Six years later and I learned so much from this video! I even took some notes! You were very detailed and it really helped me to understand so much more about ink! Thank you! ☺️
Holy Fisties! I’m new to stamping and I had no idea inks were different. I used to make water absorbent coasters and I always used the StazOn. Not for any other reason except, it’s what I bought based on it’s name. It works great with resin also. Now my head is reeling. Good thing I took notes during your tutorial. I can make myself a chart. I love your teaching technique. Clear, precise, easy to follow and your voice is calming. Not to sound rude, but other RUclipsrs carry on and on about nothing and though I do appreciate personality and some conversation, I hate waiting 5-plus minutes into the video to start the reason why I’m watching it in the first place. I enjoyed your side commentary, appreciate your personality, you gave specific reasons for your opinions, and you were open to others input. In other words you didn’t feel your opinion was the holy grail. Thank you so very much for this very informative tutorial. You have a new subscriber. I can’t wait to learn more from you.
THANK YOU! I am a beginning stamper. I have been so confused about what ink to use for what. This video was so needed!! Your channel made me want to start doing cards. I'm a veteran scrapbooker but this is a whole new ballgame.
I have always had a difficult time determining which ink to use. I have saved this video, took notes, and subscribed. Thanks for the wonderfully informative explanation!
Hi Maymay, i just found this instrumental video from you. I must say that you are PHENOMENAL!!!! You instructions are clear, concise, funny (your lovely personality is coming through) and complete. I learned so much from you. Thank you very much.
This has to be the first video, I watched untill the very end. Informative, to the point and none of that idle chit chat or useless life stories. Really liked it. Looking forward to browsing your channel and see what else peeks my interest. A warm goodbye from Belgium.
I'm 8mins in & already about so happy at hearing Your Explanations I could just about sob! Thank You SOSOSO much Miss MayMay. I've never really found a single source who could clarify so beautifully! Speaking of 'blooming' YOU are blooming amazing doll! Honestly. I'll still need to review this show-n-telling of AAALL things Inky, for I'm just tickled to pieces very nearly! The multiple videos I've watched are great. I'd begun considering my learning curve was extra curvy... Ya know some of we the peoples are natural born Teachers, in such a way whereby their Students may easily grasp & not become confused nor frustrated. I'm excited to view, take in aaall Your Expertise, experience in the gorg field of these our PaperArts! Did you used to love, back in school when we did those 'outlines'? Ya know the ones... Where you'd have a capital 'A, B, C...' then underneath like a Roman number I, and then a little 'a, b, c...' followed by the '1, 2, 3's...' of it all? I lovedLOVEDloved doing those! It just gave me what felt like a superpower of some sorta belonging in this world! Isn't that crazy. SO funny! And again, at just over eight minutes into Your Informative Demo I just get the sneakin suspicion You very well 'MayMay' have! Thanking You! ~X🎨💨X~
I have been looking for a video to explain the difference in stamps and watched several. This is the first video I found that explains it easily to understand. Thank you for sharing your knowledge
Going through your playlist and I'm so glad I found this one! I've been out of stamping for 15 years, yikes! So I had no idea what the deal was about all these new inks! I work from home so one my down time I've been pulling out crafting stuff and found all my inks were not salvageable and my black looked more like purple! Anyway, thanks for this it was just what I needed. Blessings!
Thanks! I was looking to purchase some ink and got fed up with not knowing what I was doing. Then I did a search and found you. Wonderful. I wanted to ask if you have any links to buying the smaller sized inks from? That would be great.
Hello I am watching ❤this almost 2 times because the ending on my end doesn’t work. And what your interest is cool. You are showing me something’s I thought I knew. Thanks keep them coming 👧
I'm a veteran stamper but I found this video very informative and helpful. A good refresher. Thanks so much. :-) In response to a comment posted below ~ ~ I also learned (from my Mom) about storing my stamps upside down to keep the ink at the top of the pad and I've done this for years. I've never heard many comments about this, nor have I heard any of the "experts" ever mention it. It seems to make sense to me.
Maymay, thank you for doing a video about the difference in inks. It was so informative. Now I will need to make a chart from your video that I can post near my stamps in my craft area as my daughter and her friend have taken up stamping too! I was so overwhelmed by what stamps do what; this video has cleared it up for me!
MayMay, YOU ROCK! I have been watching RUclips videos to try and learn more about paper crafting and stamping and you are the first person that I feel really explains everything with our best interests in mind. And I love your shop, your orders are processed so fast and they are accurate. I ordered from another person/company and I am waiting over thirty days for my order.
A thousand options to choose from and I ended up picking the one stamp pad that you're not supposed to use on paper. 😂 I should have watched this video before I made my first choice.
Thank you so much for this lesson on inks. I appreciate the fact that you took the time to demonstrate the effect and didn't just talk about it. Very helpful.
Hi, Thank you very much. I am very new to card making and not knowing which ink to use for which was that overwhelming i havent even attempted a card yet. I feel alot better about it now. Thank you again. Luv from the UK
I'm new to stamping, but not paper crafting. Your video was fantastic and extremely informative. Much thanks. Took me an hour to watch because I was so busy taking notes! Much thanks for sharing your expertise. Somehow I'm not too surprised that ink doesn't do well on acetate or transparency film. Again, much thanks!
Thank you for this video. Helped understand the Distress/Oxide ink differences! I use StaZon ink quite often, and on cardstock generally I emboss with clear. I clean the stamps with StaZon stamp cleaner that is very good! It might leave a stain sometimes depending on the clear stamp - which actually can be useful as some clear stamps ARE clear and you can’t really see them when on the blocks or in my stamping platform. The cleaner is great if you use StaZon a lot as it clings to stamps making some of the finer lines less clear/clean and the cleaner stops this! Even when you forget to clean your stamp at once and have put it away for a year....! Btw yes the almond smell is wonderful! Takes me bake to my childhood at school. I’m. 66. In our junior school we had small pots like a yogurt pot of thick almost solid white glue with a spatula. I think it was Stephen’s? It was even stronger almond scented and many of us children would eat it! Not good! Probably caused Lord knows what ! Perhaps that’s why I love Amaretto?!
Thank you so much for this video. Although I was hesitant to watch due to the length of the video, it was well worth watching! This was a wonderful overview. I’m new to stamping and I learned a lot. Thanks again. ❤️
Over 3 years later....LOL...Thank you for this video. I've been trying to get a straight answer to these very questions and your video is the best description/demonstration of the properties and basic uses of these stamp pads. Thank you!
Thanks Maymay I found that very informative, I glad you explained about the distress ink and the Oxide ink pads as I did not know what the difference was between those 2. Thanks once again . xx
Thank you so much for this video- it was so helpful. I checked out your website and appreciate how you walk through the use of some of your products. Starting out can be confusing with so much on the market. I will definitely be buying from your site! Can is just say how much I appreciate your line of Scripture items. I make cards for our church and this line is so limited other places. 😇
Hello Maymay- It is very nice to get a refresher on the different inks & what they do. It seems like sometimes we just get in the habit of using a certain ink or 2 to 4 inks & forget about others. Especially when you want to try a new application or something different! Thanks for dicussing these with us!
Thank you Maymay, it is always good to know these details about all of these inks. When you go to the craft store the choices are almost endless. Love your videos.
Thank You so much for this video. I do all sorts of crafts, but struggle with card making. This video will help so much with ink selections in my card making. Awesome!
Thank you for explaining inks and also stamps. Am new to this and had almost given up stamping as it never looks good. Guess what? the only black stamp pad i had was Stayzon! I will be buying another black stamp for my cards! Yay, excited again. Thanks !
Great demo. May I add that the types of cardstock stamped on also makes a difference with the outcome especially water pens. You Rock for taking the time to demo all this!
The StazOn remover liquid stamp cleaner takes it off beautifully and completely. You can get it at Hobby Lobby. This video is very informative. I have been stamping about 3 years and I still get confused sometimes about which ink does what. Thanks so much!
Thank you for explaining these inks. I have been using Versafine, but I just bought some Distress Inks and didn't really know what to do with them. You are amazing!
Just started and ordered some of your stamps this helps me understand what stamps I may need four the different things I would like to make, not only do you seem to know what I need to know, but you make it fun to learn, thank you so much
Thanks for the video! You could try using another solvent to clean your stamps of this ink (like turpentine, WD40, engine dedegreser etc) but double check the material of your stamp & check which solvent will not damage your stamp :-) I've used these solvents for getting old marker off my windows/walls in my camper van, getting rid of very tough grease around my oven/walls around the oven etc & for dissolving glue where it's not wanted (I used turps to wipe off the residual glue from wine labels on wine bottles when I do home brews aswell! :-)
Thank you so much for sharing I found this to be very helpful I have most of these paints however I've never tried the distress oxide ink now I know the difference on that one what's a great video I enjoyed watching it and has learned a lot from it have a great day and God bless you
Thank you for sharing May may it was very very informative for me. I never thought of reading at the back abd i was using the staze on on paper and i did not know . So thank you very much for your demonstration.
Thank you so much for doing this comparison video on the different inks that are available, Maymay. I never knew what these individual did no what made them different. So thanks again!
Hey Mau May great video, you cleared up things for me. I started out with mostly Stampin Up stamp pads then I started collecting Stazon ink pads. I've never had a problem with my stamps staining or discoloring. Most of the time I use the actual bottle to clean my stamps. Mine have a scrubby under the cap of the bottle. Works great.
Hi Maymay.... thank you very much for the hints! It's great! A lot of people struggle with this... a craft shop owner sold me Stazone to use with alcoholl markers!!! She said it would be fine and i bought it!! Great mistake. It was years ago when I started crafting. xx
Still haven’t gotten fully into stamping as it scares me a bit, but this is very informative! Thank you! By the way..I love your videos and your husbands voice always reminds of dr.phil lol ☺️
A lot of great information! I tend to use VersaFine in colors and then emboss in clear because if I fail to remove some of the excess it will be clear and not ruin my card front. Thanks for sharing...good stuff!!
I just love how creative you are, I started a RUclips channel after being inspired by your channel to share my craft/paper project. Thank you for the wonderful videos and god bless!
5 years later and this is still absolutely great for beginners. Thank you for making this video!
It's 2023 and I'm so glad this video is around. I found it incredibly informative. Thank you.
StazOn has its own cleaner. It takes the black ink off the stamps perfectly.
Six years later and I learned so much from this video! I even took some notes! You were very detailed and it really helped me to understand so much more about ink! Thank you! ☺️
