- Hey everyone! I am so excited to share my 29 college decision reactions with you all. The college process was absolutely crazy and this was my journey navigating through the very emotional process. Join the highs and lows of receiving decision letters from universities across the country.

I had a similar experience. Applied to all 8 ivies and Stanford as an international applicant from South Africa. Rejected by all except Stanford. Congrats on Penn!! You'll do great there.

I think she applied early decision. My daughter so far received acceptance from UC Davis and UC Riverside for regular admission. She applied 16 schools. Non of the Ivey Leagues schools updated yet. I hate that these two school ruin the surprise as showing congratulations on the email title.😂

@@45876 This video was from last year’s application round, as seen on the dates she include in the corner. Ivy Day is March 30th this year, and some UCs are rumored to release decisions tomorrow.

That is awesome that you got in to all the UC schools. We live in Southern California and many of our students with near perfect or perfect GPA 4.5 weighted 3.8-4.0 with lots of extracurricular were waitlisted or rejected by UCLA/UCSB/UCI/UCSD some even got into Harvard/MIT but rejected by our southern California schools. My daughter is going into her senior year with a 4.2 weighted 3.8 unweighted and is very discouraged by all the rejections her friends have been getting. She knows there are good schools that will accept her application but so discouraging to see southern California kids get passed over and out of state kids get accepted over them. Nothing against you, it is the State Universities that are making that decision. Best of luck to you!
I think they are changing that now, the public has spoken and applied pressure on the UC system. I’m hopeful for future residents 😊

Wow, congrats on your decisions! I also applied to 29 schools (C/O ‘27), also applied to Yale REA, and also got waitlisted to Cornell and accepted to UPenn. I thought these similarities were funny! I’m visiting Penn this week and likely committing. Just thought I’d drop a comment since I relate to your video so much and I’m happy for your success!

Congrats! My advice to you is go where you'll be treated the best. The fact that some Universities were offering you prestigious fellowships mean that they will treat you better, and you will reciprocate. A Dean's list student from U of W is better than a C-student at Penn.

hello, first off congrats!! I just wanted to ask how the scholarships work? Do you apply or do they select you based on your app? Is it both?
It's both! I applied to the VT scholarship directly. For WashU and UCSD, they select you based on your general application to the school.

I graduated from UCLA a long time ago, but if I had a choice between UCLA and UPenn, I can honestly say that I would probably choose UCLA. But if it were between something like Harvard and UCLA, then I'd take Harvard.

Yale was your early action and decision, right? Deferred is like from 5% chance to .5%. Nevertheless, congrats!
Deferred candidates have a slightly higher rate of admission at Yale than RD candidates so around 5%

I have a quick question? I am not that familiar with the us college system. But how did you apply to Yale restrictive early and action, and then early action to some other schools. I thought that REA meant that you can only apply early action to one school?
Yale lets you apply early action to public institutions along with their REA program :)

The other colleges she applied to early are public universities, REA means you can’t apply to other private universities
