravel It does matter in what section you sit and with that where you put your bag, it's all considered in these calculations based on the booked seats, which is why it IS important for all this to be accurate.
@@elduderino6758 so how come literally NO other airlines do this?
And sometimes my bag has to go not where I'm sitting... because its full? shoudnt that matter to the sensitive calculations?
@@PhilosophiesofTravel I worked as an OPS agent for a while and literally did these calculations for Ryanair myself.
What other airlines do or not do I am not aware of, but most of them for example don't have this yellow tag policy so there's a big part of it all you don't even have to consider.
3:12 ??? SOME TIP to solo traveler ?? first time on airport, who or where
Yeah it's an advanced traveller move for sure, I just leave it 3m to my left or right.
@@PhilosophiesofTravel i'm realy confused about this move ... because i don't know how to do it
@@Lklpvai it feels like it's a terrible thing to do, but I don't think it's so bad. One way, if the line is short, I stand near a group of people and bags 2-3m away from the desk so real close, then leave the bag and quickly go line up, check in. Always keep a sharp eye on it but it honestly isn't far away ever. So if anyone is like "hey whose bag is this" you can see and just be like, oh that's mine sorry I was just here.
With fares starting at 5€, one can expect an airline to have other means of income.
Do your research about airline policy before entering an airplane.
Short answer to not get ripped off: don't be stupid.
😂 Take a look at much of the other comments, I have explained this so many times but here we go again. It's actually illegal to falsely represent a product. THIS IS WHAT THEY Do! It's predatory behaviour, it's deceptive and it's hidden. Labelling people stupid when they have fallen victim to a powerful machine designed to deliberately trick people, isn't a smart or nice thing to do. If you know about consumer law you'll know what I'm talking about. If you don't, then that explains your comment ☺ thanks for watching mate ✌️
@@PhilosophiesofTravel Look, I'm not saying your video is stupid, it's good for people who don't want to check an airline's regulations by themselves.
When you book at Ryanair, they tell you in each step exactly what the costs for things will be (like 50€ for a bag, I know, it's bad but it's officially stated and very clear). So if people just read, they won't have any problems.
@@elduderino6758 I appreciate that, yeah its true. I guess my whole point is yes it is technically there, but there are so many sneaky ways that are so easy to miss. Take a look at the video I just recently made regarding booking a flight with Ryan Air. There are so many sneaky little ways they jack the price on you, and they technically disclose it, but its just so dodgy and sneaky they are walking the fine line of legal and illegal and firmly in the camp of unethical.
Its a finely tuned machine designed to take advantage of the mental shortcuts people take when they are stressed or in a hurry. They (like almost all companies) would have psychologists designing these sociological hacks and features, it bothers me a lot.
Hey! i had this thought about how to fuck with these luggage fees and i wanted to check with you if it could actually work. If i'm only allowed to bring like a backpack or smth but i leave my carry on suitcase ''somewhere else'' and then just go with it, could anyone find out that i was not supposed to bring a suitcase? (idk if that's what you meant when you said to leave the carry on somewhere else hahah)
suit case is too obvious, and sometimes they check at gate. But a bigger and heavier backpack that doesnt look too bit is what I do. I dont bring it to check in counter then just go on with it... then if they want to weight it I run away, shove it all in my jacket and pants and come back haha
@@PhilosophiesofTravel thanks so much for advice! i'll definitelly be using that
Thanks brother, I also paid 55 euro, this is to much money.
I tried to check in online in Ayr before catching my flight at Preswick recently, this was more then 4 hours before the flight, what ever I did I could not check in, eventually I went the airport to catch my flight I explained that I could not check in on line, the attendant said there was a slight glitch with the check in service , repeating that, the attendant said there was a slight glitch with the check in service, but I still had to pay 80 pounds for two boarding passes, I think it was the attendant, she was a real angry person, I could not imagine any repu
table airline would treat a passenger like this, I was not very happy. Up till then the airline was OK with me
Damn that sucks!!! Honestly it can't be legal charging people to print a boarding pass to a service they have already paid for! What a joke! Then they hold a metaphorical gun to your head, not giving you the opportunity to dispute your claim because you have to catch a flight. Unethical business practice 💯
Same thing happened to me. I took both my kids to Gran Canaria (single Dad) and had not printed my outgoing pass. They charged me £165. For me and the two kids. I had a flight to catch so I was unable to dispute it. Anyway, I'm flying out to Italy in a few weeks with them so your video really helped me and I'll have my tin hat on ready to take them on haha.
@@davidpatterson2854 damn that sucks! I feel you. Oh yes an unavoidable flight with Ryan air! 😂 yes good luck!!
Is that airport changi Airport singapore?
haha oh I cant really remember... it might have been in the UK somewhere? so many airports, they all mesh into one haha
EasyJet allow airport check in for free
😂 I can't help but think that's like going to a restaurant and saying "this place don't charge you for a plate for the food, hwo good is that", but that is good to know! Thanks! 🙏
U know if a totebag counts as a handbag?
think it matters on size. if it can fit under the seat. but should be right
Do we have to get our boarding pass stamped??. Anyone has any idea
If you are non EU/EEA citizen- YES- you do. Read below what Ryanair website states.
“IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL NON EU/EEA PASSENGERS
Irrespective of a passenger's visa requirements, all non-EU/EEA citizens must have their travel documents checked and stamped at the Ryanair Visa/Document Check Desk before going through airport security. Your boarding pass will display this information for routes that you must comply with this Visa/Document checks requirement.
Non-EU/EEA passengers must do this in order to ensure compliance with immigration authorities. We reserve the right to refuse travel, if there is a failure to comply with this requirement.”
hey everyone, I'm travelling with low costs for the first time in june and I'm worried that my 70L backpack will not be accepted as a cabin luggage. Its dimensions are 63X40X32cm. Does anyone have any experience with that? how did it go?? thanks a lot, travel safe!
How did it go? I’m gonna be travelling with my 80L and it exceeds dimensions 😅
@@ParaCrosp69 hey man. I'm taking my 70 L back to my country but I travelled Europe with a 40 L from a friend. Decided not to risk it
@@paulorosolen8742 I don’t blame you, I’m still undecided in regards to whether I should just pay the premium or not 😅 I’m flying on the 28th August so I’ve still got time to make a decision 🙄
@@ParaCrosp69 i see. Well, have fun!
I almost purchased RyanAir flights until I saw this review. I’d rather pay with no hidden fees.
For sure! me too! Id rather pay the price advertised and know thats all, then rock up and need to pay 50 euro to print a boarding pass. Its quite a headache jumping all these hoops haha.
There are no hidden fees, just read the TOS more carefully when you book anything as simple as that.
You can always fly with a non- budget airline. The clue's in the name of the category. What do you expect for uber- cheap prices? Expect the worst! Then everything positive is a bonus.
Good call go in low and try be surprised. 😂 Let me know if you are ever surprised. I will keep holding them to account for false advertising 😉
I expect honesty.
Thank man, you just saved my life. I booked two tickets with Ryanair and I am really upset about the bag dimensions. Do they really measure bag dimensions too? The allowed dimensions for 7KG bag is (40x20x25).....I have 5 Kg bag (45x30x20)....Should I be worried???
Yeah good question, I havnt flown with them since that rule change, my wife just flew with them with a, bag that broke the rules, and she got through ok. Your bag seems close, you should be right but to be safe I would avoid them and the staff like the plague! Can't trust them. Good luck 🤞!
@@PhilosophiesofTravel thank you for your prompt reply. Appreciated \m/
@@TheFaizanCh 🙏
Yes, you should be worried. The 45 x 30 won't fit under the seat in front of you. You should purchase a different ticket.
Flying to Tenerife they changed the fly 'out' date ... then changed the return date from 8pm at night to 8am in the morning. We booked with free hold -all luggage like any other flight company, but they changed it to £20 EACH two weeks later. The company is a total RIP-OFF!
That's a bloody good tip 😂
..if i have to go to those lengths to fly, then I wont..
The people disliking this video works for ryanair
😂 Yeah for sure
I feel that I'm gonna have the need for you to teach how to evade bank security guards in one of your videos 😀😉
probably much easier than getting 2kg extra onto a ryan air flight id guess ;)
Yes once they split up me from my wife and my wife from our 3 year old daughter. I said to cabin crew... You can put me whatever you want but if you want it to split child from her mother a BIG Good Luck:-) they put us together. That was at the very bigging when they start doing that 2.5year ago.
That's terrible! What a rip!
Check in lady: Is that a tablet down your pants, or are you just glad to see me? 😊
And Ryanair apps is not available in Asia region
travel like a gangster! :)
I never had these problems, i use my Ryanair app to check in and it is very easy. Ryanair is cheap for reason..
Wizzair has taken the place of Ryanair of the worst "low cost" carrier in Europe! Ryanair is now acceptable - they even offer hot meals! Their lasagna is awesome! Wizzair is now the real shit - sitting in their seats is a torture, bad service from beginning to end and no hot meals.
😂 Oh man, I havnt had the displeasure of flying with them yet 😂 I can't wait 🤞
