They do that when someone is over qualified, they reject people when they know they’ll get accepted by more important colleges

It's so crazy how you can get Yale and now one like Harvard. Like it's cool, but it just tells you how weird their acceptance processes must be also I do think Harvard takes on more legacies than anything, but Yale is great too worked with a lot of Yale grads over the years which is funny because I went to a public university and didn't even get my degree in the end, but life is funny that way.

I’m a senior, and I keep watching these videos because they’re not only motivating, but are also typically pretty informational. From my understanding, I’ve been given the impression that in your essay you need to just give your personality, and, to be honest, I’m not sure how to do that. A question as well, do you submit the same essays for colleges that call for the same prompts, or do you make a different essay for every college even if the prompt is the same? Anyways, congrats on Yale!

@@JE-kf2yd you say that as if there were facts presented in your original comment other than what happened in the video... Theres no universal method universities use to evaluate applicants, and that fact alone gives an explanation as to why she got accepted into some and rejected into others.
@@jteez8204 nope. if her application was truly good enough to be accepted to yale, then she would have been accepted to at least a couple other elite schools. she won the lottery and should be pretty happy.

i heard that getting into more then one ivy is rare, no matter how smart you are. trust the process, the one you get into is the right fit for you. all ivies will see your strenghts, but will also consider how you will fit into their community and how your identity matches the mentality of the university.
