your ability to persevere through all of the stress and rejections is a feat in itself, far more interesting then seeing you get accepted to a majority of these colleges. im glad you committed to uscb and I wish you the best:)
Thanks for sharing your experience. I know the rejections were tough to take even if you expect them. You got into awesome schools and I think you picked a great school and you’ll have a wonderful experience there…remember to enjoy the moments as they happen. Lots of yellow orb memories. I have a son at Buffalo for class of 2028 like you, and one that is now waiting for his decisions to come in for 2029. Even though we are NYers, He applied to lots of UCs (UCLA, UCSD, UCI, UCSB, UCB), Cal Poly-SLO, SDSU (he loved this school during our visit), USC (was his dream school but visit knocked it down), Seven SUNYs (all free applications), along with Georgia Tech, South Carolina, Virginia Tech, Maryland, NYIT, and Rochester Institute of Technology. We expect rejections by all the UCs, especially as an OOS student but 🤞 for one…maybe he’ll join you at UCSB
Some of these little celebration portals are stressing me out. I knew I got in when I saw the massive word “congrats” and a video started playing. Getting a tiny little email would freak me outttttt!!!

Can you make a video about ur gpa, essay topics, and extra curriculars? 🤝🤝🤝I’m a senior this year and would love to go to UCSB!
ucsb is literally our shit fr we're so gaucho
😂😂😂
how did you apply to so many? did u do common app and coalition?
UCs and CSUs are separate applications not on the commonapp, so that reduces quite a lot

UCSB is so so. I would have went to Boston.
BU General Studies isn't for everyone, + being in-state and much cheaper was probably also a big factor for UCSB
Doesn’t matter, she’s getting a quality education anyway
