SURVIVOR WAS ONE OF THE BEST, man do i ever miss JIMI JAMISON, he left us way too early,
Survivor is one of the best bands of all time period. Every musician was pure killer in that band!
I can't believe that Jimi was there and now is not longer in this world. RIP Jimi
One of a kind music Man Jimi...one of the very best Male Vocalists of the world....thanks for the Legacy Jimi! R.I.P.
For me is the best singer Jimi . Always has the right to concerts and albums. I will always love and respect him
Awesome to see the 2 lead singers get along. When they high fived each other after their duet of The Search Is Over, that moment shows you mutual respect for each other. You could give a shit which lead singer you prefer. Nowadays the band is just a shell of what it used to be.
Frankie Sullivan and Jim Peterik, best songwriters of all time
Met Jimi & the rest of the band in early 1985' just before they left for Japan. They weren't in any way, the quintessential 80's rock group. Very down to earth. Basically, old school hippies. Good people. Jimi seemed to be uncomfortable around a lot of people. But, if you got him in a low key setting. He'd kick back and relax. You have to remember these guys were all the way old school, and being on the road 24/7 takes its toll "quick" half the time you can't tell what time it is, or where you are once you wake up, "If you ever sleep in the first place" it's rough life. Not all sunshine and rainbows. I don't care who you are. We all have our demons to deal with. #Peace✌...
Grew up on Survivor! Voice of the 80's!!!
R.i.p jimi.d great one
R.I.P. Mr. Jimison
Great Tribute

This dude can sing his ass off he's a great talent
He passed away?!
@@egidioruffolo8490Jimi Jamison passed away
Jimi small fighting while laughing makes me thinks he smokes
rip jimi I do not avoid crying for you every time I listen to you, the day I saw that you died my soul broke, I hope you are in a beautiful place and I will always love you more than anyone in this life and it still hurts like the first day your loss, I just have to continue loving you until the end of my days, eternal love for you my dear hero
RIP JIMI
Lucas H Gordon Show No sabia eso hasta hoy me di cuenta 😭😭😭 pity
Now Frankie got what he wanted, he's the only guy left from when Survivor was relevant.
@Dark Coven a hater, that's what he is..
WTF? Are u serious? Jim Peterik is one of the best songwriters alive
@@markfreefan No, he means Frankie is the last original survivor's member left on band
This band is 100 percent no ego. .
Similar voice to Steve Perry of Journey. Very powerful. This day will come for all of us. Live life without creating regrets and find a relationship with God. All our talents and abilities are from Him. Use your talents to glorify Him. His rewards are eternal. I used to play clubs in a rock band in the 80's, but it was just a shallow existence. A life surrounded by drugs and alcohol and chasing meaningless relationships. Strive to serve and help others. It is God's plan for all of us. All other efforts and accomplishments in life are meaningless.
Rest I Peace Jimi
You are a amazing 🎸 guitarist 🎸.... Awesome show at Mohegan Sun on 6-6-14.. Mesmerized by you... Was a honor to be right up to the stage and watch your hands play such amazing tunes..Priceless.. Thank you for a lifetime of awesome music..God Bless .. RIP JIMI..
Frankie sullivan was the best guitarist ive seen.
Jimi was a great singer and a nice person for real. Had the chance to meet him when my former girlfriend toured with him in the late 90's. Loved Survivor
Thank you for your music guys! I still play them.
Missing you Jimi...
JIMI JAMISON IS SURVIVOR. HIS SINGING WAS THE BEST BECAUSE OF THE HEART AND SOUL HE PUT INTO EVERY SONG. HE LOVED SINGING. HOW DID THEY MANAGE TO SCREW HIM FINANCIALLY WHEN THEY NEVER WOULD HAVE BEEN AS GREAT WITHOUT HIM. FRANKIE SOMEHOW FAILED TO MENTION THAT JIM PETERIK DID A LION'S SHARE OF THE WRITING.
My favourite interview of Frankie seen this bunch of time love
Listening to Frankie talking about everything
Thanks Karyn! Please share! Thanks again!
I love watching this on RUclips LOVE LOVE Frankie a lot he is soooo handsome and gorgeous looking good Frankie
Thank you Lucas for posting this interview Jimi was a awesome person

Rhythm of the city from Too Hot To Sleep,That guitar solo is something else, the energy is out of this world, very glad those guys still going!!!
I just want to ask how they write songs so deep, so energitic and so beautiful?
they all great
That respect 👏 great musician 👏bravo
Amo esta banda. Al principio me extrañó el cambio de Dave por Jimi, pero me gustó mucho el Vital signals
Take ot from a woman who loved and survived an opoid addicted spouse on 03 people thought it was funny no one is perfect I'm alive opioid took down Prince Tom Petty Whitney and her daughter Keith Richard being alive is a scientific shock Jimi was an amazing Human being with a God given gift he loved to share with thr world who cares I am pretty sure Jimi didn't Plan to OD have a Massive stroke and have his son find him When we each die we have to answer to God Not Social media I really wish I could have met him he was a beautiful man with a tremendous amount of talent respect and love for his family friends and fans I didn't realize he was gone for real til a year ago I heard about it but was dealing with life's issues and problems Yhink this Ever Since the World Began is becoming a theme in many lives today this crazy upside earth is still turning Enjoy his music listen to the words Jimi was a Power Ballad genius thanks for sharing your thoughts everyone thoughts feelings words and actions count
I had heard that Jimi had an allergic reaction to some medication and that’s what killed him, he was not a user of illegal drugs.
Now with Our Lord, Jesus Christ The Saviour of our souls, ..Rest, our Jimi !!
I sure hope so.
@@alancummings5651 let’s hope Jimi didn’t embrace a cultural Christianity. Where you believe that because you’re a good person you’re going to heaven. A true Christian is one who realizes he’s a sinner, repents of his or her sin and puts total trust in Christ. Thus, truly passes from death to life.
What a liar Sullivan is. He said he came up with the riff for Somewhere in America. Uh no, Peterik had written the song already and Frankie played the opening for him when they met. Peterik liked the fact that Sullivan learned it. Peterik is the sole writer of the song. Read his book and check the writing credits of the song.
Frankie sounded super-laid back here. Must have a pulse rate of about seven....
Frankie should do an asmr channel.
hes an old pro, been around forever, interesting to hear Jimi was uncomfortable on the road in the early years.
Should have checked Frankie's pulse.
He straight up reminds me of some TV or movie character, but I can't quite place it.
Kind of weird how the description mentions Jimi twice and he is in it for 10 seconds. No mention of Frankie and he does the interview. By the way, Frankie looks like Garth these days. But one thing about Frankie, people will bash him but he never says anything bad about anyone publicly. Give him credit for that.
Frankie reminds me of that weird uncle who visits on holidays. 'Uncle Frankie'.
I’ve met Jim P, Jim J & Dave B being on the road through the years. Class acts and good people. Frank....not so much.
Any personal anecdotes involving Frankie?
Lol. That's what I hear! What about him was so bad? He sounds stoned off his rocker!
@@saga2964 Read Jim Peterik's autobiography.
What happened after the end of the viewable part? Did you record it?
Hey Cheryl, I know your right... I loved em too as a musician... But unfortunately in this system of things, things change...And all of our favorite singers or groups are not the same...i e.. Journey...Styx...Toto..Foreigner...cause they either cant get along or they have other issues
"System of things." Jehovah's Witness giveaway.
where was Jimbo? 🎸
didn't jimi die of meth overdose? read the public autopsy. I loved the guy nevertherless.
Dónde están los subtítulos?
Podes pinchar donde dice CC y ponertle los subtitulos. Si los queres en espanol, vuelves a hacer click alli y le cambias el idioma. Saludos!
Frankie is high as a kite
Survivor, I like the name, when Rocky gets off the plane in " Ice land", I' think I'll put them in as a Hit !
😢Where is the interview with Jimi??? They only interviewed Sullivan!😭
When did the drug use start? Every member of the band looks to be in physically good health, as if they go to the gym or something. They are very energetic on stage, strong voices and they don’t have the look of meth heads at all. I’m thinking it couldn’t been an addiction to meth, at least, for very long.
No matter the cause of death, it’s so sad to have such a good man and great talent not among us any more in person. I hope Jimi knew the Lord and awaits our acquaintance in heaven.
For anyone who doesn’t already know it, drugs lie and will not give you the peace or anything good that you seek.
Bickler, Sillivan and Peterik are all in great shape, Jimi looked bad. He had a potbelly and skinny arms, just not healthy looking. His decline started around 1995 or so, slowly.
It said Jimmy instead of jamie
Ahora ya sin Jamison en survivor...sigue la Banda ...siguen tocando en 2022 ? O que paso con Ellos?
Hola Hector, solo el guitarrista.
Seriously, Frankie sounds like he is 88 years old.
Didn't Dave get fired twice and after Jumi quit he came back Jumi and Jim P kept Survivor current on the charts and the concert in Japan is killer Frank should be ashamed but he may not feelings only beating in his heart what a shame you have to trample on Jimis work people Still love him what about you Karma is a bitch
Seems off lol
DESCANSA EN PAZ MI AMADO DIOS DEL AOR
Frankie somehow manages to sound like Jack Nicholson and Matthew McConaughey at the same time.
I love Frankie Sullivan! We Irish guitarists have to stick together! The "Jim" that Frankie is talking about is Jim Peterik. By the way, get rid of that "Religion" song at the beginning and the end of this video.
🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀
Dave Bickler not Blicker.
Pls visit my channel i love jimi jamison i sing his song..#phillipines
Be quiet FS. Too bad Jimi wasn't interviewed.
He is the piano dude right ?
The guy being interviewed is the guitar player Frankie Sullivan. All the songs were co-written written by Jim Peterik (the piano player) and Sullivan. Peterik has not been in the band for at least 25 years. The lead singer Jimi Jamison died 4 years ago. He was the guy who sang most of the hits in the 80s, songs like High on You, The Search Is Over, I Can't Hold Back, Burning Heart, Ever Since the World Began, and Man Against the World. The one big hit he didn't sing was Eye of the Tiger. That song came out before Jimi joined the band. That was sung by Dave Bickler. Both Jamison and Bickler were in the band on this tour and both appear in the 30 second clip at the end of this video.
@@ZenyattaFan1 did eversince the world begun sang by dave before he left the group? he has his own version. most of todays plays was his version.
Uh-oh, Jimi dropped an F-bomb.
Sorvivor is jimi jemison.😇🙄
Jimi passed only a month after this?
Hi Scott. Yes, it was shocking that. Thanks for making your comment. Please share with your people! Best!
Dave Bickler was my neighbor in Warrenville Illinois, my daughter was just 4 years old sitting on his front lawn with the other kids listening to the making of Eye of the Tiger!! Hung around with the drummer, making the album Vitale Signs! Jimi was the best singer, when he replaced Dave for that album 😢
RIP 🙏 Jimi
Dave's hair..
I want this man to get ahold of me I can sing like jimi j so please get back to me
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL, they wont hire a guy who stacks shelves at Wal-Mart
@ Haaaa haaaa!!! Love it!!!
wow... is the meth rumor true?
Everybody has something in their life, let's not focus on the negative please. RIP Jimi...
No it is not!!! he never touched, that shit, jimmy died of a massive heart attack due to heart disease it runs in my husbands family
@@Lancerlady yeah who cares but it's just to know why. not to judge!
Yes, the meth rumor is true.
@@gina8594inga That's incorrect, meth was involved, read the doctor's findings.
Don't do drugs kids
Or you'll be like Frankie Sullivan. Haha
@@kevinnelson66 You'd wish you were Frankie Sullivan man..
its sad that jimi jamison died but come on. dave bickler was the original singer of survivor and always will be. he made eye of the tiger as famous as it is today. dave bickler doesnt get the credit he deserved
It wasn't like he was Dennis DeYoung or Lou Gramm. He ended up with vocal issues and was probably out the door anyway. I could listen to Jimi doing a good amount of Dave's songs and not feel like something was missing.
Mike Roge Dave Bickler has been fired again.
michael jagger
Yes and good riddance, although I don't like how he was fired but Dave was horrific in his third stint with the band, just absolutely dreadful. Now it's just Sullivan and a bunch of anons, at least when Jimi left/was fired the second time, Droubay was still there. Now it's only the guitarist from when they were relevant. It's like Foreigner but even worse.
Mike Roge Frankie Sullivan + Friends.
michael jagger
Yep, and I have to look up each and every one of them. Billy Ozzello, Walter Tolentino, Ryan Sullivan, Cameron Barton. Wow, what an awe-inspiring lineup he's got, the height of nepotism having his son there. "Yeah, the great drummer Droubay left, time to bring in my son to fill in his shoes."
His last two recorded words (on television at least) were "fuck . . . yeah." :-D
Sounds bad
