2 months that's not too bad I ordered lobster trap kits back in November I still ain't heard nothing about when will show up and what I have heard is the price has gone up dramatically 2 years ago I can build lots of trap for 76 to $80 now it sounds like it'll be closer to 150 a piece. new styrofoam lobster buoys are impossible to get and they're still putting more regulations on commercial fishing and cutting quotas across the country on both coasts. it seems to me that the government is actively trying to get rid of the small scale owner operating fishermen that are the responsible ones

Sadly, the previous comment is pretty darn accurate. I can help but agree, if .40 cents of every dollar generated from crop sales relies on foreign markets; perhaps, we need to farm more regeneratively, less dependence on synthetics, supply demand with domestic markets, etc., and fore-heavens sakes not extinguish our soils to feed an over-populated china. We want farmers to be prosperous, we have that history in this country but, this is an an awkward discussion that needs to happen. enough said.
I agree it’s a discussion that needs to be had but I am on the side that we are not extinguishing our soil‘s. If we were, how do we keep increasing yields the way we have decade after decade, even technology, in seed production wouldn’t increase yields if we were killing our soil’s that kind of falls in line with the whole, the sky is falling Climate change, bullshit in my opinion. Our soils are our number one asset. We aren’t going to destroy our number one asset.
It's just unreal what the ones in charge are doing to the American, supply chain...there isn't much anymore. Not sure what you meant when you said you had to have beans in by first week June because of insurance. What type of insurance and why could you not have coverage after the June date? There is so much you have to know to feed our country. Absolutely amazes me!!!
Hi Linda just seeing this comment because when you go past the insurance date they start lowering your coverage and then after another certain date they take your coverage away completely because it’s iffy as to whether or not your beans will actually make full maturity

Well I have been waiting on a valve guides for a Kawasaki motor for seven months. Also I had a clutch pack piston fail on a JD 15 speed trans. They could not say how long to get a new one. I split a none needed tractor just to take that plate out of it to use. As for the fertilizer controls. This new Inflation bill has CO2 enforcement targets in it. That is how Canada is going about regulating fertilizer inputs. So it would not surprise me for the US to go the same route. This is another of Pelosi bill "You have to pass it to see what is in it" type of bills. Also it only costs $430 billion. Add in a huge increase in IRS auditors to "gain" the money so the bill "saves" money. LOMO All it will do is put more pressure on the average working man and increase the government debt. Last I looked it is over 30 trillion dollars now. I am glad I am not a young person in this country. They will not have the same standard of living I have had. Most will never own their own home here shortly.
And don’t forget those IRS officers are going to be armed but they claim they care about the kids in schools so how about we put 87,000 more officers in schools instead

If any of these mega farm equipment companies actually cared about the farms who sign notes, and contracts with them for their farm gear, there must a a spare parts trailer that services the gear you contracted with JD to service all your gear at no cost! It’s a spare parts trailer, that included. So that when your gear need parts, it’s ready available from the spare parts van! Once a part, of support item is taken out, the uplink takes care of reordering the parts! Doing this is cradle to grave life service. Regardless of the type of farming you’re doing your signing for Millions of dollars of gear. When you LLC your farm it’s a business write off, because it’s part of doing business!

in Holland , farmers(for now dairy farmers) are put down with fake nitrogen laws , but the real reason is foreigners, wind/solar energy parks , new homes, and the food must come from abroad, that is how they own you holland must become one big city, i wonder how many people realise what that can cause if thing go a little bit worse
I’m a 30 year old landscape management and pest control worker who has been working outdoors for over 15 years. I cannot imagine everything you hard working farmers are going through right now and have been going through the past few years. I work with many chemicals and all forms of fertilizer; just doing my work budgeting for 50 acres has been hard let alone the 300-400% increase we’ve seen and can’t imagine what that’s like for a large farm. Selective subsidizing and god only knows what other rules regulations and price control you go through to keep things running. I know profit margins aren’t great. Sorry to rant but what I want to know is what do you think the long term implications for our food prices will be? Because I can’t afford $1200/month for groceries and especially because I know that money isn’t going into farmers pockets like yours.
If you get in a bind find a local machine shop and they can fabricate one for you. We did it all the time before my family sold the business. Just found you, what a relief. Finally someone that doesn't hold back. I'm on your side Andy! Lived on a working farm in northern Ohio. Dad died one week after I was out of High School. (1969) I live in central Florida now. The brothers and sisters wanted to sell. I couldn't come up with the scheckles. Loved your interview with your Dad. He has a pretty good memory for a guy 90, I hope he is still around. I'll be watching. Keep the Peace but keep putting out the absolute truth!
Steve if you keep watching videos you’ll see he passed away in July 2021 but it was really a blessing because no more being in pain all the time
@@TheGrumpyFarmer so sorry. Its appears he had a great life doing what he loved. may He Rest in Eternal Peace.

Hey Andy, David from Texas. You're the 2nd person from New York that I can relate to. Our former and hopefully future President Donald John Trump!! My grandfather was a dairy/wheat farmer in Oklahoma. My late brother and I would go to the farm during summer break from school to help him. What a summer education!
Thanks David 👍🏻
Andy the crops look good considering . My hay fields are all dry .Hope i get another cutting .We need rain bad in southern newyork where i am!
I went to penn yan about 3 weeks ago and definitely dryer than us
I’m not a farmer but I grew up in a farming area in Central Valley California. And we just don’t get rain anymore. It’s weird. The desert is having flash floods but the valley has been parched for years.
Yup Jeff
Congrats on reaching 10k subscribers Andy! Huge growth the past ~3 weeks….
Thanks Jeff yeah it’s been crazy lately
That looks like a bottom piece to a Hendrickson suspension bracket that is found on most big trucks if you run into that problem again. Just trying to help mmy friend. Thank you to you and barb for all your work.
We're in trouble. Party on !!! LGB!!!
Thanks Andy.
It’s sure getting bad Bryce
They put sophisticated electronics on farm equipment. We can build parts for the mechanical equipment with machine tools. But the electronic shit when it fails and there's no supply, your equipment is junk. That's why I farm with antiques.
Just found your channel. Lived across the bridge in Jordan for 10 years. Glad to see there are still some functioning brain cells left in Upstate N.Y.
Thanks Mike 👍🏻
Awesome Dad advice!!
Thanks 👍🏻
We replaced all the segments on the rotor on the S670 the local dealer that owns 6 stores didn't have them and didn't know when they would get any but the dealership 2 hours away owned by a much larger name had them in stock, go figure......🤦♂
Yeah it’s getting interesting
the supply chain for parts is bad that i could not get a draper belt for my sp grain swather for 6 to 8 weeks i called 4 different companies so take care of your draper belts folks.
Yeah it’s getting scary Edski
Andy i feel your pain!!! Try to get parts to keep your business runing IM FUCKING GETTING IT AND IM PISSED!!!! Dont ever change keep telling it how it is!!!!!
It’s insane Michael 🤬
Andy im in north west PA about 10 miles from jamestown ,NY and my weather is calling for rain all week and into next week hope some comes your way i see you realy need it crossing my fingers for you!!!
Second batch looks real great.
Thanks Florida Joe 👍🏻🍺
2 months that's not too bad I ordered lobster trap kits back in November I still ain't heard nothing about when will show up and what I have heard is the price has gone up dramatically 2 years ago I can build lots of trap for 76 to $80 now it sounds like it'll be closer to 150 a piece. new styrofoam lobster buoys are impossible to get and they're still putting more regulations on commercial fishing and cutting quotas across the country on both coasts.
it seems to me that the government is actively trying to get rid of the small scale owner operating fishermen that are the responsible ones
That’s crazy Josh 🤬
Hate to hear that josh. They’re doing the same thing to small farmers as well. Having the drive and desire to work hard to support your own family seems to be looked down upon anymore and it’s sad.

We are having the same issues with lack of parts for the Natural gas fired power plant I work at. Wonder why your electric bill is so high? It is the same reason food prices are high. Lack of workers, high fuel costs, lack of parts!!! I hope your crop yields are good, Andy🌽🌽🌽🌽
Exactly Tim but the 🐑 haven’t gotten it yet
Did they give you the juice an you told everyone you can't work here because you did not get the juice.

The ottawa valley has been lucky. 2 days of rain tomorrow! 😁
We have rain all around us right now Steve it’s like I live in a damn dry bubble 🤬
I ordered a tractor, it took two months to get it in. That's acceptable, however the tiller that I ordered with it hasn't even been issued an ETA yet due to parts supply chain issues for it. It's been going on 4 months now.
Yup Barry and it’s going to get worse I’m afraid
@@TheGrumpyFarmer BTW, the tiller arrived right after I posted my comment. I hope you're having an awesome day today.

Option B: take it to a machine shop to fix or rebuild the parts. That bearing part could be machines on a manual mill in about 2 hours or less, and probably would last forever since it would be a casting.

That bearing cap and those two large bolts in the green and yellow bags look rather pricy. Definitely red thread lock! I enjoyed the tour of the fields and simple explanation for guys like me with no ag experience.
Re: your young one, she must send you videos from college you can post. That should prove interesting! What are you doing for additional labor with her not home during harvest time?
Most everything in this profession Keith is expensive 🤦♂️ I got a buddy who’s retired that’ll help if needed. But now I’ll have to mow grandma‘s lawn instead of Chelsea and that part sucks 🤣
Thier elevators don't go to the top floor , it's completely sad.
Point 1, what happens when a belt, or gearbox blows on the combine? We can't wait 2 months for parts when you need them yesterday.
Point 2, the government won't limit us on fertilizer, but they will make us pay through the nose to make us limit what, where, and how much we use.
I "get it" Andy.

I have a son and a daughter. They are both different and the same. Son went to get fire and medical education. He was introduced to the lipturds but was not converted. Our daughter stayed home to work on a horse career. She is not stupid when it come to the lipterds. She can spot them a mile away. I hope thing turn out the same with your daughter. They have become more deceiving in their redoctrination.
Yup they’ll do anything to indoctrinate the younger generation
Seems if it's ag related they are hoping for your scenario...the first 20 acres instead of the last 😡😡 "In plain English" love it 😁😁😁😁👍👍🤣🤣🤣 now you know with those awesome camera angles in the corn...you and One happy farmer would look amazing, sporting some neck garb and straw hat🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Thinking of adding the sun's out guns out, pale edition shirts as well😁😁😁😁 Thank you for the explanation of the beans, and the yields of the ears!

Looks like a motocross track in the back ground.
The supply chain delays are deliberate, there is an agenda happening.
It’s plan and simple. If u don’t have farmers u DON’T eat!!
Pretty much
Dang I thought I posted a comment earlier but seems to be gone. Anyway Supply Chain do suck, I get pissed when they tell me 3 days, couldn't imagen the amount of time you waited. Have a great day friend.
Screw tube plays with comments I think
That would be nice 🤦♂️

in Holland , farmers(for now dairy farmers) are put down with fake nitrogen laws , but the real reason is
foreigners, wind/solar energy parks , new homes, and the food must come from abroad, that is how they own you

@@TheGrumpyFarmer no doubt about that
I’m a 30 year old landscape management and pest control worker who has been working outdoors for over 15 years.
Unfortunately John I think 23 is going to be worse than this year
If you get in a bind find a local machine shop and they can fabricate one for you. We did it all the time before my family sold the business. The sad part is John Deere buys that part from a foreign company when it's just a simple casting. I agree with the supply chain been waiting a month for irrigation rotors. I guess your part been sitting in Long Beach Harbor for 2 months waiting to be off loaded. The price of Nitrogen is just plain stupid I could only imagine your cost what a nightmare the government has created. Hang in there and love the channel.
Lets Go Brandon

I like your point of view and your way of putting things. Everything is upside down and ass backwards in this country right now. I sure as hell didn't vote for this shit nor do I believe in it. The whole manufacturing industry was sold down the river and regulated out of existence. Why the hell do we need Korea to make a bearing trunnion for an American company? There is absolutely no reason for this stupid crap. We used to have our own economy and things worked just fine. Parts weren't a problem, raw materials weren't a problem, jobs weren't a problem. I have problems getting bolts I need and other hardware along with some steel products for my machine shop. I won't even get into other supplies and parts for the farm. We don't make shit in America anymore! I'm done bitching for now...
