I wouldn't say I was frugal 100% but I've always lived within my means. If I'm earning enough money, most of it goes into savings/pension/investment (after bills, taxes, living expenses etc...) but I do treat myself to nice tools (which actually make me money back as a side hussle). The only debt I have is the unavoidable one of a mortgage, but I'm working to get that paid off as quickly as possible. Other than the mortgage, I've only ever brought one thing on credit & that was a mistake. It was a Sony DVD surround sound system with some really good speakers & thankfully I still use it almost 20 years later as my computer sound system, so I didn't waste my money. However, buying it on credit was something I've never done again since. I either save up or know there is money coming in to cover it. So many people are trapped in the Keeping up with the Jones' mentality & live a seemingly prosperous life, but under the surface their finances are in turmoil. Living within your means may not be as glamorous but I sleep better at night not worrying how I'm going to pay off debt & interest.

...borrow money to buy things They don't need... you forgot one more..... "To impress people they don't know" meaning borrow money for a fancy car that still goes A to B.
I stopped listening when you mentioned robert's book. That guy is a grifter that gives no actionable advice. He just want's you to buy his book, games and seminars. FYI rich dad doesn't exist and he made that guy up.
Very true, go against the grain & conditioning, buy your future
We were raised to be frugal, have simple tastes and live a practical life. 2:56
I have spent money on foreign language courses to improve my income stream in the future and so that I can talk with Leonardo in Spanish someday 😁
