The first is my favorite, too, but not for the same mistake. Sometimes I get distracted and apply the first layer and it is not the way I wanted. 😢 You know: uneven margins, not at the angle I wanted, etc. Now I know that it might be saved by heating the adhesive! 😊 Thank you.
Great tips! Thank you. Another thing I do to get the little peices of paper out of my cutting plates, is to use a lint roller, or a strong peice of packing tape, and it pulls the 'paper dust' right out. 😊 Have a Blessed Day
These are great tips, thank you. I always say that half the embellishments on my cards are just to cover up mistakes! 😂 But they end up turning out even better with my happy accidents.
I had a bit of a hiccup with a Father’s Day card for my partner’s Dad. I used separate stamps to make up ‘Happy Father’s Day’ inside the card. I usually use a stamping platform, but got a bit cocky and used an acrylic block. Did a practice stamp and it all came out beautifully. Unfortunately, it wasn’t until after I’d stamped in the card that I realised it said ‘Happy Day Father’s’ 😂 I msged my crafty sil and she said he probably wouldn’t notice, and if he did we could say it was a dementia test! He hasn’t said anything, so🤷♀️
Absolutely love these videos. Subscribed and clicked for future videos. Now I must go back to watch past videos. Thank you for great card making videos. 💯❤️💯❤️💯❤️
Thank you for solving 2 of my problems 😮 I don't heat my embossing powder enough. I thought it was no good 😂 my stamp has air bubbles and couldn't figure out how to get them out. Your videos are awesome.
Thank you so much, especially for the stamp pads. I often wondered what the difference was between some of them, and I found all your tips very useful thanks again!!!
Those are some fantastic tips, thanks for sharing. I especially like the one about turning the card into an easel card when glued upside down.. although I have modified the inside sentiment to say "don't let the holidays turn you upside down" when I've done that. LOL
This was extremely helpful. Thank you very much. They were all very good tips, but my favourite would have to be the loosening of the glue with a heat source.
I struggle with this, the best explanation I've found is that both dye and pigment inks are water-based, dye inks are like sugar colours dissoved in water, pigment inks are like sand colours mixed in water. Neither can immediately be used with water-colours, but pigment inks can when they are thoroughly dry. Don't know if this is a help, it doesn't help me much!
Hi Lou, another fantastic video to help. Brill tips i always forget which ink pad to use with which medium. Great tip with the upside down card. Brilliant. Thank you as always x
Thank you so much for all the tips. All the issues were familiar to me. The one I really appreciate is the one about the bits of paper on the cutting plates. They have marred my cards sometimes. I will try your ideas for cleaning my plates. I do not want to buy new ones.
Amazing tips!!Thank you! Do you have a video on how you put the gold on the first card front?? I really need that and have been looking for something like that technique for a while! You are fab!💕
Great tips, thank you! I've been really struggling with missed bits when I'm stamping, I thought it was the Tim holtz stamping platform and was going to purchase a different brand but I'll hold off and try these tips first, thank you!
I recently learned about the right way to fold after scoring so it was good to have that lesson reinforced. I didn't realise, however, that I could use my heat gun to melt my double sided tape! Im always sticking things on slightly crooked so will definitely be trying out this tip.
When I first began crafting I checked in card shops to see which way they folded their cards, which is like the example shown here, and I've done the same ever since (despite many demonstrators saying the opposite).
Great tips Lou. I loved the solution you had for the first card, and your explanation of inks and coloring mediums really helped me alot. Thanks for sharing.
Fantastic video Lou, really helpful. I particularly loved the trick of heating the card to lift the double sided tape, I never knew this and I can’t tell you how useful this will be for me. All the tips and tricks are great. Thank you for sharing a super video. ❤😘
Inks! I didn't understand this, can't get inks at all, and haven't here either! I understand we need to use opposite media to avoid smudges and runs, so water-based with alcohol and vice versa? Aren't three of the inks you used (pigment Versafine Clair, Memento, and Distress) water-based though? Fine for alcohol markers, but what about water-colouring? Did you mention anything that can be used with water-colours, without having to wait for it to dry completely?
Hi Lou, I’m having very disappointing results with my colouring efforts. I’m finding Versafine Clair to be lack lustre, getting better results with Memento but it depends on the stamp. My distress inks & oxides appear dried out on purchase. I’ve bought them from several places. Watercolour pencils & regular colouring pencils are not much better. I wonder if it is the paper, I bought it from Craftstash 230gsm cardstock, it feels good quality but it doesn’t tolerate much colouring. Getting a bit fed up as I did go a bit mad buying stamps & dies as a beginner card maker. 😅
Thanks for sharing. LOU, Do you have any tips for wow sticky embossing powder and foils. I bought these from Craftstash as I can’t afford a whole foiling system but I just can’t get good results. I just wanted to do foiled sentiments. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. X
So do I stay understand this correctly if using water coloring, it is best to stamp with either versa Claire pigment Inc. or stays on? And if using alcohol markers, it is best to use a dye ink?
I only ever use Staz-on if I am stamping onto a surface that is shiny/glossy/resistant. Dye ink is best with alcohol markers, Versafine is perfect with water colouring. Lou x

Thanks for sharing! I really liked your first one. I’ve always just cut the front off and placed on a new card base.
@@peggyterry57😊😊😊
First is my favorite as well. For both reasons!! LoL
I have been making cards for decades, and still I learned from this. Thanks for sharing.
Great tips! Thank you. Another thing I do to get the little peices of paper out of my cutting plates, is to use a lint roller, or a strong peice of packing tape, and it pulls the 'paper dust' right out. 😊 Have a Blessed Day
Not heard of that one, thanks for sharing 👍
These are great tips, thank you. I always say that half the embellishments on my cards are just to cover up mistakes! 😂 But they end up turning out even better with my happy accidents.
Finally I know why I can't print large stamps. That was definitely the best advice for me. Thqnk you very much! ❤

You're so welcome!
This was extremely helpful. Thank you very much. They were all very good tips, but my favourite would have to be the loosening of the glue with a heat source.
Some very good tips. If i understood right you can use versafine with alcohol and watercolours. I didn't realise that.
Thank you for watching, Kathy :)

Glad to hear that. Thanks for watching, Karen :)
Great ideas. Thanks
Thanks for watching :)
I do not need anything to fold a piece of paper in half lol lol lo😂
I do love your fix for the upside down card!
The point she was making, is that when you’re folding at a score, ‘bury the bump’. That is, fold so that the bump is on the inside.
Really helpful tips Lou. TFS🥰
Oh thank you! :) So glad you liked it :)
Thank you ! This was so helpful ❤
Very good thank you

Great video thank you I have purchased stuff from you great products:)

Random comment, but, I love that fingernail polish! What color is that?
Great tips Lou xx
Thanks so much!

Hi, what stampimg platform is that?
What causes paper to crack on the fold? Is it cheap paper?
So helpfull thank you so much❤
You're so welcome!
I am going to rewatch the video and write down the tips for matching the stamping ink with the right coloring medium.
Brilliant!
Thank you! :)
Thanks for sharing. LOU, Do you have any tips for wow sticky embossing powder and foils. I bought these from Craftstash as I can’t afford a whole foiling system but I just can’t get good results. I just wanted to do foiled sentiments. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. X
Only that you have to be very quick and press the foil on while the embossing is still super hot, leave it to cool then peel away 🤷♀️
So do I stay understand this correctly if using water coloring, it is best to stamp with either versa Claire pigment Inc. or stays on? And if using alcohol markers, it is best to use a dye ink?

Brilliant ideas Lou, thank you for sharing your knowledge. It is so much appreciated. It will definitely save me lots of money and time.
My pleasure! Thanks for watching! :)
Saw a lady separate an upside down panel on a card base with dental floss but it didn’t work for me. I like your heat gun method.
Great to hear! Thanks for watching :)
Just warm it from the back, and use a wide pallette knife to separate the layers!
❤️❤️❤️
:)
When you get stray embossing powder, just take a small brush and flick it off.
