If Mewtwo's tail didn't have such a big hitbox, and his down smash could actually meteor smash he would be in top tier at least.

At 9:29 when Mewtwo does confusion he doesn't stall in the air and separates from the confusion hitbox. Is this some kind of weird ledge interaction? I've never seen this before so curious if anyone knows.

Nick K its because it was the second confusion in 1 jump. First one stalls momentum second one doesnt or maybe a lot less. Try it out🤙

@@benzen5190 Well the only thing I have is due to Mewtwo not having an attack that really covers both sides (for example no down smash that covers both sides) is his best option to try and cover both sides only nair? For example when someone dash attacks you and sometimes they end up crossing up your shield, but other times not crossing it up it can be hard to know which way to attack until you've committed and they're on the other side of you instead when the characters get pushed apart.

Nick K Mewtwo’s nair is actually perfect for that. As you said it covers both sides (although not too far away from m2 sadly). But the great part is that nair is also your combostarter. If you train on your buffered nair fastfalls and combos that come with it, your shield becomes very dangerous to touch. So yes if someone would dashattack or use an aerial to cross up my shield I would use nair out of shield.

Amazing how this set popped up right after I got destroyed by a wolf during my first game in elite smash with mewtwo lol. The Mf was zoning💀 Down smash at ledge is killer as well. Floaty characters have a tough time dealing with ledge trapping

I've comained mewtwo and pikachu in sm4sh, and I comained ness and mewtwo but dropped ness to focus on mewtwo in ultimate. Zenkai and WaDi give me hope that I can at least get better. I might not be MKLeo, but I wanna get to where my mewtwo is renowned and respected :)

One of the commentators claimed that mewtwo has no grab combos but that isn't actually true. Mewtwo can down throw into up tilt upair on a lot of characters but you have to know the percent

watch the visual frame data for wolf's bair, the invisible hitbox at the end of his foot during the bair attack has a radius that exceeds the visual foot. That's why mewtwo still got hit

Mewtwo can look heavier than he is but it can be in part because of his floatiness. Plus good DI and SDI can help him survive longer
