Next rime soak all but the handle overnight in warm water and citric acid and you will not have to scub anything and than some soapy water for handle ro clean. Dry than murphys oil or even better coconut oil. Will look amazing with no scrubbing. You can still do it if you want it even better. Than you can also make iron warm and coat all meatal with very light coat of coconut oil. AMAZING results. If the handle is metal soak whole iron. I couldnt tell. Hope that helps you

Awsome. I promise anything rusted you will be AMAZED. Didnt wanna see you work so hard. It does AMAZING on cast iron. All those that scrub and bake and seasoned for days. Take it from an old man... not necessary. But you still did a nice job. Oh n citric acid is very cheap. I use about a good 2 cups to every gallon of warm to hot water and 24 hours. Repeat if real bad but NO scrubbing 🙂. I like pitting also unless in frying pans than i want pitting gone. But goid job
