I think the game on pc is fairly fine I played around 100 hours and wasn’t disappointed at all, but there is no excuse for the last gen console version

You do realize people couldn't keep the game open on their consoles long enough to get a clip right? They literally just have it crash in a loop. They ended up offering refunds. On PC you can actually get in the game.

As a developer, I would not want to downgrade my game for console or just make it bad from the very start just so it runs on those devices so-called "consoles". The only mistake they did was allowed PS4 and XBOX one players to buy it.

Not even Todd Howard lies at this level. When they released gameplay trailer of Skyrim before release it was literally what the game was. I even remember knowing the solution to the claw puzzle because of that trailer.
Hmmm I dunno. I agree that during Skyrim it seemed Bethesda was really at the top of their game but after that it went downhill very fast. Fallout 4 had a pretty mixed reception with most of the DLC from the DLC pass being pretty mediocre (I think there were only 2-3 actually worthwhile DLC in that pack). So I think currently Todd has the crown for lying on stage with his "SIXTEEN TIMES THE DETAIL!" BS while talking about Fallout 76. I also remember the "Great Canvas Shortage" of 2018 where people received a cheap nylon trashbag with their BoS Collector's Edition Helmet instead of the canvas bag they were promised (while influencers got incredibly fancy canvas backpacks for free around the same time; man those looked incredible while the people who actually buy their collector's editions received cheap trash). Fallout 76 also ran like garbage and needed a ton of work to make it playable (as this time around Bethesda couldn't count on modders to fix their 'endearing bugs') and it also contained pretty predatory P2W mechanics with ridiculously expensive items in the shop. Dataminers also found lootboxes in the gamefiles at the height of the lootbox fiasco that EA triggered with Star Wars Battlefront and Fifa. So it seemed like Bethesda was really turning into just another greedy unscrupulous corporation who was only after your money. Oh, and need I mention the "Creation Club" with Pete Hines trying to defend their paid mods (when modders actually made better things for free)? 😅 Then there was the Nuka Cola Dark Rum debacle which was just a bottle of incredibly cheap rum in a plastic shell that Bethesda tried to pawn off for $80 a piece or something. So while Skyrim was indeed delivered as it should (although modders had to fix most of the issues that Bethesda couldn't be bothered to fix); it went downhill very quickly. I also still remember that video message that Lynda Carter pushed out after some Sony CEO said that singleplayer games were dead and she made a video stating that Bethesda was still there for the singleplayer game market. But what did Bethesda do right after that? Release Elder Scrolls Online and Fallout 76! So that was just like pouring salt in the wound by pretending Bethesda was there for the singleplayer game lovers while immediately jumping on the multiplayer bandwagon too. 😕 A lot of these guys would make great politicians imo. So no, in my mind Bethesda is currently at a solid #2 spot when it comes to lying about their products and have become incredibly lazy as they have this idea of "don't worry; modders will fix it" while the #1 position still belongs to EA/Bioware (imo) with Mass Defect Andromeda and their 'surprise mechanics' when referring to lootboxes during an official gambling inquiry at the UK goverment trying to lie about the issue with those predatory card packs for Fifa Ultimate Team (at least I believe that's what it's called right?). Also their Mass Effect Legendary Edition wasn't even complete because they left out the Pinnacle Station DLC claiming it was due to corrupted sourcecode when they already knew for years that the sourcecode for Pinnacle Station was corrupted ever since they released ME1 on PS3. So they could have easily recreated it during their development cycle (they claimed it would only take 6 months to reproduce it); yet chose to lie about it suddenly being corrupted. They also left out the multiplayer option because apparently BioWare these days doesn't have any capable developers anymore; just people who can only remaster old existing games. Then I'd put Activision/Blizzard on the #3 spot at the moment. 😜 Personally I really hope that CDPR will be like what Hello Games did after releasing No Man's Sky and just keep working on all the issues in order for everyone to get their money's worth with Cyberpunk 2077. I really enjoyed myself with the PC version but even I noticed that there were lots of things left out or felt unfinished. I also really didn't like how the marketing department was trying to make it seem as if the console version would be just as good looking as the PC version. Showing off PC content while pretending it was on consoles was definitely NOT the way to go though. Still hoping to see that cut content being brought back in, like a better police system, wall-hanging, car customization, etc. as well as those free gameplay content DLCs that we were promised. So far we only received some minor DLC that were just a few pieces of clothing and some alternate appearance for Johnny (which looked horrible imo). So yeah, I really hope the devs at CDPR will be allowed to keep working on Cyberpunk 2077 and give us the game that we were promised instead of the one we received with all the cut content and issues (especially on consoles). I'm kinda sad for the actual Cyberpunk creator Mike Pondsmith as it seemed that he really wanted this game to be the Magnum Opus for his original Cyberpunk tabletop roleplaying game. As such it's very disheartening that things went this way. 😟
Mirror's Edge is a seriously underappreciated gem if only for the sheer physics aspect, it's still 10x better than any AAA game released in the past couple of years. From back when EA were in their golden days

I can't imagine the pain the developers must be feeling having to release their work in an unfinished state. Imagine how you would feeling having to deliver unfinished work and not being able to do anything about it but crunch harder or give up altogether.
Hahah i love how the failure of Cyberpunk is helping everyone really appreciate how much work and quality was put into some of the other games like GTA and older ones we've played.
GTA is a bad example in my opinion especially GTA V with one most boring story and most annoying characters i even see in general Red Dead Redemption 2 on other hand is a masterpiece in my opinion i was close to not buying RDR2 because of my dissappointment with GTA V and that would be terrible mistake RDR2 is masterpiece and worth every price

Bugs and glitches were one thing but honestly I'm more disappointed in all the features cut to meet their deadline. After replaying the Witcher 3 last month it was so clear to me how well written the stories and side quests were. The choices often had major impacts. With CP77 choices have little to no impact and results in the same thing either way.

It's the braindead "PC masterrace" people who have a superiority complex. The game is badly optimized for every platform including PC, but they just don't want to admit it. I was actually able to finish it on a PS4 Pro and I didn't encounter that many bugs, some occasional crashes, few texture pop ups and some minor glitches but all in all, I enjoyed it.

I love the story the characters the setting. I wouldnt recommend anyone buy the game in this state but that doesnt mean its bad, just that the 60$ price tag doesnt add up.

I have an ex-colleague & friend who worked on this. Prior to release, he was talking to me about it. He couldn't tell me too much, but it was clear all the normal devs were absolutely stressed out. He ended up leaving CDPR 3 months after it launched
I remember how when they Delayed to December, we were thinking that CDPR was super-stingy of having a single bug in this game on Day 0 when in reality they were trying to cover their butts
Your just wrong, I got the game day one and put hundreds of hours into the game and never seen a single bug, texture glitch, NPC pathing issue, car randomly explode none of this shit is real. Clearly someone tried to run the game on a computer that was thrown off a cliff into a lake then shot with an AK47. I have day 1 gameplay of the game running beautifully for hours straight with no bugs at all. The story was amazing, graphics amazing, no bugs, this game was a 10/10

The influencers that played the game 5 months before launch and all praised it, didn't lie. they were given specific curated influencer copies of the game, with a specific smaller area well done by CD Project red.
"Vast open world with a branching story line" is such a cliche and well known red flag that it boggles how anyone was taken in by this game without asking more than a few questions.
People did ask questions. The problem is that CDPR literally straight up lied when answering/talking about these questions. If someone lies straight to your face and you have no way/reason to not believe them, what do you do? You buy the game and try it out. And then you realize you got scammed and you refund that shit.

3:08 Basically because prefabs are the ready to use assets for the game and those red boxes are like instances to the prefab, just like shortcuts for a .exe file. If you delete the executable that are referenced in the shortcuts in your computer, when you load the shortcut it will show a warning saying the .exe couldn't be found, just like these red boxes, they deleted the prefab so all the instances broke.
Some of the devs were literally in on it, you see them talking shit in these interviews as well?! And some of the lead devs also stream consistently and talk about the CP77 work, where they also just scam and shittalk people who criticize the game and point out flaws. Chat going "consoles lulw" as if the game was fine on pc. Also the point of the video is to point out that they promised a loooot of features and content, that got cut. Literally the first two news of this game I remember, are the fact that they ended up removing 3rd person - even though it was originally meant to be in. I mean I don't want to be this guy but I played it on PC a lot with everything maxed out (no RT tho) and it played fine. I had the usual bugs like dialogue sometimes cutting out or weird sounds but nothing like in this video. 90% of that footage is from consoles because they can't load in materials and meshes quick enough due to slower hardware. Sure, that doesn't rectify all the AI bugs and whatnot which aren't that obnoxious on PC in my experience but still there like that stupid police-spawning-right-behind-you bug. All these loading issues with mushy faces etc. are exclusively on consoles since it's a hardware issue.

As a developer, I would not want to downgrade my game for console or just make it bad from the very start just so it runs on those devices so-called "consoles". Hmmm I dunno. I agree that during Skyrim it seemed Bethesda was really at the top of their game but after that it went downhill very fast. Fallout 4 had a pretty mixed reception with most of the DLC from the DLC pass being pretty mediocre (I think there were only 2-3 actually worthwhile DLC in that pack). So I think currently Todd has the crown for lying on stage with his "SIXTEEN TIMES THE DETAIL!" BS while talking about Fallout 76.
I also remember the "Great Canvas Shortage" of 2018 where people received a cheap nylon trashbag with their BoS Collector's Edition Helmet instead of the canvas bag they were promised (while influencers got incredibly fancy canvas backpacks for free around the same time; man those looked incredible while the people who actually buy their collector's editions received cheap trash).
Fallout 76 also ran like garbage and needed a ton of work to make it playable (as this time around Bethesda couldn't count on modders to fix their 'endearing bugs') and it also contained pretty predatory P2W mechanics with ridiculously expensive items in the shop. Dataminers also found lootboxes in the gamefiles at the height of the lootbox fiasco that EA triggered with Star Wars Battlefront and Fifa. So it seemed like Bethesda was really turning into just another greedy unscrupulous corporation who was only after your money. Oh, and need I mention the "Creation Club" with Pete Hines trying to defend their paid mods (when modders actually made better things for free)? 😅
Then there was the Nuka Cola Dark Rum debacle which was just a bottle of incredibly cheap rum in a plastic shell that Bethesda tried to pawn off for $80 a piece or something. So while Skyrim was indeed delivered as it should (although modders had to fix most of the issues that Bethesda couldn't be bothered to fix); it went downhill very quickly.
I also still remember that video message that Lynda Carter pushed out after some Sony CEO said that singleplayer games were dead and she made a video stating that Bethesda was still there for the singleplayer game market. But what did Bethesda do right after that? Release Elder Scrolls Online and Fallout 76! So that was just like pouring salt in the wound by pretending Bethesda was there for the singleplayer game lovers while immediately jumping on the multiplayer bandwagon too. 😕
A lot of these guys would make great politicians imo.
So no, in my mind Bethesda is currently at a solid #2 spot when it comes to lying about their products and have become incredibly lazy as they have this idea of "don't worry; modders will fix it" while the #1 position still belongs to EA/Bioware (imo) with Mass Defect Andromeda and their 'surprise mechanics' when referring to lootboxes during an official gambling inquiry at the UK goverment trying to lie about the issue with those predatory card packs for Fifa Ultimate Team (at least I believe that's what it's called right?). Also their Mass Effect Legendary Edition wasn't even complete because they left out the Pinnacle Station DLC claiming it was due to corrupted sourcecode when they already knew for years that the sourcecode for Pinnacle Station was corrupted ever since they released ME1 on PS3. So they could have easily recreated it during their development cycle (they claimed it would only take 6 months to reproduce it); yet chose to lie about it suddenly being corrupted. They also left out the multiplayer option because apparently BioWare these days doesn't have any capable developers anymore; just people who can only remaster old existing games. Then I'd put Activision/Blizzard on the #3 spot at the moment. 😜
Personally I really hope that CDPR will be like what Hello Games did after releasing No Man's Sky and just keep working on all the issues in order for everyone to get their money's worth with Cyberpunk 2077. I really enjoyed myself with the PC version but even I noticed that there were lots of things left out or felt unfinished. I also really didn't like how the marketing department was trying to make it seem as if the console version would be just as good looking as the PC version. Showing off PC content while pretending it was on consoles was definitely NOT the way to go though.
Still hoping to see that cut content being brought back in, like a better police system, wall-hanging, car customization, etc. as well as those free gameplay content DLCs that we were promised. So far we only received some minor DLC that were just a few pieces of clothing and some alternate appearance for Johnny (which looked horrible imo). So yeah, I really hope the devs at CDPR will be allowed to keep working on Cyberpunk 2077 and give us the game that we were promised instead of the one we received with all the cut content and issues (especially on consoles).
I'm kinda sad for the actual Cyberpunk creator Mike Pondsmith as it seemed that he really wanted this game to be the Magnum Opus for his original Cyberpunk tabletop roleplaying game. As such it's very disheartening that things went this way. 😟

Bugs and glitches were one thing but honestly I'm more disappointed in all the features cut to meet their deadline. After replaying the Witcher 3 last month it was so clear to me how well written the stories and side quests were. The choices often had major impacts. With CP77 choices have little to no impact and results in the same thing either way.
RDR2 is so ahead of any game released, it's almost a joke. And to think that Cyberpunk was supposed to be even more ambitious, well, it's not lol

I was actually able to finish it on a PS4 Pro and I didn't encounter that many bugs, some occasional crashes, few texture pop ups and some minor glitches but all in all, I enjoyed it.

Your just wrong, I got the game day one and put hundreds of hours into the game and never seen a single bug, texture glitch, NPC pathing issue, car randomly explode none of this shit is real. Clearly someone tried to run the game on a computer that was thrown off a cliff into a lake then shot with an AK47. I have day 1 gameplay of the game running beautifully for hours straight with no bugs at all. The story was amazing, graphics amazing, no bugs, this game was a 10/10

3:08 Basically because prefabs are the ready to use assets for the game and those red boxes are like instances to the prefab, just like shortcuts for a .exe file. If you delete the executable that are referenced in the shortcuts in your computer, when you load the shortcut it will show a warning saying the .exe couldn't be found, just like these red boxes, they deleted the prefab so all the instances broke.

Some of the devs were literally in on it, you see them talking shit in these interviews as well?! And some of the lead devs also stream consistently and talk about the CP77 work, where they also just scam and shittalk people who criticize the game and point out flaws. Sure some of the devs are just hardworking and happy to be paid and have nothing to do with this shitstorm, but don't act like they're all just angels. The ones that made the big calls were just as in on the false hypetrain as every member of the cdpr directors board.

Literally the first two news of this game I remember, are the fact that they ended up removing 3rd person - even though it was originally meant to be in. And that there was supposed to be a ton of different character types you can play - which turned into three origin stories, that don't even matter.
I think its reasonable as consoles could not even play it.
It might be like no man's sky where they start adding these features later.
Game is fine on pc. All the memes about this are getting tiring. Im having fun with it and everyone i know that has this game has said the same. If its so bad than explain why its doing so well on steam?
I mean I don't want to be this guy but I played it on PC a lot with everything maxed out (no RT tho) and it played fine. I had the usual bugs like dialogue sometimes cutting out or weird sounds but nothing like in this video. 90% of that footage is from consoles because they can't load in materials and meshes quick enough due to slower hardware. Sure, that doesn't rectify all the AI bugs and whatnot which aren't that obnoxious on PC in my experience but still there like that stupid police-spawning-right-behind-you bug. All these loading issues with mushy faces etc. are exclusively on consoles since it's a hardware issue.
@@no_alias_for_me this is very true. Also the police thing isnt a bug. Its just a really shitty system they implemented thats very rushed. Didnt bother me much because the police outside of missions isnt something you deal with often. 99.9% of the time i got cops out of combat or in freeplay was cus i wasnt careful while driving.
