You are right about the tank being for hot water. The rubber hoses are a feed and return from the cars cooling/heating system which circulates around the ‘tank within a tank’ that you showed. Fill with your cold water and the engine coolant will circulate in its own ‘jacket’ around the inner tank warming up your water 👍🏼
@@ColinsCars you’re welcome, just watched episode 2 and subscribed 👍🏼 we have 2 90’s ‘Smiley’ Transit ice cream vans so looking forward to watching your progress 👌🏼👍🏼
If its the sameone this used to come around the shelfiield/pelsall areaa of Walsall, surely there couldnt have been more in the area at that time. I bought ice cream from this vehicle.
@ColinsCars I also remember the elephants on the freezers, so I was born in 1965 so it was around the 70s, to early 80s. I did a quick check of Duke Road in Chasetown which also shows as Burntwood. Never knew difference tbh. But it's near to the area I lived. Only about 6 miles away.
That is so cool.I bet it played Popeye the sailor man as its ringtune.xx
Off the scale cool!!! Looking forward to following what you do to/with it.
