Thanks Andy and Barb. Always enjoy the videos and the chatter about how things are going. Hope you get everything wrapped up soon before the snow covers everything. 👍😊
I know its not practical for everyone, but going to a 185cfm pull behind compressor made all the difference in cleaning our combines and heads. I used to use a 80 gallon air compressor and leaf blower, while it worked, I feel your pain. Was a miserable job.. While it still isn't fun, it goes much faster, and seems to do a better job. Have a great Thanksgiving!
It’s funny how we tend to forget how much we hated doing something a year ago, and forget to (or can’t) say NO when they ask a year later. Not a farmer, but I get myself into a few projects every year that I shouldn’t. Happy Thanksgiving boss and good luck hunting!

Cleaning/washing equipment definitely isn't fun, but it sure is nice to have clean stuff sitting in the shed. Now I see why you don't enjoy custom work 😆
Happy Thanksgiving Andy to you and Barb and family. I live in the middle of prime ground that a farm just sold for 18,000 an acre. First time I ever seen the top of a corn bin. That was cool. I been mowing leaves on oxygen and upgrade to a commercial mover and instead off pulling dam sweeper and dumping every 6 minutes that thing shredded to pieces the leafs. Definitely not yelling 8:26 you what to do, but here in the Democrat's Republic of Minnesota, where we have nasty ass cold winters, most farmers take their leaf blowers to "untrash" their combines etc., before putting them away for the winter because freezing weather bearings, and water generally don't get along all that well. I've been out of the program for a number of years and I understand if bearings may be sealed much better than they were 30 or so years sgo. Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!!!
Which is why if you saw and heard me say I ran it for a few minutes so that everything moved and then I always grease it before I put it away and that makes sure there’s never any water in bearings. 👍🏻 happy thanksgiving
This is not for everyone but I have no doubt you can handle this. The sensor on your seat is probably just a switch that you can tape closed and everything will work the same as when you are in the seat then it can be taken off when you trade it in
Appreciate it 👍🏻 I don’t wanna really cold winter because the older I get the less I like the cold, but I’d like to have enough snow so that we can ride snowmobile to at least have fun this winter
if you don't mind me asking, how many acres do you farm? Those bins are so full I'd imagine you harvest hundreds of acres. It does suck to have to clean up the machines, but do it now or do it pre harvest....when you really need that one piece of equipment. Thanks.
Could you have bought the beans from that custom job at a discount and just hauled the beans to your bins so things would move forward faster instead of hurting up and waiting?
I’ve got to say when I’m not having the electrical issues with this one this one is by far the best one I’ve ever owned but my old John Deere 6620 sidehill from the 1980s was a fun combine because it tilted from side to side so you were always level on a side hill
Thanks for the reply, I live on east side of tug hill where you go snowmobiling I think. I have lots of friends and neighbors who own dairy farms , I occasionally help them when needed outside of my normal job. Grain farming is something I’m interested in but don’t know much about it, except for what I watch on your channel and others. Thanks for education and colorful commentary 👍🏼👍🏼
@@tdosztan well not sure how long you’ve been watching, but I show the good the bad and the ugly not just all of the good like some of the RUclips farmers as I like to call them do
Worse part of farming rite there for sure.... Strangely enough it's so satisfying when you're done..... That extra job at the end oughta cure the urge to say yes next time someone asks....... It's just time away from your own stuff, and the money usually doesn't add up for the aggravation.. take care Andy.

Thanks.
Last time I checked, he farmed all of them.
@@onehappyfarmer3461yes we try at least 😜
Could you have bought the beans from that custom job at a discount and just hauled the beans to your bins so things would move forward faster instead of hurting up and waiting?
As far as I know, he already had them pre-sold
Went by the Ohio agg and John Deere in Millersburg ohio A few days ago and seen a grain cart on tracks. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸%
Yeah some guys here have them
What? Your using the N95 particulate filter mask to filter large dust particles? Say it isn’t so!
🤦♂️🤣🤣
Have you and catch any deer? Do you intend on sharing their pictures with your viewers?
Was your daughter a successful deer hunter this year
Nothing yet only went out opening morning and then we’ve been getting everything cleaned up and put away
Hello, enjoy the videos even thou I’m not a farmer for a living. Is there a favorite combine you’ve owned that you wished you still owned?
@@tdosztan well not sure how long you’ve been watching, but I show the good the bad and the ugly not just all of the good like some of the RUclips farmers as I like to call them do
we are overdue for go time I'm over 60 ready to give er
Just hardwire the saftey switch under the Seat.
I’ve had enough electrical problems I don’t need to add to them 🤦♂️🤣
You can't. The computer will shut it down after so many hours of no change.
You guys doing a livestream this Friday?
December 1st
Worse part of farming rite there for sure.... Strangely enough it's so satisfying when you're done..... That extra job at the end oughta cure the urge to say yes next time someone asks....... It's just time away from your own stuff, and the money usually doesn't add up for the aggravation.. take care Andy.
Some guys love doing custom work Rob 🤦♂️🤷♂️
